I really love La Petit. They have a friendly staff. Nicole, Theresa, Jennifer and Heather are dear…read moreto our hearts. They're like family and we trust them with our children. I do wish they had more help. I feel like sometimes, they are exhausted (but who wouldn't be after running after children all day). Just to make it a little easier on the teachers. I also wish they had more of an advanced curriculum for preschoolers who are just a little ahead of their peers. My daughter (4 yr old) is reading on a 2nd grade reading level and I find that she tells me she's bored sometimes. I don't completely blame the teachers; they might be bound by certain guidelines that the corporate office has set in place. I wish there was more wiggle room to cater toward the individuality of each child. I have two school-age children that go here before and after care is well. I absolutely love that La Petite has that available it makes it very convenient when I got into my car accident and we were down to one car and my husband and I had to carpool. They are always willing to wait an extra minute just in case we're running a little late and they're always on top of the schedule so when things change with my children schoolthey know about it. Just all-around good school. I'd recommend it

I would give this daycare zero stars if I could. I brought my 15 mo old son to this daycare for 2…read moredays as part of the drop-in option because I was traveling to Indianapolis for work. They are completely understaffed, in violation of the 5:1 ratio I was told they adhere to. And they had my 15 mo toddler in with the 2-3 year olds most of the time despite me being told when I booked that they had a separate toddler room and teacher. The second day I dropped him at 8:30 and there were 2 teachers for about 15 children total, all ages, not separated at all. Even though there are cameras, they were often out of view or not in the room. They were unresponsive to my messages on the app trying to check in. The food that was given was all processed garbage and I'm pretty sure my son didn't eat any of it either day. There were barely any toys in the 2-3s room and being understaffed with different ages, there's no way they were following the curriculum I was told they would be. The director was nowhere to be found either day and was sending all calls made from the main office line directly to voice mail when I was unable to get set up on the app by her AD on the first day. During drop-off and pick-up I observed older children being yelled at repeatedly and a few crying by themselves in corners with no adult comforting them or even checking on them. I cried dropping my son off both days but was stuck with no alternative childcare while out of town. What broke my heart was picking my son up around 2:30 pm on day two and he was just sitting in a chair clutching a teddy I had brought with him, just crying with no teacher paying attention to him at all, with a gross Kraft singles cheese slice sitting on the table in front of him. He was filthy and started sobbing when he saw me. I'm lucky my son didn't get hurt being put in with older children. He seems to have finally mostly recovered from the traumatic experience but for a week and a half after was having issues at my normal daycare at home in CT that he normally loves. I am STILL waiting on a call back from the district manager from when I called a week ago to voice my concerns. No one seems to care which is incredibly sad and disappointing. Do not bring your child here.

I've had the opportunity to collaborate with co-founder Kelly Dawn Jones several times and have…read morewitnessed firsthand her dedication to educating young children and her passion for making sure that early childhood education is quality, loving, evidence-based, and empowering. L.O.V.E., as she primarily refers to her program, is founded upon: Learning Opportunities Valuing Education She believes that the classroom is wherever a child may be. They're always learning. L.O.V.E. primarily uses the Reggio Emilia approach, developed by Loris Malaguzzi in Reggio Emilia, Italy. L.O.V.E. is dedicated to each child's ability to think critically to solve almost any problem given an attentive teacher, a prepared environment, and supported by a community that sees the whole individual child as significant and valuable to the world before him or her. They utilize movement, music, art, nature, investigation, and discovery to facilitate developmentally appropriate learning physically, cognitively, emotionally & socially. There are two L.O.V.E. locations - both are on the Southeast side of Indy with this location being the main location and corporate office. L.O.V.E. offers sliding scale and accepts CCDF, On My Way Pre-K, and Indy PSP. L.O.V.E. has been around for 9 years. In addition to its services specifically with children, L.O.V.E. co-founder (with her now retired mother) is a constant advocate for the children she serves and for early childhood education. You can find her following legislation impacting children (how I met her) and attending rallies on behalf of teachers. L.O.V.E. also trains and certifies a pool of substitute teachers who are then available citywide to early childhood centers in need. L.O.V.E. has a deep desire to positively impact Indy's Southeastside and has creatively adjusted to meet the needs of parents during the current pandemic. They are open Monday-Friday with hours adjusted according to the needs of the children they teach. Jones does remarkable work and her enthusiasm is contagious. She passes that on to the teachers she teaches and, in turn, they pass it on to the children. A wonderful gem on Indy's Southeastside, L.O.V.E. is an under-recognized option for early childhood education and the more I've learned about it the more I've been impressed.

