I went in to get my face waxed because I had ticked for glow in the weekend. Well it was a huge fail. The wax must have been too hot, or she used too much. she went over the same area multiple times. I was burned so badly I couldn't smile. my skin ended up peeling and I was in pain for days. we are at day 6 now and I'm still not healed. I bought cover up and moisturizer for GLOW so I could take a few pictures. i asked them for a refund for my wax and they did. But considered moisturizer and consealer cosmetic. I have been testing nail spots regularly, like the pretty pretty princess that I am. After going to four in the last couple of months, I think Queen Nails might be my spot! It's clean, friendly and cheap. Most importantly, it's between my house and my daughter's daycare. Even princesses love convenience. I was able to make a same-day appointment and I saw some people get walk-in spots, too. I went for my usual polish removal and shellac mani. It cost a mere $35 flat plus tip if you pay cash, and my coral nails are fabulous. The rest of me is in sweat pants, but whatever... This was the most UNPROFESSIONAL place I have ever been to! They'll try up charging you for every little thing.. which is even worst when THEY SUCK! Every time I would attempt to look at my nails while the nail tec was working, she would LAUGH at me and not give me an opportunity to see if I liked them. When she finally finished I was going to get my pedicure... but while examination my nails I noticed my nails where pushed back (looking unnatural and like press one) and the nail designs were thicker than my liking and weren't straight. I expressed my concerned and was met with push back.. another nail tec proceeded to arguing with me. She told me everyone would love them and I don't know what I'm talking about. She forced me to show my nail inspiration and insisted it was the same... then kept belittling me and my knowledge about nails. She began making me extremely unfortunate and I voiced that to her and she would not leave me alone! In that instance I decided not to get a pedicure Bc I didn't want to put more money in an establishment that lacked skill, professionalism, and respect for customers. However, I had to continue waiting for my sisters pedicure to be finished. The process was a JOKE! The water had no bubbles, they didn't have hot water, they used paper towels to separate my sisters toes when painting them. AND TO MAKE IT WORST THEY GAVE HER USED SHOES FOR WHEN HER TOES DRY! Worst pedicure experience ever!!!! And... I go to nails salons since many years every 6 weeks to get my pedicure done! First time I've seen that : they used oil rather than cream to basically just spread oil on my leg (not massage) and my legs started burning and then swelling (picture)! Maybe ask your customer if they prefer cream? Or don't use toxic oils on skin? Also they removed the towel from underneath my feet so they were sliding in oil just above the tub... and the dirt... I had to ask for a towel that they took 5 minutes to bring. The tool they use as toe separator is brown paper towel that we use in public bathroom to dry hands, which I would have nothing to complain about if it wasn't from this bad experience. However I prefer the classical toe separator in foam. Even if terrible, the cost for this pedicure was way overpriced compared to the usual $35-45 that I am used to. To end this nightmare, the polish didn't stay on my toe nails and as soon as I got home (I live 2 minutes away) I noticed my big toes had no more polish on them and some others too (picture)! In fact, my husband is putting polish on my toe nails right now as I am writing this review! He should not be doing this as I am coming back from my usual pedicure!!! (I guess he's annoyed too) Don't go there, go to Beauty Line on King instead of Tibet on Queen, they are worth avoiding Queen Nails and Spa! read more

This is speaking from experience-Recently moving back to Toronto- (I have been living in New York, London etc) I really wanted to find a nail salon that I could trust. I normally get acrylics on my hands with gel polish and normal polish on my toes (I suggest the deluxe pedicure if you need some extra TLC!) With coming here I switched to biogel instead of acrylic and they have lasted weeks with no breaks! (Have had gfs come here with the same experience) & pedicure is impeccable. My mom even comes to do her toes here from Yorkville because they do such a great job! The ladies here are so nice and accommodating. Sometimes I can't make it to my appointment due to my hectic schedule and they never complain and greet me with a smile every time I go. They do a great job on pedicures, especially for a runner who has an ingrown nail. They are great at making my feet look and feel exactly as they should. I get a gel manicure with Kate and she is a real professional. It comes out looking very thin on the sides and natural-- plus she can do nail art if you're into that kind of thing. This is the first nail spa salon I have tried so far in this area. Booked appointment 30 minutes before for medi-pedi, service was nice and friendly. The female who did my pedicure was really thorough in her work. A guy did medi for me was equally good at his work. One disappointment was the 15% discount they have mentioned on yelp isn't valid anymore. But you can still claim that if you pay in cash. The give out some card with stamp on it each time you visit and after some 6 times you get some free service. Can't remember exactly what it is. It cost me around 50 bucks for medi-pedi including taxes. I would recommend this nail salon. read more

