I had a craving for Hamachi Kama really bad tonight. I was so happy to see that On Demand Sushi had it on their menu. They were close by and I was already fond of them. I actually didn't have an appetite from not feeling well except for my fave. When the delivery came I was so happy just to get it any Kama. I was astonished to see how big the order was. It was only $11.95 which is about the average price for the dish except this dish was about double the average portion. I have found my sushi place. Just 10 minutes from home is On Demand Sushi. I ordered two rolls online. They are having a 2 for $20 offer. I ordered the 007 roll and the Knight Hawk roll. I ordred through Door Dash for pickup instead of delivery. When you go to the counter, you show your receipt so the right person is picking up an order. I was first impressed with the packaging. The rolls were in a plastic container with a snap tight lid. Then, it's sealed further by plastic wrap around everything inclouding a napkin, and soy sauce packets. Inside the roll box was a small container with pickled ginger and wasabi. Perfect to carry out and bring home. The 007 roll is a California roll covered in shrimp, yum yum drizzle and sesame seed. The real crab flavors came right through. My second roll was the Knight Hawk roll. It's a roll with crab, cream cheese, shrimp tempura and eel deep fried with eel sauce. It's the first time I have gotten a fried roll and it was very good and different which made it even better. For $20, the price is right. I know that's half of an AYCE sushi place, but this helps me not stuff myself just to get my AYCE money's worth. I now have a sushi place and I will be there when my sushi fever hits which is often. There are two other locations around the valley so it's easy to order from them. If you want to eat in, there are a few tables in the restaurant and there are a few on a patio outside the front door. Take home or eat at On Demand, you'll be enjoying fresh sushi at a reasonable price and with an extensive menu. read more

Does no one have standards when it comes to sushi? This is one of the worst places I have ever been to. Sushi is not fresh, not good quality, and the rolls are just covered in sauce, which is obviously to conceal the horrendous taste. Highly do not recommend and will never be back. read more

On Demand is a great take out option but not so practical for dining in. This location is very small with only a few tables and the way the building is facing it gets super hot with the sun shining in. That said, for taking out their sushi boats are a great option. They're cute, practical and awesome for group gatherings. They have a good amount of options for rolls and appetizers. My favorites were the avocado bomb, On Demand roll, GG Special roll and Orange Blossom roll. read more

We ordered sushi rolls and the kid's furikake chicken to-go. The chicken was beyond burnt and extremely dry, looking nothing like the photos online. The rice was also old and crusty. I don't have enough great things to say about this place! Carey the owner led the build your sushi class. This past Saturday they had a 2-hr build your sushi for $50. We had so much fun! They taught us how to make a roll and then cut us loose. All the fish was delicious and fresh, rice made fresh daily. Carey does an impressive job with his staff on attention to detail Side bar: in his crab mix there is 20% real crab and uses light mayo. I love this don't know any restaurants that do this. Great food, great experience. We ordered a 60" sushi boat for a grad party. Raymond was very helpful in getting the order set up and the delivery arranged. One of the chef's delivered it to our home on the opposite side of the valley for a reasonable fee. It was so beautiful, the chef even adjusted a few pieces around that slightly shifted during the delivery to make the presentation perfect! Once delivered, I thought it might be too much sushi for the small crowd I had, but it was so delicious, we didn't really have any leftovers. Highly recommend and will order again. read more

This place is more of a grab and go sushi place, but they do have seating available, although it's limited. If I'm craving sushi and just want to grab some on the way home, this is my go to spot. I've dined here a couple of times. I've ordered both through Uber Eats and their website, and they're pretty fast and consistent. Ordering through their website is not the most user friendly when you're in a hurry, but I've managed. They always have deals going on. Last deal was 2 premium sushi rolls for $20. All sushi comes with wasabi and soy sauce, but you can get extra sauce like ponzu for a few cents more. My go to sushi rolls are the Kelly Crunch, Knight Time, and Something Wrong 69. They all taste great with or without soy sauce or ponzu, but I still like to dip everything in ponzu. Great neighborhood to go sushi spot. read more

We ordered takeout today. My spouse and I both ordered the salmon bowl with teriyaki with the rice, gyoza, and salad included. It was decent and we both enjoyed it. For the price, it is a very good deal. It's only $15 a bowl. 8/10. I also ordered the two for $15 regular rolls, so I ordered an Alaska roll and I also ordered a yellowtail with scallion roll. The Alaskan roll was ordered without cream cheese and without sauce, and when we go to an all you can eat sushi nearby, the Alaskan roll is salmon and avocado, and it is absolutely delicious. This one felt very flat for me as it was smoked salmon and it was too strong with the avocado, so just overpowering in a really bad way, and I would never consider ordering this again. 2/10. The yellowtail and scallion roll was just OK, and the yellowtail tasted just slightly fishy, so just 5 out of 10. I would not order this again either. My daughter ordered the Lisa Lisa roll and the Philly roll and she thought both were decent, and she rated both 6 out of 10. My son ordered the California roll and we ordered it without the Yum Yum sauce, and he would rate it about a 6 out of 10, and he said the Yum Yum sauce would've likely ruined it for him so I'm glad I ordered it without the sauce. Despite these just OK ratings to poor ratings, the reason that I give it four stars is because the prices are really good. Two regular/basic roles for just $15 is a really good deal, but if I were to compare this to It's sushi, an all you can eat place, then this place falls extremely flat and short compared to them. The sushi just didn't come anywhere near the caliber that I would expect compared to those places. Still, with these prices, it's still a very good deal and that's why it gets four stars and not less. Overall, the experience was 6 out of 10, and we would probably order from here if we were desperate, but the reality is that I will likely not be ordering from here again. I gave this place five stars in the past when we've been here, but the experience today was not nearly as good. The prices are what save it. Service is friendly and when we've eaten here, it's small, but it's relaxed, yet still our experience today was really disappointing so still four stars because it's still decent for the price, and that's what I'm consistently comparing it to, but if it wasn't for the prices, this place would get probably two or three stars at the most today. read more

