Great the first 4 times I came but wanted to make an appointment for two flat braids and was told no one in the shop does them. Really? I was there a few months prior and able to get them done. Second issue, my son got his hair twisted and didn't know he needed cash for balance. The asked him to go to ATM guess they didn't take cards that day and they kept his phone until he returned with the cash. But the last time I was there getting my hair flat twisted a lady left to go to the ATM and no one confiscated her phone! They lie and are not consistent with their payment policy. I called this spot last minute a couple of days ago needing to get my braids taken down and they agreed to get me in after work. This particular shop didn't initially install my locs so I was apprehensive because I'm very tender headed. Needless to say, I arrived at 4:30 and it took the young lady about 2 1/2 hours to take them down, detangle my hair, wash and condition it. I experienced no pain and she was very professional. I came here after review all the reviews on different websites. I was not disappointed. The shop and bathroom were clean. The ladies were professional and the owner was very nice. They played gospel music on the TV. There were not kids running around or people coming in and out. I made a same day appt. for box braids - they braids were tight but not crazy I can't function were are my edges tight. I will highly recommend and I will return. I got my hair braided on Thursday and am back in the salon to get them fixed because they are coming out. I have gotten my hair braided before and I know my hair is different BUT my other braiders have made it work. I only came to this place because it was an EMERGENCY! My hair is unraveling in the braids and it looks a HOT MESS! I call to get them fixed and the stylist who braided them said that's just your hair... ergh... then why is my hair ok in one section and looks like a Brillo lad in the next? Thankfully the owner realized you just have to use more gel to keep my hair in place and is fixing it. That's the only reason why they got two stars instead of one. I was initially excited & happy with my braids. However, after a week and a 1/2 they began to slip & fall out. I contacted B the owner & she stated "Passion twist slip and that's normal". She agreed to fix the crown on Labor Day. Upon arriving, the shop was full & I was asked to take my own hair down. Absolutely not... I will not take down what was not put in properly. There were several people with two technicians on their head. Instead of pulling one of them, I'm asked to do the work. Then, B states "Most people research before they get something." I did and it would've been courteous to ask if I knew they slipped when I initially called about the service. After spending $240 for the service and $40 for hair, I'm extremely disappointed, frustrated & unhappy. Good customer service is about integrity of your work, making it right & ensuring the customer is treated well. After approaching 2 weeks I'm now left with taking down my hair. This is an expensive mistake. I'll drive to Ft. Worth, Arlington or Dallas moving forward. I should've read the other reviews, apparently I'm not the only person who has experienced hair falling out within the 1st 2 weeks. read more

My initial review was great and I used to return to them. However, after my last visit, I never went back. They braid the front of your hair very neat and pretty. The back (that is covered with long braids) was very boxy and too spaced out. I guess they do this to save hair or because they braid the back last. Well, those braids should have the same consistency and pattern as the front, especially when you're paying so much money. read more

Be Prepared to pay more than you are told before you get your hair done. Queen B change prices on you! When I made my appointment I asked for two braiders. Queen B said that it would not be a problem. However, when I arrived it was a different story. A 6 hour braid became an 8.5hour braid. They are rough with the blow dryer and they don't tell you that they would be adding another $10 to pay for them to blow dry your hair--when you make the appointment. It took them 5 hours just to do a crochet style for another lady. She was pissed and irate about it. The braiders were way are eating Ramen noodles and pizza, while doing our hair. That made the client mad, therefore they started cussing at each other and the braider also told the client to shut up several times. The client was so mad that threw part of then money she owed them on the floor for them to pick up. She called her husband. One braider said, BLOCK THE FRONT DOORS.They blocked the front doors so her husband couldn't come inside. The braiders were scared that with the lady's husband coming it that it would be a fight. So the client called the police. I told Queen B, the owner that I would never be back!!!! Very unprofessional! read more

I called Queen B on a Saturday afternoon to see if my daughter could get her hair braided after having a bad experience somewhere else. They were able to take her right away. There was no wait when we showed up, and in fact she had 2 people working on her head at one point. We showed them a picture of what we wanted and the end result was actually better than the picture!
