They also offer a lot of fresh and frozen seafood. You can find a lot of groceries from all over the word here. This place is great but- There is so much stuff that it is actually hard to find the things that you are looking for. I also didn't notice signs to direct you to particular countries or even continents. The biggest problem with shopping here are the very tight aisles. If you see someone with a cart there isn't enough room to go around them. Checking out can be challenging for some because it is like a maze with all kinds of things in your way so you have to figure it out. They also have a lot of merchandise that you don't see it until you are on the way out.

This is not a restaurant! (In case you mistaken it for one from the cover photo of a sushi roll)…read more This is an order-ahead of time sushi market. I found them a few years ago on Instagram. They use to be more social media friendly; posting new specials and reposting tags. Since the pandemic they have gone quiet however they still answer their messages and that's how I always order with them. They have a Google spreadsheet of what they have available although they do have dry goods but it's not listed in that spreadsheet for some reason. They use to have package specials but as of this point they aren't doing those. They also use to have same day pick up but not anymore. So you can message them on IG or call/text them with your order a day before (I believe you have to do it by noon) then you can pick up the next day from 11am-2pm. You pay at pick up and it's usually ready in a brown box by the counter inside the warehouse/fridge. They won't be able to give you that total until the morning of pick up because that's when they package and weigh all your items. They give you plenty of ice and those reusable ice bags. Their prices have gone up since the pandemic and inflation but still cheaper than going out to a restaurant. Oh minimum order is $100. We order when we have family get togethers or when we need to stock up on imitation crab meat, broiled eel, or shrimp tempura. So for Mother's Day we got the salmon belly, otoro (Omgosh it was so fatty!), uni and fresh wasabi. My sister made a uni pasta and my mom and auntie just devoured it! Then they had another tray just to themselves of uni, they were in uni heaven! (If you read my last Yama Sushi review then you'll understand - they were quite disappointed with Yama sushi not having uni the last couple of times they were there so I decided to make their unit dreams come true haha). Great quality of fish. I wished they had the Japanese Mayo in stock and the otoro in a smaller size, they were offering half pound blocks a while ago but I guess they decided to do away with it. So I ended up with a 1.4 lb of otoro and it was just way too much. I was also a bit disappointed that they didn't skin it and there were still a bunch of bones in it. After my order last week they started to post some specials on IG so hopefully they'll get back to some of their other package deals. Keep an eye out for them if you are wanting to host your own sushi party.

We made seafood boilds with snow crab, scallops, and peeled shrimp. All seafood boils come with sausage, corn, and potatoes. It was so tasty and seasoned to perfection. The amount of food was so huge that we made takeouts full of meat. The bowls of ckam chowder are creamy, seasoned so well, and full of whole fresh calms. The price is supported by the literal fresh out of the tank seafood, the quantity you receive, and the outstanding customer service you receive. Oh yeah, it's super clean and the decor is classic.

The shrimp were fine, but the pan roast was so rich and heavy that it became hard to eat after a few bites. It felt more overwhelming than comforting. Dessert didn't help. The cheesecake came out straight from the fridge and was so cold it was firm and difficult to enjoy. Cheesecake should be creamy, not something you have to wrestle with. Service was also very slow since it looked like only one server was trying to take care of the whole floor, which made the wait time drag. Not terrible, but for a place built around indulgent seafood and comfort flavors, the execution and service just didn't land.

