On my last trip for a few groceries, I also stopped by their hot deli for a quick and simple meal since I just happen to be there just after 4pm when they discount their hot deli items. Stopped in after dim sum down the street. Braved the demolition derby in the parking lot. We had a costcoesque experience (you know where you run into Costco for a rotisserie chicken and come out with an overflowing cart and a $500.00) charge. ). Being Sunday the place was jam packed, but the shelves and bins were full. The bakery smelled amazing but we passed today as we did for the restaurant which had a line of folks waiting to purchase. (Another reason to go early) . Got all the sauces and spices and noodles we needed plus a ton of veggies and some pretty good frozen dumplings and the like. I have not been to this Asian supermarket in a long time and I don't think I even gave this a review. I don't really need anything in particular but just because I'm in the area might as well look around. There is just a certain smell upon entering through the doors. Typical asian. IYKYK. Or is it because 168 has a food court to the tight of the entrance? Staff were helpful and quick to serve despite me just being nosy as to what the offerings are. They do have dim sum aside from the typical Chinese fare of roasted pork/duck, bbq pork, noodles, fried rice, orange chicken, eggplant in garlic sauce, beef & broccoli, congee etc. Their produce seems fresh especially the fruits and green leafy vegetables. All kinds of asian condiments from different countries like Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Korea and of course China. Meats look fresh. From pork, beef and chicken as well as seafoods. Frozen items range from prepared foods like dumplings, baos, soups, siomai, sausages, On the dry goods aisles there are all kinds of spices, different kinds of dry noodles, instant ramen, chili oil, candies etc. Lots of interesting items even for me being Asian. Shopping in Las Vegas, Nevada... My roommate had mentioned that she received a gift of "Chinese Sausage", made in Santa Ana, California that was purchased in Las Vegas. She didn't know what store the sausage was from, so we looked at 99 Ranch and SF Supermarket. Not there... We were passing by 168 Market, which I was familiar with because I had shopped at a location in Los Angeles. We had time, so I pulled into the free parking lot, parked easily, and entered the clean, large, air-conditioned store. The Sausage was in the refrigerated section near the front! Wow! That was easy! There were two versions of the lup cheong... spicy and original. Let's try it! We browsed around the store and appreciated the fresh produce, bakery department, variety of meats, the fish cleaning and cooking service, and more! I liked the lucky red Year of the Snake envelopes! I like coming to this grocery store, but I haven't got a chance to try there restaurant that's inside. Good thing I gave it them a shot cause I did saw them on TikTok now it's like my favorite place to go after work. Totally recommended. The food was delicious and very flavorful. I saw another post on here that they purchased a portable gas grill at 168 Market so I had to get one for myself. And the grill was on SALE!! My lovely family was in town so I wanted to do a springroll party. Pre-packaged sliced meats, chicken thigh, fresh veggies, frozen shrimp etc. The store was clean, large selections of meats and produce. One stop shop for all your needs. Highly recommend. We were looking for a couple of Asian sauces. We stopped in here, and all I could say is... Wow. this is a full-service supermarket with literally hundreds of Asian sauces. We ended up buying just a couple of items, however walking through the market I was really impressed. I wish we had something like this in Reno. So many fully stocked departments. The seafood department had tons of live fish,crustaceans, clams. Also every manner of fresh and frozen fish and seafood. The meat department had every kind of meat you can imagine. Also there was a freezer section that had thinly sliced meats from every type of animal for your hot pot or Korean barbecue style dinners. The produce section was packed with so many different types of imported fruits and vegetables. They have a full bakery with tons of Asian baked goods. They had some dim sum sections. They also have a full-service café with lots of pre-cooked items. They had half duck, whole duck, barbecue pork ribs, combination foods. Just so many different items. Finally, when we were checking out, I saw the little alcohol area and was very shocked to see Silver Oak Cabernet. Both Alexander Valley, and Napa Valley Silveroak. And different years of silver oak Cabernet. Definitely shocking to see this but very nice surprise. Anna was our checker. I speak a little Spanish and she was extremely friendly. I wanted to get some exotic fruits and bakery. So we decided to stop by this market. It seems like a lot of the local people shop here. This place has a bakery section and a fast hot food section that comprise of noodles, rice , meat entrees, a whole duck , and some dim sum food. The dim sum food they have included hargow, shumai, etc. We got two entree option for hot food and some dimsum. The food in the food court is filling and decent price. The quality is not like dimsum food you get at a sit down dimsum place. The pastry we got was taro fill bread, milk fill bread and egg tarts. They offered a special price for egg tart currently.The egg tart was great price if brought in 6, which we did. If they do not have that option, the egg tart is more expensive than two door down from them. read more

I always find what I need, and probably 3 varieties of it. I think price is overall a bit cheaper. Staff does their job and doesn't need to be overly friendly, they're hustling around. Maneuvering can get a little tight, but it's manageable. I always spend way more than I had planned because I fund stuff I can't refuse. read more

