For an Asian supermarket, I was surprised by the limited selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The produce also appeared to be of questionable quality, so we decided not to purchase any. The dairy selection was equally disappointing. I specifically went in looking for an unsweetened milk option, but none of the major brands they carried had one available. Pricing was another letdown. A 24-pack of Nestlé water was priced at $8.99, while we purchased a 28-pack at Smith's for $4.99. There also doesn't appear to be a rewards or loyalty program, making the higher prices even harder to justify. The store layout was confusing and disorganized. It felt more like a swap meet than a grocery store, with missing or limited aisle signage that made it difficult to find what we were looking for. Finally, there was a small shop near the front of the store where an older employee was loudly talking with another employee, repeatedly using profanity throughout the conversation. I understood what they were saying, and part of the conversation involved making negative remarks about "foreigners". Whether it was intended as a joke or not, it was uncomfortable to hear while shopping and came across as very unprofessional, making the store feel far less welcoming. My wife also really liked the other businesses in the supermarket and the clothing stores. I think my wife enjoyed those businesses even more, lol. She ended up buying a few scarves. Ambiance - See above. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Self service. Price - $10.28, expensive but worth it for my wife so she can get her fruit. I went to SF Supermarket (Las Vegas Superstore) at 4801 Spring Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV 89102 Thursday, March 26, 2026 at a little after 9:00 in the morning. I pulled a grocery cart at the entrance of the store and headed for the produce. I chose my fruit then went to the meat section and didn't see anything I wanted. I continued to walk around the fish/seafood section and looked down some of the aisles. I found some items down a couple of the aisles, then I went back to the produce section to pick up more fruit. After that, I went to the checkout line, paid for my groceries, then put my bags of groceries into my grocery cart. I pushed my grocery cart to the area where the grocery carts are returned inside the store and put my groceries that I had just paid for into my two (2) large tote bags that I brought with me to the store. I don't drive and the store is conveniently located near my apartment complex, so I can walk to and from the SF Supermarket. My tote bags that I brought with me make carrying my groceries easier while walking. By the way, my two (2) tote bags stayed on my shoulder the entire time I was shopping until it was time to put my groceries in my tote bags. As I turned to walk towards the exit of the store to leave, an older Asian woman (I didn't get her name) surprised me because she was frantically talking to me and pointing to my tote bags. I couldn't understand what she was saying, but her actions indicated that she wanted to look in my bags. She wanted me to go to the counter at the front of the store to check my bags. I arrived at that conclusion because she continued to point to the counter at the front of the store and continued to point/look at my bags. While still at the grocery cart return area, I opened my two (2) bags and held them towards her so that she could look in them, but she walked away. I walked towards the front entrance while asking her again if she wanted to look in my bags, but again she kept walking. I asked her two more times if she wanted to check my bags and my receipt. She then turned right and walked between the checkout counters towards the back of the store. I believed she continued to walk away because she realized I hadn't stolen anything. What thief is going to open up their bags for review if they stole something. Or maybe she already knew I hadn't stolen anything, she just wanted to make my experience at the store a horrible experience so that I wouldn't return to the store. I wanted her to check my bags to prove that I wasn't a thief. I think she wanted to humiliate me because of the color of my skin. I've been in that store five (5) times and I've seen her (and others) watching me, and today she decided to approach me and accuse me of stealing. My routine was the same as it was the four (4) times I was there before, putting my grocery bags into my two (2) tote bags and either returning the grocery cart inside the store or outside the store where grocery carts are returned. My roommate said that her patient had given her "California Sausage", also known in Chinese as "lup cheong". The label says it's from Santa Ana, California. We couldn't find it here, but saw a lot of other merchandise! I really liked the decor - the festive red lanterns and the five lucky lions hanging from the ceiling! I also liked the variety of goods... my roommate bought a glass teapot for about $13! This Supermarket was clean, well-lit, and had spacious aisles. They have live seafood that they will clean and cook for you! I also was tempted by the lucky red Year of the Snake envelopes... and fortune cookies from Sacramento! On the On the positive side the SF Supermarket on 2575 S Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas, NV 89104 has excellent lighting, is very clean and was well stocked the day of our visit (02/23/2026) but we will not be returning. Despite the positive aspects of this location we found the customer service to be lacking and the lack of activity in the parking lot should have been a sign of things to come once we were inside. I addition to the poor customer service we were overcharged on two items we caught and had to bring to their attention and get refunds and they acted like it was our problem we caught the overpricing error. While they had an excellent price on beer they could not sell it because "no one here has a ABC licenses"? Rather than have a sign indicating no alcohol purchases on the beer that day (02/23/2026), we were informed that they could not sell it because "no one here has a ABC licenses, which is a mystery given the establishment secures the licenses and not the staff. Nonetheless, there are a number of options for Asian markets in the area and while this one is convenient, convenience can't overcome poor customer service, being overcharged and their inability to sell their advertised products. read more