Have been to this salon three times. The was good every thing seemed clean. All of the tools looked fresh (it was fairly close to opening). The second time I went I was not sure if the girl had used clean tools. She pulled everything out of a drawer. Both of those times my nails looked nice. The 3rd time the women running the place did my nails. She cut them much shorter than asked and the bio gel was lumpy and un- even. It went on to my cuticles. Terrible job. The girl beside me left because the man came over to do her nails with the tools (un-sterilized) from his previous client. She walked out, completely justified. This place seems to be hit or miss on the standards of cleanliness. And seem to rush to get through clients instead of doing a good job. The concept of building a client base and doing a good job seems to be lost in greed to turn over. Ps. In the long run that never works. read more

Nice people. Even they can not talk well in English, they alway try their best to talk to you. However, their nail polish job weren't as good as what the others claimed. Probably they can do amazing bio-gel or shellac but they fail bad on regular nail polish application. However, the last two times I went in, the gal didn't paint close enough to the cuticle, so I had to get my nails filled after two weeks when they usually last three weeks. I came and got my nails done today after reading good reviews about this place, and I'm so glad I did! The three sisters that work/own this place are so sweet and friendly. They don't speak the best English but they try to converse with you in English and get to know you better instead of constantly chatting to each other in their language which is nice. Made an appointment 2 days beforehand, still waited a half hour. This is unacceptable! I noticed that a few others were in the same boat as me. I payed only $10 for bio gel removal, but my nails are completely ruined I am unsure if this was because of the service, or because my nails are actually ruined from bio gel (i've only had them on for 2 weeks...and this is my first time having them). The lady shaved down my nails so much it was painful. I've noticed at other salons that they soak your nails first, but mine were so filed down I can see red. It was extremely extremely painful. I wouldn't recommend this place for the customer service or the actual quality of service. UPDATE: I went to another salon and they told me that the girl doing my nails didn't even remove all of the bio gel. The reason it hurt so much was because she literally shaved off my own nail around the edges and left bio gel in the centre. They ARE supposed to soak your nails in acetone, so she did it incorrectly. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Do not go here to get a bikini wax. No matter what. No matter the emergency. If Ryan Gosling calls you up and asks you to come over, don't do it. I have gotten Brazilians from different salons in different places and with different estheticians so I am fully aware of what the experience is like. And I have never had anything comparable to this awful experience. The wax took an hour. AN HOUR. I am not a super hairy person. She had either no idea what she was doing or is just dreadful at her job. She waxed the same spot over 10 times and there was still hair. It was the longest and most painful experience I've had in a salon. Usually waxes take no more than 20 minutes. I walked out almost crying and I have a very high pain tolerance. She kept saying that she was doing it in small parts so it hurt less which it certainly did not but this was ridiculous and also the most painful wax I have ever had. She then said she would tweeze but there was so much hair left and I couldn't handle it anymore, so I left. Do yourself a favor and do not go here to get waxed. ONE HOUR! I really hate giving bad reviews and the esthetician was not mean or anything, but I feel that I must absolutely caution anyone thinking of going here for a bikini wax. Usually get great nails and service here. Today they had a young man do my shellac chrome job and HE BUTCHERED IT. He was on his phone the whole time and kept forgetting one of the nails and didn't switch my hands into the uv light on time -there were bubbles, scratches and uneven levels - it looks bad. They tried to fix it but it was still brutal, and I was made to be very late for work because of it. I gladly paid for the pedi done by a lovely young woman, but when I refused to pay for the mani, they were all up in arms and were very unpleasant. I eventually took a 50% discount on the mani they offered because I was in a rush. Am never going back. I can understand people make mistakes, but the way I was treated was awful. Just own up to it and keep my business, I am a regular client who spends about 200$/month in nail etc services... I would never treat my clients that way at my workplace. read more

This is my "go to" place for nails in Parkdale. The staff are friendly and efficient. The space is clean and inviting. I really enjoy coming in for a manicure and pedicure as often as I can. After my daughter was born, the ladies encouraged me to bring her in. Now I pop in with the stroller and park it beside my chair. If she gets fussy nobody minds.