It's sad when someone who has been entrusted with your child's care for almost 5 years violates…read moreyour child's privacy by putting them on the 5 o'clock news without your permission because their fight for equitable pay is more important than ensuring your child's safety! On top of that continually questions your parental authority! Enough was enough! Kelly-sole proprietor of Love Your Child's Care Childcare, LLC invited the news and didn't inform parents until less than an hour before it occurred then wasn't responsible enough to be on site to ensure kiddos privacy was maintained allowing WTHR-TV to then put unedited videos featuring my children on the news and web without any parental permission! They also put the sign in sheet with names of some of the children on said video as well! Now did they get it taken down as soon as possible, yes, but was the damage and the trust already broken......definitely! Then when all the parents are expressing their anger at her for allowing this to happen in the FB group chat she uses, I express my outrage and say she should have been there or should have rescheduled to ensure the kids were protected, and that it wasn't her teachers responsibility but hers as she's the one who scheduled the interview in the first place! So instead of taking the Criticism for her mistake in stride, she removes me and other parents from the chat because she doesn't like what we're saying! She then calls an impromptu emergency parent meeting at 10pm that night AFTER a parent earlier in the week had already requested one for other concerns (changing the hours with less than a weeks notice) which had been ignored and cries the entire time and instead of apologizing, goes on and on about why she's fighting so hard with Childcare Changemakers for childcare workers rights & wages, but I'm sorry, not at the expense of my child's rights or the rights of other children or their parents! I get it I do, but Not at the expense of the kids! Now Why didn't I immediately pull them? Well let's see, I don't have to answer that but for personal reasons! Partially though because Kelly does mainly behind the scenes now and doesn't do a lot of direct care anymore, she pays others to do that, so I still trusted those staff! But I did inform them immediately that I was searching for alternative care! Then today I get a message asking if their last day was Thursday! I'm like uh, no! I only informed you I was looking, not if a date we were leaving! Then it goes on about how they want to give my daughter a 'graduation' although they've been informed multiple times that although I'm trying to get her into kindergarten, there's no guarantee as she misses the cut off! I don't want to get her hopes up! So I ask, for multiple reasons, for them to do something private between her and them and to also write her a letter that I can put in her keepsake box to read when she's older! Instead of saying ok we will respect your request as parent, I'm questioned and completely & rudely told they don't accept that, that as her teachers for the last 5 years they have the right to celebrate her how they want! Well, sorry, you're not! I know im knew at this whole parenting thing as I just adopted my kids, BUT, questioning me every time I exert my parental authority, sorry that doesn't work for me! I don't care how much experience you have, it does not mean you know better than me for my own child! I will note we've had ongoing issue for about the last year and a half as was discussed during the recent emergency meeting. This was just the breaking point! This is on top of us making every sacrifice to NOT move them as these kiddos have had enough trauma in their lives and paying exorbitant fees on top of having CCDF! So sad to say our relationship with Love came to a sad end today and I had to immediately pull my children! Especially since none of the teachers want to talk to me and have apparently blocked me, a parent, on their main form of communication! Then Kelly wants to message me and has her settings so parent can't respond! Let's just say, Love & it's care is totally not what it used to be! I do NOT sadly recommend this program at this time! So many happy memories and such a sad ending! Those are the facts....you do with them what you will! So not only have my kids lost their teachers they love, they lost their godmom Kelly! This mom is just so devastated by the recent turn of events in our life! I wish the best for Kelly and staff!

Her love for not only the children but her job shows in her everyday. When we walk in the door every morning, the positive energy is just exploding and the welcome from each and every employee is the best way to start our day. My son loves the teachers and thoroughly enjoys this facility. We toured several daycares when we were pregnant and found only two that we would even consider sending our child. I love that there are no screens for the kids, they have dedicated outdoor time everyday when the weather is nice, and there are cameras in the rooms for parents to peak in on their kids during the day. I never feel like we need the camera to make sure he's being treated correctly, but being able to see him playing and interacting with the other kids brings a lot of joy. The teachers send a daily report and there are nearly always photos. I'm so thankful we found such a wonderful place to provide childcare.
