The shop is small, but there's a lot to see for the size. I saw a few minerals that I had not seen elsewhere. They have a lot of minerals, polished stones too, bit of jewelry, some carved stones, and more variety of fossils than similar stores I've been to. Prices were very good on some items, average on others. Service was perfectly fine - not much small talk, but I have to wonder if maybe staff changed because she was not rude at all to us or other customers/kids while we were there like other reviews mentioned. read more

Excellent selection at reasonable prices. Stores like this which focus on the actual mineralogy rather than the metaphysical elements of the samples are becoming a rarity. The lady behind the counter isn't rude, she is an introvert. There is a difference between the two. We have never had a bad experience with her and she has always been willing to help us with questions. read more

RUDE. CURT. UNHELPFUL Agree the store is nice and has good pricing HOWEVER the lady at the counter is rude. My son wanted to buy rocks like diamonds and she did not show him anything. She just kept telling him they do not have diamonds. We usually visit the store before Christmas to get an idea what he likes for Christmas, but this year we will not be spending money here and I will not come back in the future. read more

Driving in Milford, I came across this small rock, gem & fossil store. On a whim, I decided to take a look inside - and I'm glad that I did. While the store is small (just two rooms, perhaps 500 square feet) its walls are packed from floor to ceiling with shelves of mineral specimens, gems, non-precious stone jewelry, fossils, geodes, tumbled stones, and beads. Just outside and behind the store is a small trail with barrels full of more mineral and rock specimens, which one can purchase by the pound. Prices are reasonable, and there are plenty of $1 or $2 items available, which makes it great for parents who want to buy their kids a present or begin a rock collection. read more

Just moved to the area and I love crystals, gems, and rocks. Was so excited about finding the store. Went and the lady at the counter was anything but friendly or salesperson. Was ready to buy several items, but after seeing and feeling the energy and "helpfulness" I put everything back and left. First time in my life that I walk into a Crystal store and leave without buying anything. Big loss, I could have been a great customer. Need to find something else in the area. read more

I'm rating this so low because this is the second time I've been here and the woman at the counter was rude and nasty to myself and other customers with children. Drove an hour to get there, when we arrived the shopkeeper said "we're closed, your interrupting my lunch" then she pointed to her closed sign then shut the door on us. They Never put on the website that they close for an HOUR for lunch during there supposedly open hours. I have fallen in love with this cute shop. So many amazing rocks and the woman who runs it is so amazing. She has almost become a guide for us in many ways. My fiancé and I had a bad experience in a different shop and I was able to regain my faith by visiting this shop. We will forever go back even just to say "hello". read more

What a gem! I stopped by with my daughter, who was fascinated by the rock garden and waterfall. We were greeted by Caryn, who was warm and clearly experienced in working with crystals and minerals. She seemed delighted to share her knowledge and stories with us. I was somewhat nervous about bringing my toddler with me but Caryn was so kind to her and welcomed her to (appropriately) handle some of the crystals and stones. Having heard impressive things about this store, I traveled a long way to find it...only to not be acknowledged at any time during my twenty minutes inside. No one bothered to ask if I needed any help - the obsession was with two other customers talking about nothing from which the store help could not take a break or look up briefly with just a "hi." That is bull shit and fucked up behavior and after making sure all the money I had intended spending there was still secure in my bag, I left without a glance at the woman. She lost more than a huge sale today. We were scouting out places in New England for a larger tour, but this spot definitely will not be an item on our itinerary. read more

I visited Milford (all the way from Georgia, mind you) specifically with the intention of stopping by this mineral shop from the great reviews and feedback I'd heard only to be so disappointed and surprised by the service. We walked in, ready to be shown amazing things, eager to spend time and money looking for the perfect stones, and...nothing. Not even a hello. There were only two other people in the store at the time, but not even a greeting? Someone else came in after us and they got acknowledged! I'd never been treated so poorly before. I had to leave after only 15 minutes and I certainly wasn't going to spend any money there after that kind of rude, disgusting service. Imagine! All these great reviews of unique pieces (and there were: I fell in love with quite a few I was so excited to take home) but even after making eye contact, not a word. Excuse my language, but fuck that. I'm sure I'll find other places to visit but I was, still am, so disappointed. read more
