They have beautiful grounds and she was able to go outside which she loved. The staff were kind and caring. She was able to rest in a recliner chair as opposed to wheelchair. OPC was a dream come true. This is a small, family owned care facility. This place reminds you of home. The workers are caring and always knowledgeable about what's happening with every resident. Don't be surprised if you see the owners spending the day with patients. Everyone that works here cares for the residents. Loved ones are free to come and visit anytime. My aunt lived there for eight years and I was never disappointed. Even though my aunt is no longer living, she was always happy and I'd recommend Optimum Personal Care to anyone looking for a facility to care for your loved ones when you can longer do it alone.

My Mom's neighbor is currently a resident here and I've been stopping in to visit. He says they are providing excellent care and have an individualized care plan that is helping him become stronger every day. He's very happy with his care and the facility. A Nurse Practitioner is on-site and makes daily rounds. Chelsea Gardens offers Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy all under one roof. The exercise area is quite large and extremely nice. All the staff I've interacted with have been friendly and caring. The security is excellent here with only one entrance/exit with a keypad code required to enter or exit. If you push the door bar an incredibly loud alarm is sounded. Perfect for Alzheimer's patients or those with a tendancy to wander. All 60 beds are private rooms with private restrooms, televisions and individual phone lines. His room is very nice and looks out onto the well manicured grounds. When he's not participating in rehab their are daily activities planned for the residents. They also offer free WiFi for residents and guests. I hope he's strong enough to return home soon and he feels with the care he's receiving that should be soon. The way they treated our mom was inhumane. They could never give us any doctor reports on our mom…read more It took 40 days before the doctor saw her and the kept trying to cover it up. Our mom was never cleaned and had an immense amount of dead skin cells on her. Due to their neglect, my mom suffered pneumonia and they had to send her to the emergency room. Her area was always left dirty and not attempt was made to make her feel comfortable. It was difficult to get a nurse to help and they could not give us doctor reports on her condition. I warned my wife and the rest of the family members that we need to move our mom out of this place because their neglect will eventually cause her death. The administrative staff told us that their "job is not to make patients better, but to keep them stable." This statement reflects a level of wickedness. They also left our mom with her bare bottom exposed and bedsores left exposed. Our mom's condition deteriorated really quickly and they could not and would not tell us why. My mom would be okay in the hospital and become attentive, but when she would be sent back, she would become unresponsive. We tried to ask why, but they would not respond and would try to deflect to something else. The Director of Nursing, C. Gibbs and the administrator who is also the neglect coordinator were no help. They just tried to deflect our concerns to other issues. The director of nursing and the administrator and were very rude and uncaring. No compassion or actions were taken to know why my mom was not responding. We had to report them to the State of Texas Regulatory System. Please read the low reviews of this place because it reflects what really goes on in this place. The five star reviews really appear to be an attempt to deflect from their inhumanness. These places are just full of money hungry beasts feeding off the infirmities of the elderly.

We were charged for Level 4 care while we were there and when we weren't there. I frequently had to go in search of help and on occasion could not find anyone. I believe they were understaffed and there was a problem with management. After we moved they refused to respond to my texts, emails and phone calls as well as a letter that I hand delivered. Be careful and beware.

There was a fall at the facility and I didn't have any walkie-talkie or no one to call so I had to resort to calling 911 to help the patient. Afterwards then they started coming. I was let go because they claimed I used the wrong protocol. When you are left by yourself and you have no help if there is an emergency then you have to do what is necessary to assist the patient. Mr Tisdale the administrator is rude and unprofessional with no morals. He talked to you like you are trash.
