I rarely have the need for a cab but, twice this week I did. First time wasn't too bad I needed a ride home from the hospital. But, today I called to line up a ride so that I could be to work on time. The dispatcher said call me when you're ready and HUNG UP yes, he hung up on me! I hesitated to call back but, there's not a lot of cab companies out there these days. Uber and Lyft are not reliable/very expensive. I called back and said I'd rather not get hung up on again, I need a ride for work at such n such time... thankfully the driver was much better. read more

I called at 530pm on Christmas eve and I was on my way to a Christmas party to see my family I only see 1 time a year so this was very important to me. The unprofessional and very rude lady who had answered the phone told me it would not be long. 7:30 comes around now its 2 hours later and I call back to see what Is going on and the lady told me it will be right there. I'm not angry it took them over 2 hours I'm angry that she lied to me and told me not long at all. Over 2 hours is a very very long time if you ask me. I usually use Ubers and I will continue using Ubers. My hotel called this cab. He does not speak English well at all. When he called to pick me up he told me I had to find him that he was in a parking lot. I was at the Manchester Airport and all he said was he was in a parking lot. I had 3 suitcases and a backpack. He said he would get fined if he picked me up at the airport shuttle area which is where he eventually did pick me up. I had load my bags into his car and take them out. He also smelled like a French whore with his aftershave crap on. I literally tossed my cookies when I left the cab. My husband and I called for a cab today and told him I needed a ride from my address so I gave him my building number as a normally would mind you it's a secured building he then refused me and my family a ride because I did not give him my actual apartment number. We stayed overnight at a hotel that usually offers shuttle service for concerts. Because of staffing issues, there was no shuttle but they referred us to Queen City Taxi. We did have to wait about 15 minutes past our scheduled pick up time, but it was during peak concert traffic time, so it was understandable. Jeff picked us up and was so great! He told us to call when the show was over and he would personally ensure a prompt pick up and ride back to the hotel. The show got over later than we planned, but Jeff was right there in the designated spot! He did his best to manuever through all the traffic and was great company for the duration of our short trip. My elderly father had to take a cab to my work which is a restaurant to come meet me. The cabbie #30 was completely rude and degrading to him. And even threatened my father in front of my kids who range from 4-18. My father and I called the company but was told that we should ask for 30 not to drive us again. He was mot reprimanded at all and nothing happened. We are calling city hall and the Better Business Bureau to see what they can do. He then started talking the long way and I told him that so he had an attitude. My car stranded me. I'm walking down Hooksett rd in the rain. I call for a cab and explain that I'm not familiar w the area but provide the businesses I can see in front of me. Dispatcher hangs up. I call back, same woman says "if you dont know where you are, keep walking". Hangs up again. I call back, ask for a manager. The woman laughed and hung up. I waited 2 days and called in the morning. I reached a gentleman who told me they are too busy to be nice on the phone and have too much business. "Too much business". Unsafe Driver to EVERYONE on the road. On 9/6/2017 between 8:19 and 8:25 AM the driver of car 163 honked and refused to move to the left lane between Bridge st. and lowell to pass me, a bicyclist. This is right where there is signage reminding drivers that NH state law allows a bicyclist to take the whole late where "practicable." When calling to report this driver the dispatcher said he would talk to the driver. I asked about additional education for their drivers to ensure it would not happen again, and he said it wasn't a company responsibility and got upset. He was very rude. In my opinion Queen city Taxi is very unprofessional. The taxis are filthy dirty and The cab drivers are slovenly dressed and eat while they are driving. I called a cab to take me from my Doctors office in Manchester to Wal-Mart in Hooksett. I was charged $16.00. The taxis meter was not on and I assumed it was broken. He didn't say anything about it being a set fee. If the meter was broken he should have said so. I was overcharged $5.00. Another thing that I don't like is that they mention too much personal information during the drive. I am not interested in your problems. Just drive me to my destinaton. In the distance of less than 1 mile, I witnessed this driver nearly kill a man on a motorcycle by merging into him. Then do exactly the same thing again, this time to a car. Unfortunately Manchester is a city that has next to nill choices when it comes to taking a taxi. For the most part, I had been fortunate to have drivers who were polite and friendly. Those were the ones that I have tipped well. Then I had a few that were totally lacking in customer service and made it a point to drive another way to my destination which ended up costing me anywhere from .80 to a dollar more. When I asked politely why they are choosing to go this way or that way, I would get, I didn't want to take a left because a right would take me in the direction I WANT to go. Umm, sorry to say but taking a right would have shaved .40 off of the fare, I'm not made of money. I know they rent cabs and they want to make money however, this is not the way to go about it or at least not with me. A new thing their doing is arriving 30 mins later than they said they would. Every single time i call they show up 45 to an hour late. It never fails. Now when they do show up sooner then they dont call, ring your buzzer or anything. One day i had to go to work for 1:00 pm. If I could give negative stars I would. The "driver" was called by the Hampton Inn who supposedly uses this as their official shuttle between the hotel and airport. Since they are not contracted by the airport they sleazily slide into the parking garage and try to get out in less than 5 mins so they do not have to pay! I am a regular with this company. Back when i worked at Dunkins i called them 3-4 days a week, Always on time and always SO friendly. I've had a few slip ups with them once in a blue moon.. But today i had to go drop off mail at an office, I told them i needed to drop it off there and then be dropped off back home. The dispatcher told me, " We cannot do that, you need to be dropped off and then call for another cab back home." I tell the cab driver my situation and at first he was okay with it but the Dispatcher complained saying i NEEDED to call for another cab even though THIS cab driver was willing to drive me back home not even 5 minutes away. He apologized to me and left, I called AGAIN, Now waiting OUT in the cold. If i knew they would pull this crap i would have layered myself up better. I have used them several times since they are the first ones I called not sure who else is out there. I called when it was snowing they told me it was going to be a 20 min wait which I figured its why I called early the cab was an hour late I called several times and they said it would be there soon I was 30 minutes late for work. They then went over 80 on the highway while it was snowing mind you. He almost lost control of the car several times. Scared the living hell outta me and my mother. then he over charged me I told him it is normally a set price he insisted it was what it said on the meter. I just fork over the money and got over it. I was surprised to see the poor rating for this company, but maybe it has to do with who your driver is. I've used Queen City several times in the past, and just recently for a trip to the airport and home. This time the driver picked me up in a silver van, and the cab was soooo CLEAN I was really surprised. The man was polite and friendly and professional. He was a Jamaican man (Al), and he was on time (actually had to wait for me to get out the door) and was right there to take care of getting my suitcases in/out of the van. Awesome customer service! I didn't know that you can ask for a particular driver, but apparently you can and I'll ask for him when I need a taxi again.
