The first time I spoke to Bill, we had been going through a very difficult time financially. Our house was upside down and other mortgage brokers told me they could not help me. In fact, the previous mortgage guy that I had used had helped me on a number of real estate transactions in the recent years took a brief look at my financial situation and basically wished me all the best. I was pretty much ready to walk away from our house. Not only was it upside down, but it was an interest only loan with a rate of 6.375%. At this point, we began to look for a rental house and started looking at short sale or walking away from our beautiful home. The realtor who was helping us look for rental houses recommended Bill Daniels. I told her I already spoke to my mortgage guy (who had closed several income property loans for me in years past) and he wouldn't steer me wrong. At least talk to Bill, she said. So I called Bill. It was the middle of the week and Bill started taking a look at my situation immediately. I sent him tax returns and he worked on it right away. Around 8:00 pm that same evening, Bill called me and asked for more details. We went back and forth that evening and it was pat 10 pm when Bill was giving me some encouraging news and advice.
