She answered "I'm sure it's ok" to which I responded I was looking for more than OK. We decided to go ahead and buy it (you know, buy local and all that) so she went to get the paperwork and came back saying they are boxing it up. Huh? I said to my husband, does that mean it's the floor model? So he asked her and she said yes. I said I don't want a floor model. She said they had one in the warehouse but there was no one there today. Never bothered to inform us of this before she was asked. I said, no thanks, thank you for your time. She watched us walk out the door and said NOTHING. I called the next day to talk to a manager. She said the sales person was fairly new not that it was an excuse. Due to supply chain problems across the appliance industry induction stoves delivery times were undefined so we decided to purchase a GE gas stove along with the other appliances. Although Zeglins couldn't commit to an availability date for the induction oven Zeglins indicated we could swap the gas stove for the induction stove when GE's induction stoves became available. I confirmed this with Zeglins by phone during the summer of 2023. To be sure, we expected additional cost for the induction model plus a depreciated trade value for our 9 month old gas stove - that's fair - we get it. I visited Zeglins yesterday for the "how much is this going to cost me" discussion to trade the gas for an induction stove. While there I was told our conversation never happened and the induction stove model we were interested in wasn't available in flat black - the color of our new refrigerator and dishwashe. At the time of initial purchase we were told it would be. We considered buying from Costco, Best Buy, Home Depot big box retailers but decided to go with Zeglins because they are local and provided our previous appliance set. We purchased the new set from Zeglins despite our experience trying to get service for our previous set of appliances purchased from them - they don't have in house service capability. That was news. Giving that "we're local" story a bad name. I'm done with them.

The Friday before, I realized my fridge had stopped cooling/freezing, so called them at 1pm. They said they were really booked but tried to troubleshoot with me over the phone. That didn't fix the problem, so Craig said he would have a couple service guys stop over within the next hour or two to see if they could get it going. They ended up fixing my fridge that afternoon despite their busy schedule. Wow, that is great service you don't see very often. I am, and will continue to be, a loyal customer of Home Appliance. My family purchased a fridge from here & while their delivery people were taking the fridge into our house they ripped the wiring for the lights on our freezer / freezer door. They left it and we later found the ripped off wiring in pieces and inside of the freezer. We have been without lights for a year now and they refuse to contact us back or make this right or they say they are "looking into it" and no communication happens past that. They refused to honor our 1 year warranty and keep pushing back communication (if there is any) so that it goes past the 1 year & they will no longer be held responsible. Joe, the owner is thee most disrespectful "business owner" if you want to call it that & refuses to take any sort of responsibility for his employees. Joe is also unprofessional when it comes to handling these sorts of situations & often resorts to calling you names. We wanted to support local businesses and unfortunately for Burns & Sons that will NEVER happen again & I will be sure to deter anyone & everyone far far away from here.