This is by far one of the nicest & cleanest Asian grocery stores I've been to. This store is more of a Korean grocery store but they carry all types of Asian products! The prices are very reasonable and the meats here are perfect for making your own Korean bbq at home! They even have a bakery with great breads & deserts and a hot foods section where they sell roast duck, dim sum and other Chinese dishes. I love the convenience of this store! Take advantage of the sales they have, they post new items for sale every week. I got a large bag of frozen shrimp for $8.99! I occasionally visited 168 Market for basic Asian groceries, as they have a decent selection but I won't be returning often since other Asian supermarkets nearby offer the same items. AVOID their Roasted BBQ Duck and Char Siu from the deli area. Even though we were recommended to not go here, we wanted to try it anyway. We ordered a whole duck for $33.99, and it was the worst I've ever had: dry, old, with packet dipping sauce. We ended up throwing the whole tray away. The char siu was also overcooked and disappointing. There are much better options around Chinatown and the valley, stay away from the deli here. read more

I am not here often, but I did have to stop by this morning to get some hot pot ingredients (it's soup season!). I had friends recommend I come here to get what I needed, so it was easy to shop armed with a list. Otherwise, it's fun to just wander the aisles and see what you can see; this is when I wish I could read the labels in English since so many things look interesting and like something I would buy if I knew more about an item. The store is jam-packed and it gets very narrow in some spots if there is more than one person in an aisle. The produce section has a great selection and this is where I bought enoki mushrooms, bok choy, and Napa cabbage for my soup today. Been shopping at this market for many years and each year the 'integrity' has lessened .. the store is dirty, always too uncomfortably cold and the products, particularly in the fish market, are becoming less appealing, especially when the workers DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH! Seven of these workers behind the counter and one spoke English and he was with another customer. It's quite frustrating to ask for an item and the employee looks back at you with an empty stare. I asked about a package of hamachi Kama, and the employee, a giant of a man seemingly with no ENGLISH speaking skills, weighed the package and put the price sticker on the package .. handing it back to him, I asked to have it put in a plastic bag .. he asks, 'do you want it in a bag?' Really?? The management and/or owner of 168 ... YOU NEED TO DO BETTER!! I didn't know where I'd be able to find Asian vegetables, exotic fruits like mangosteen and durian, thinly sliced meats and even sashimi in the first 4 years I've lived in Vegas. Until now! I'm so glad I decided to check 168 out. Drove by it so many times on my way home from school and finally ventured inside. I was not disappointed. Found everything I was looking for and more. There's a really great selection of stuff here. The Henderson area doesn't have anything like this so I do hope the parent company (99 ranch) opens something down here soon. Ambiance is more spacious than 99 ranch in Chinatown. The place is lively and very happening when I went on a Thursday afternoon around 2. Run, don't walk!! The deli located in 168 market is such a hidden gem! For $11.99 you get your choice of three of MANY entrees and a side of either noodles or rice. There must've been at least 10 entrees to choose from and they all looked appetizing. The garlic shrimp was flavorful and the shrimp were huge! The orange chicken had so much flavor and went perfect with the noodles. The portion sizes are huge and the combo could definitely feed 2-3 people. This is our main grocery store in Vegas. Cashiers are friendly. They usually have the majority of the Chinese or Taiwanese foods we are looking for at a decent price. This makes it an easy choice. We usually try to come during the weekdays preferably before the evenings to get the best pick when it comes to fresh fish, meat variety, and some produce. For Chinese New Year, it's best to buy fresh fish one day in advance if you're looking for fresh fish for New Year's Eve. I came on Lunar Eve and the only thing they had left was white fish. Even their Pomelos weren't that great. They have a variety of meats such as organ meats, brown chicken, chicken breast, feet, beef, lamb, seafood, fresh crab, fish, and much more. Great place to shop for Shabu Shabu. We come here to buy basic items. SF Supermarket for produce but not meats. Greenland for Korean specialty items. A bag of rice would be $10 less at 168 compared to Greenland. Save yourselves some money. Pro Tip: Sign up for their membership and you can discount on your groceries when you accumulate x amount of dollars. I've gotten $20 bucks off here and there. read more

There's a bakery and other restaurants in the area too. Produce looks organized and hardworking staff is efficient. There's also a food court that serves hot foods, bbq meats, and dim sum items, but I must say that it's cheaper to eat at a dim sum restaurant than to buy items over the counter here. Very expensive for dim sum here! Not cheap for sure. Crowds in the food court is normal, but they need to sanitize and throw trash out during busy hours. Tables and chairs were sticky. What I disliked was the bakery at the food court area. Everything was great looking and supposed to be delicious. They sell hot cold beverages too. Great prices. Yes, they might have $1-$2 coffee/milk tea deals with purchases, but the single sliced cakes were not fresh at all. We had to return two coffee mocha tiramisu cakes which had green mold inside them and the cake texture was hard. We went from happiness to sadness and disappointment. Lady refunded us. She was fairly new and worked very slowly. It was a horrible experience that day. Credit cards accepted. I don't remember this place being this bad, compared to coming here 5+ years ago. They may have changed staffing due to pandemic. Overall, it's still a great spot for groceries. I hope they work the food court area with more care next time. They have fresh vegetables, fruits, and all sorts of fun Chinese bread desserts to choose from. They have a Cafe where you can get cakes (whole or slices), coffee, teas, and even boba drinks! They have several aisles where you can get Chinese silverware, and pots, pans, knives, all sorts of useful kitchen gadgetry. They got a seafood department and a butcher's block. They'll clean and fry the fish here for you. BUT I really think the secret to this place is the Hot Deli section here. The value of the price you pay to the food you get is awesome! They do combo plates here or you can buy the deli selection ala carte. 1 entree is $6.99. 2 entrees is $8.99. 3 entrees is $9.99. They provide hot soup with their combos too.