I pulled a grocery cart at the entrance of the store and headed for the produce. I chose my fruit then went to the meat section and didn't see anything I wanted. I continued to walk around the fish/seafood section and looked down some of the aisles. I found some items down a couple of the aisles, then I went back to the produce section to pick up more fruit. After that, I went to the checkout line, paid for my groceries, then put my bags of groceries into my grocery cart. I pushed my grocery cart to the area where the grocery carts are returned inside the store and put my groceries that I had just paid for into my two (2) large tote bags that I brought with me to the store. I don't drive and the store is conveniently located near my apartment complex, so I can walk to and from the SF Supermarket. My tote bags that I brought with me make carrying my groceries easier while walking. By the way, my two (2) tote bags stayed on my shoulder the entire time I was shopping until it was time to put my groceries in my tote bags. As I turned to walk towards the exit of the store to leave, an older Asian woman (I didn't get her name) surprised me because she was frantically talking to me and pointing to my tote bags. I couldn't understand what she was saying, but her actions indicated that she wanted to look in my bags. She wanted me to go to the counter at the front of the store to check my bags. I arrived at that conclusion because she continued to point to the counter at the front of the store and continued to point/look at my bags. While still at the grocery cart return area, I opened my two (2) bags and held them towards her so that she could look in them, but she walked away. I walked towards the front entrance while asking her again if she wanted to look in my bags, but again she kept walking. I asked her two more times if she wanted to check my bags and my receipt. She then turned right and walked between the checkout counters towards the back of the store. I believed she continued to walk away because she realized I hadn't stolen anything. What thief is going to open up their bags for review if they stole something. Or maybe she already knew I hadn't stolen anything, she just wanted to make my experience at the store a horrible experience so that I wouldn't return to the store. I wanted her to check my bags to prove that I wasn't a thief. I think she wanted to humiliate me because of the color of my skin. I've been in that store five (5) times and I've seen her (and others) watching me, and today she decided to approach me and accuse me of stealing. My routine was the same as it was the four (4) times I was there before, putting my grocery bags into my two (2) tote bags and either returning the grocery cart inside the store or outside the store where grocery carts are returned. I left the store.

We also take advantage of the "deli" for pretty decent Chinese food and some dim sum items. So today we arrived at around 8:20 had a wealth of close parking spots to choose from . We typically don't buy a lot of frozen prepared foods when we shop, but 168 has such a good supply of dumplings and the like we couldn't avoid buying a bunch. We bought the typical veggies, produce and the like. Hit up the dried noodle section as well as restocking our sauces and seasonings. We also hit up the bakery and got two loaves of their "special" bread. One loaf was their "side sliced" which means that they sell just the thin edge pieces all together in a loaf size package. So maybe not for everyone, but it makes great toast, thin and crunchy. Since we hadn't eaten a big breakfast, we took a number and ordered a combo meal, some congee and 4-5 dim sum items. Quick service, reasonable price and we actually had a pretty good brunchish meal. Authentic Cantonese and Mandarin with a touch of Szechuan ... not world class but good selection and certainly several steps above the typical fast Chinese food found at the panda places. (Didn't take pictures as we were too busy eating. By the way, the dining area was spotless. So all in all, filled up our shopping cart, had breakfast and out the door in an hour.

******HIDDEN GEM***for CHEESE and Sandwiches*********…read more Cured & Whey is a small, not fancy, deli place with WINES and specialty items. But the main dig here is the cheese. If you do or have done wine tasting in California it's very much that same kind of feel here. This place is located in an industrial Park that is a short distance from Mandalay Bay. We knew that we wanted to try some of the cheeses. They also offer soup, salad, and a menu of sandwiches. Today they also offered two special sandwiches. We ordered the two special sandwiches (Tuna Melt & Mortadella) and a cheese board with added Truffle Cheese. We knew it would be too much food so we had 1/2 of the sandwiches wrapped to go. (and latter brought home a lot of the cheese board). I tried the Tuna Melt Special. It was served on very good toasted sour dough bread. The tuna was different and was made by Hobbs. It seemed more like fresh tuna than over baked canned tuna. It was embellished nicely with fire roasted tomatoes, pepperoncini, and provolone. I liked that it wasn't drippy or messy. But I do have to say that this isn't a traditional tuna melt because the cheese was part of the tuna salad. Still it was good so I can't complain. My husband enjoyed the Mortadella Special. He said that the mortadella was a higher quality than what most places sell. We tred a variety of cheese on our cheese board. The board was adorned with bread, figs, and corn nuts. What stood out were THE CHEESES. They all had a special creaminess to them and they all had flavors to them that surpass any cheeses that you can buy at your local market. The people there were friendly and helpful. Someone who was either an owner or manager asked us how everything was. Nice little extra casual Gem near to the Strip for Cheese, a Sandwich and maybe some wine.