I've been twice only but have mixed reviews because the rice was a little dry the 2nd time. Other than that, the fish quality is great for a to-go focused spot. I really like this place and I would love to eat here more but for two reasons. 1. They make you buy Nigiri four pieces at a time. Time for an update. I've been going to On Demand less & less frequently due to my experiences & I'm to the point where I've all but given up on this place. From time to time, they forget a roll or side or get it wrong (I ask for no yum yum always) & that is understandable, but what's unacceptable is the recent responses from the cashier (clean shaven shorter dude with black hair with glasses). He is flat out disrespectful by being seemingly annoyed or giving me the silent treatment with having to correct these issues (probably because they're his fault for incorrectly taking the order) & his attitude is what is the problem. Always go to On Demand Sushi if we need to get sushi catered. I've never experienced eating inside, but have always appreciated the service ordering to go or delivery. Love how they have a variety of different sized trays OR You can even get a sushi boat! I ordered a sushi boat for my son's birthday. Presentation was on point & everyone at the party enjoyed it! It was all gone within 20 min. Fish was good quality - great nigiri & good flavored rolls. They provide soy sauce packets + soy sauce bottles (not regular & low sodium), ginger, wasabi, & plenty of chopsticks! On their site, you have a choice to have the boat delivered to you or you can pick it up from their store. You can also choose to have them pick the boat up once you're done using it. Delivery & picking up the boat does cost extra. I will say... I was annoyed that anytime I spoke to someone, they told be to pick up the sushi boat or drop it off to their store. I needed to explain multiple times that I paid extra to have it delivered & picked up to & from the venue. Also, once they were on the way to drop it off, the address listed was not the one I had given when I booked online. Thank goodness the driver communicated with me & we settled everything out in the end. Anytime other time I've ordered party trays, I've had someone pick it up. I had my bf pick up our UberEat order, 5 dishes in total but our jalapeño bomb was missing ($7). I called and let them know that it wasn't in my bag. The person on the phone said "oh I didn't know how to cancel this. We don't have that order, we out of that order." And I asked him, oh sold out? He said yes, long pause...then he said that the chef put the jalapeño bomb in my bag and even told my boyfriend. So I asked my boyfriend and he said they asked for the name and handed him the bag, that was it. Then back to arguing, I told him that I don't have it, I have everything but that, but they kept fighting me over the phone that they did pack up the jalapeño. It was a long unnecessary arguing of who was right or wrong. So first, the guy on the phone told me that they were sold out of it? Then tells me that the chef put it in the bag and told my bf when he picked it up? Why are they lying after lying? And accusing me of lying? Why are we even arguing over a $7 dish over the phone? If the service was great, they could've said "Our apologies, our mistake. We can refund you one or make you a new one" I'm not fighting over a $20 roll but a small order of $7. I've always ordered sushi from here, it's my local sushi spot that I go to, but this poor service made my eating experience frustrating and unpleasant. As a result, I felt disrespected as a customer. WARNING to nigiri and appetizer lovers! They added a limit of 5 TOTAL ITEMS for ALL of the nigiris AND 90% of the appetizers, on the AYCE menu... So for example, you order 3 nigiri items and 2 of the limited appetizers, your only option left is ordering rolls. Maybe not an issue if you love rolls and don't care much for nigiri or apps, but limiting to 5 total combined of those items is a super weak policy. No other AYCE spot in town limits these times to this extent and 5 items is way too few from two combined menu sections. They allow you to order additional of limited items at a "discounted" price but said discounted price is still way too steep for an AYCE menu IMO (menu photos attached to review). @Carey - Alright man, I updated it to be a little less scathing since I can see you're a local small biz trying your best. I know fish is expensive but there's gotta be a middle ground between price, quality, and restricting the whole entire app + nigiri section to 5 total pieces. Maybe just limit the most expensive fish? Or drop the most expensive fish from the AYCE menu? Or create A/B/C AYCE menus with various pricing tiers? Wishing you the best. read more

Found out that (probably the owner?) is a GOONIES fan so, that's definitely a plus! Ordered online for pickup. It said the food would be ready for pickup in 45-60mins but I got there in 25 and it was already waiting for me. I'm glad I didn't wait an hour because the fish would not be to my expectations by then. These are the two items I ordered. On Demand Sushi: Portion is big, the salmon is delicious. Overall, would order again and recommend. Poke Nacho: There's only one place I order from, but they're temporarily closed right now, so I gave it a try here. Not my thing. The chips are a bit thick and filling and I didn't like the cilantro on it. I understand it's a 'nacho' but I thought it was Hawaiian style nacho, my bad. The poke was good though. I ended up just eating that with some rice i have from home. I like that we can order platters and it's so nice when I have get togethers and we don't have to drive out far to pick it up.
