Fast key cutting service, central: £5 and £7 for standard window and flat door keys vs £3-4 mentioned in an earlier review.

(2) They did not issue a ticket for the repair and then of course did not contact about how the repair was progressing. (3) I called and was told after two months: 'I havent done it' . (4) When I finally went to collect - George demanded a ticket, I explained he hadn't given me one for this job. He was aggressive and blamed me for not bringing a ticket I had never received after he had told me previously he would: 'text me which was better'. (5) He had told me the job was £20 when I got out my card to pay, he said aggresively " £20 was cash only - with a card it is £30". ( A £10 surcharge to pay with a card)? He then told me I had a bad attitude and to get out of his shop. I was stunned and just wanted to get my boots back. I went and found a friend who worked down the road to accompany me to the shop after I had visited an ATM and got cash. I did not feel safe going back on my own. All in all this was unnecessary and quite crazy. I don't think George shoe repairs is worth the bullying and abuse - however good their work is -nothing is worth being abused. His attitude is a load of cobblers!

I did a search of shoe repairs with favorable reviews near my hotel, and I was able to run over to George's 15 minutes before they were closing. He was sympathetic to my plight and went to work on them right away. Him and his wife were pleasant to chat with, and he did an amazing job with my shoes. I couldn't be happier. Thank you!

The work was really well done and the staff friendly. The price is a little bit expensive but you can be sure about the quality of the service. I will come back for other shoes without hesitation.

On a previous visit they…read morechanged the heels on my shoes and even kindly popped them onto a stretcher for me, so when I returned to London and stayed nearby again, I specifically went back. On the Friday before the bank holiday weekend, I took in a pair of vintage heels that I love. The gentleman who served me that day was great. He changed the heel tips for £14 and everything was fine. Because it was a bank holiday weekend and I was teaching on Monday, I didn't return until Tuesday. The gentleman from Friday wasn't there and I was served by Mark. I explained that the shoes felt a little tight and asked whether they could be put on a stretcher overnight. Mark immediately told me it would cost £15. I was honestly shocked. I'd just paid £14 to have the heel tips changed, yet I was being charged more simply to leave the shoes on a stretcher. What made it even more frustrating was that this had previously been done for me as a courtesy. The price was one thing, but Mark's attitude throughout was abrupt, dismissive and rude. When I collected the shoes, there was absolutely no difference whatsoever. They are 100% leather shoes, yet they felt exactly the same as before. Not the slightest amount of stretching. I genuinely questioned whether they had spent any meaningful time on a stretcher at all. The collection experience was even worse. Mark told me he had thrown my receipt away. When I asked for it, he became visibly irritated, started throwing tools around and said things such as, "I'm not in the mood for this today," "I quit," and "You can just go." I was standing there with my 13-year-old daughter and found the whole interaction surreal and completely unprofessional. I returned to this branch because of the excellent service I'd received before. Unfortunately, this experience was the exact opposite. I called customer service afterwards to report what happened, and I will never return to this branch again.
