Called Quantum Thunder after seeing them referred with great kudos in a Facebook group, and they absolutely live up to their reputation. We had a burned out system of recessed lights and old-style transformers in my daughter's bathroom, and another electrician had quoted thousands. Quantum answered their phone immediately, set an appointment for the next day, and spent a good amount of time assessing the problem. Indeed, fixing the existing system would have been pricey and difficult, as the parts were well-outdated, and would take some hunting or cobbling together of old and new. But rather than try to convince us to do that, they suggested removing the old system entirely and replacing it with a more modern one. While that might have seemed the bigger job, it was actually the simplest thing to do -- and the least expensive. Instead of thousands, the whole job cost $450. The owner, Andrei, is friendly, accommodating, honest and knowledgeable. The other members of his team, whether in the office or on site working with him, were equally friendly, skilled, and easy to deal with. Communication was clear, they showed up exactly when they said they would, and the work is great. They will be my first call from now on, and I cannot recommend them enough. Hire them. I bought my first home about 6 years ago, and what a s***show it's been trying to find help for repairs. I've gotten quotes from other licensed professionals as high as $350 just to come out and take a look after I already sent photos and video. Obv, I'm still salty. Andrei and his team (shoutout to Igor and Alan) helped me with three projects: a blown breaker in my circuit box, a preventive adjustment to safeguard the circuit going forward, and a thoughtful repair to the structure on my roof that houses the municipal lines. The work looks better than anything else on this property, including recent work from other electricians in the area. Andrei and his team worked quickly, but still took the time to explain the situation and walk me through my options in a polite and professional way. They were also respectful about not coming into the house unless necessary. Everything seemed fairly priced. Two challenging things that I won't deduct stars for: payment was requested upfront which made me nervous, but they came through (whew), and one of the repairs took a little longer than expected and required an extra day of work. Minor concerns in the end, because ultimately I just want the job done well and to feel like I'm dealing with honest people who explain things clearly. We've been working with Andrei Den for several years now, and I can sum up his service in three words: professional, responsive, and respectful. Just two days ago, I discovered that one of our sunken floor outlets had overloaded several times (yikes!)--there were burn marks, a melted plug and casing, and the plug was stuck. When it started crackling, I immediately contacted Andrei. Despite it being the night before a holiday, he was at our place within two hours. Not only did he fix the outlet, but he also repaired one of our breakers and checked the entire main panel to make sure everything was safe. Over the years, Andrei has also replaced all five of our smoke/CO detectors, changed out several outlets and switches, and even restrung our outdoor cafe lights. He's always thorough and reliable, and we trust him completely with our electrical work. On top of that, Andrei has a tile specialist he works with who did an incredible job for us--replacing the tile on one of our fireplace hearths and expertly fixing and installing a new 4' stainless steel drain in our tiled shower. Andrei and his team did a great job in troubleshooting and identifying the source of stray voltage present on our plumbing pipes. They were able to isolate and installed a dedicated electrical circuit by running new wiring underneath the house through a crawl space. In addition Andrei also did water heater bonding on our water heater as mandated by local codes. I was really impressed with the services they provided and to top it off they charge less and reasonable compared to the estimate I got from other electrical service company. I requested service to have recessed lights installed in my house. We scheduled an appointment, and he showed up as planned. Initially, he quoted me $600 for the entire job. However, once he arrived at my house, he changed the quote to $1,200, claiming there was extra labor involved. I agreed and scheduled the work for a different day the following week which happened to be today. Well, today came and he didn't show up. No call, no text, no communication. Nothing. I absolutely do not recommend this guy to anyone for any kind of electrical work. This whole experience was a joke. Even when he was giving me the estimate, he had a smirk on his face like he thought what I was saying was funny, but I wasn't joking. I was simply asking him reasonable questions about the work I needed done. I honestly don't know how a company like this stays in business when they make appointments with customers and then completely fail to show up. After this happened, I checked some of his Yelp reviews, and sure enough, there are plenty of one-star reviews. And rather than responding professionally or offering a resolution like most reputable businesses would, he publicly responds to negative feedback in a rude, immature way almost like it's some high school message board where people argue back and forth. I'm sorry, Andrei (or whatever your name is), but that's not how you run a business. It's embarrassing. You should be ashamed of yourself. I'll just find someone else who actually wants the work. What's even more disappointing is that this guy came highly recommended through Yelp. I submitted a request on Yelp for electrical work, and within minutes, he was calling and texting me to set things up. At first, it seemed promising. But trust me: I really, really don't recommend this company or this guy for any work at your home or your business. Ever. Good luck with your horrible customer service and this one star review living on your Yelp and Google pages forever. And don't bother responding to my reviews because obviously you can't respond like an adult. And, anything you say is just lies cause you and your business is a joke. read more
