I found this place because of the great Yelp reviews. This is an awesome shop. Pierre is the most honest mechanic I've ever met. I went in thinking I needed a Smog Check after reading some incorrect information. He looked at my paperwork and said "I'm not going to take your money, you don't need a smog check" and then proceeded to show me that my paperwork didn't require it. Then I noticed he has a full service shop connected to Quality Smog. I can't find it on yelp, but everyone should know. Same address, P & H automotive. Out of curiosity, I asked him to quote changing the belt on my car. The guy I usually go to, quoted me a price I was hesitant to pay and I was putting off changing my belt because of it. Without knowing I had previously quoted someone else, Pierre quoted me $120 LESS. Next day I had my belt changed by Jesus, also a really great guy. Real honest, friendly, and gets the job done. I will be back next week for an oil change and I will keep returning here for all my auto needs. I saw a few bad reviews on here. One specifically stated that these Yelp reviews must've been purchased. I can truthfully say, I am a real customer and this place is great. read more

The best smog shop in the Valley. I have been doing business with Pierre for the last 8 years with all my cars. Recently my daughter needed to get her car tested. I always took her car to Pierre in the past but I decided to let her take care of it herself this time. She took it to a shop she found nearby. The shop failed her and told her she needed repairs. I contacted a mechanic friend of mine who did a diagnosis test and said he found nothing wrong and that my daughter was being scammed. I took the car to Pierre to be retested and the car passed. This is the only place I will recommend to my friends and family! Pierre is a great and honest guy and probably the only car technician/mechanic that is not out to get your money! After another cruel mechanic had me spending hundreds of dollars for my check engine light being on and NEVER being able to fix it I took my car to Pierre at Quality smog test. He was able to tell me exactly what was wrong with my car (which by the way was just a simple censor that was completely dead) and he was able to fix it within 30 minutes! After running my car a while the check engine light was completely gone and I was finally able to submit my smog test to the dmv!