I went shopping today and approached a woman who looked to be about 60 or 70 years old; she was in the alcohol section, I think she's the manager or something. I wanted to ask her about an item, so I waited for her to finish talking to one of her employees. Suddenly, another cashier came over to ask her something, and she said in Spanish, "Everyone comes over to bother me." I understood that perfectly because Spanish is my native language. When it was finally my turn to speak, I said, "Excuse me, do you have whiskey for mixing Matcha?" but she just walked right past me and completely ignored me. I felt terrible because I had patiently waited for her to finish talking to her staff, and I find it disrespectful for her to treat customers that way. read more

I really should've posted this long ago since I've been shopping here for years. This is my favorite place to shop for Asian food and ingredients because they have more options than other markets. The prices are reasonable. They even have sales sometime. More produce than usual, vegetables from choy sum, Chinese broccoli, Ube, taro among others. I'm always on the look out for tropical fruits, cherimoya, green mango, rambutan, fresh coconuts... depending on the season but this is my go to for sure What's for dinner? Fried fish? Dungeness crabs? Lobster? This is the place to get them fresh!! They will even clean, chop and fry up your fish for you!! Yummm I will be shopping here for years to come! I've been here many, many times over the years. May as well give all of you a little update. based on my experiences here lately. - They are rearranging a significant portion of the store. It is very messy in some portions of the store at the moment, including shelving and pallets, and assorted whatnot all over the place in random places. It's a hot mess right now, but I'm sure it will be much better when it's all done. They added a lot of refrigeration units along the left side wall where the large rice bags used to be. Looks like business is good! lol - there are still a lot of homeless people panhandling in the parking lot and in front of the store. This has been an issue here for many years now. - Our cashier today was very nice and friendly, which hasn't always been my experience here. They do have a TON of items all under one roof here. Racism Hate Crime 12-22-2025 Time5:15pm Deeply disappointed by the disrespectful treatment after 15 years. I have been a loyal customer of SF Market for 15 years. I have always tried to treat the staff with respect, often bringing gifts or leaving tips to show my appreciation for their hard work. Today, however, my heart was broken. At around 5:15 PM on Dec 22, 2025, I purchased a belt fish. While the staff (two Mexican employees at the fish counter) were preparing my order, I noticed them whispering and glancing at me. When I received my package, the label did not say "Belt Fish." It said "The idiots fish." What hurts the most is that I had just given them a $7 tip as a small Christmas gesture, even though the fish itself was only $8. They took my kindness and my tip with one hand, while labeling me and my underage daughter as "idiots" with the other. When I brought this to the store's attention, the manager was unavailable, and another staff member dismissed it as if it were a joke, saying other customers get this label too. Calling a customer an "idiot" is never a joke; it is a passive-aggressive insult and a form of harassment. I have always respected the workers here, but today I realized that my respect was not mutual. It is deeply saddening to see a place I've supported for over a decade treat a mother and child this way. I hope the management takes this seriously. Don't try to make excuses by saying it was a printing error. I know how to print these labels myself; I am very familiar with this machine. We were in SF Supermarket yesterday, I only wanted to buy the beef tendons and some herbs that's only sold there. When we asked the old thin guy working in that department, I asked for 6 pcs of beef tendons. I asked him to cut it for us. He didn't do it and gave us the tendons uncut. This is a good market to find any type of asian specialty grocery items. It is very similar to the popular Ranch 99 stores. They have fresh produce, seafood, meats and a bakery department. I feel that I owe them a review. 5 stars for all the ingredients they have for Vietnamese, Chinese foods.Reasonable prices and decent cleanliness compared to other Asian markets around. Been here for the first time. I heard they had roast duck and they sure did. It was sooo good. They had other food there that looked so good. I need to go back and try them. This place has all your Asian groceries needs. They have most everything from veggies, product, cans food, dry food, and meat. I would avoid getting any American type of groceries here. For the American stuff, they are VERY expensive. For example, things like Pine Apple, Cooking oil, celery, vinegar, America chips and snacks, soda, baking flour etc.... are overpriced to the sky. This is the second SF I visited today because I didn't find what I was looking for at their other location. This place is by Shabuya. It's also much bigger and have several vendors when you walk in. They have a Chinese shop selling traditional medicines & dry herbs. Then they have a crack seed place, restaurants and along the way to the food places they have jewelry like jade bracelets, necklaces and decorations for sale. Very interesting. I found what I was looking for. The dried plums. However its not like the crack seed stores back home in Hawaii! Its disappointing. But it is what it is. A year ago they sell expired canned products. Today their cashier threw used gum on a new plastic bag for customer then she took the gum out to chew again. This Vietnamese supermarket is my favorite spot in town to find unique mushrooms! I love the king oyster and enoki mushrooms that chain grocery stores don't carry. Along with all of the other "unique" to Las Vegas produce, I love the huge selection of noodles! There is a section for instant noodles as well as another aisle for other noodles. As a vegan, there are plenty of plant based meat alternatives, vegan dumplings, etc, and tofu/soy products in the fridge and freezer sections. They also carry loads of different sauces, pastes, vinegars, and easy seasoning packets for all different Asian cuisines. There are many times I walk in and notice a fermented, foul smell but I take that in stride with the copious amounts of produce they have in the front portion of the store. I bet it comes with the territory. I can't speak on the meat and seafood since I don't shop those sections. For the most part, this is a really well organized grocery store and it is easy to see which products are available and how much each cost. The checkout area makes it easy to put your stuff on the belt while someone else is checking out. read more
