Nails came out really swell however and the price was good, felt like I was a Queen somewhere from a long time ago. Got pampered real good up in here, got these nails carved out like some Japanese model, in no time flat. Painted the nails with a clear coat to protect the investment spent for a few days. Next time want to get my toes all done up, they can grind those corns right off and that deep swamp mudd from under the toe nails, get my money worth for sure. I stopped into Queen Nails recently when my favorite salon was busy, but I needed a fill. The salon has lots of good reviews here, so I decided to check it out. First, the pictures posted of this place are deeply deceiving. It looks like a nice place with a lot of amenities, but in reality, it's very small and cramped. They've shoved as many manicure tables and pedicure chairs as they possibly can into the space, which makes it look jammed and sloppy. When I arrived, it was over 90 degrees outside, and they had the door propped open! Even on a hot summer day, no A/C for the comfort of their paying guests. I should have turned around right then! Inside the front door is an awkward bar area (once again, crushed into the already full space) and a reception desk that looked like it was used more for storage than reception. There were a few chairs in front for people waiting, but it was nearly impossible to even get inside while people were sitting in these chairs. I got a seat at a manicure table quickly, but this begins my next complaint. I'm a plus size lady, and would like to suggest that my other plus size sisters think twice before they come here. The manicure tables are sized to hold two clients and two nail techs, but they cram three of each at each table. With so many tables, the backs of clients at one table are almost right up against the backs of techs at the next table. My nail tech kept fussing at me to sit down, but sitting down meant getting up and down several more times as other techs or customers needed to move past. The chairs are very low bucket seats. The tech did not offer a drink at all, despite the sweltering heat in the salon. She was grinding away at the nails on one hand as I awkwardly looked through color swatches with my free hand on the few inches of table allowed me. I asked about chrome powder treatment over gel, and was told that it would cost $25 extra! Then when I asked for cat eye gel, was told it would be $5 extra. She was getting really impatient at this point, so I just settled on a color and went with it. The tech pushed back my cuticles with her dirty thumbnails! I couldn't have been more disgusted by that. When she brushed acrylic dust away, she dusted herself off and then occasionally brushed off my hands as an afterthought. The layer of acrylic she put down was thick, so my nails look like unnatural chicklets. :( She gave them a nice oval shape, but the slender shape would have looked much nicer on someone with thin fingers. She didn't take my fingers into account at all. She also ground down all along the outside of each nail, leaving a noticeable gap between the polish and the cuticle. It just doesn't look nice. I paid more here for this impatient service and rushed job than I would have spent at my favored salon for the same service. I think if you're a regular here, you may like the place. If you're new, though, I would suggest going somewhere else. Pretty much anywhere else. read more

I used to really love coming to this place but the last few times I have gone I've had a subpar experience. My most recent visit was on Saturday, February 6 and I have never had my hands bleed more than they did while I was at Queen Nail. Four of my fingers were cut and bleeding to the point where after I left I had to wrap toilet paper around my finger until it stopped bleeding 30 minutes later. After that experience I already was pretty bummed out. Well not even 48 hours later a few of my nails began chipping. I have gotten gel manicures many times before and it usually takes about a week maybe a week and a half before they start chipping or peeling at all and four days later four of my nails are already chipping in peeling off. I have been to a lot of nail salons in a lot of cities, and this was not only one of the worst manicures and pedicures.. but one of the worst experiences. To keep this short and to the point I'll point out the worst parts of this. After my pedicure the nail tech insisted I stay in the pedicure chair while she did my manicure while standing up over me, making me hold my arm in the air while she did everything. Multiple times I asked if we could go to the open manicure stations but she insisted no. As you can imagine, the manicure was awful because she was standing over me in a massage chair, but the worst part is when she told me to wash my hands and I got up to walk to the sink but she insisted I sit back down AND WASHED MY HANDS IN THE PEDICURE FOOT BOWL!! After this I insisted we sit at a manicure chair and she fix my nails she messed up. The manicure looked awful after I left and I ended up removing it. Went in for a gel polish manicure and wasn't happy with the nail tech or my nails. Not my usual place but went in for a girls night. The nail tech was not polite for one second. She didn't listen to anything I asked for. I don't like my nails to be buffed or excessive use of cuticle nippers. She did both. She even filed my skin abrasively. My nails were crooked and I made her aware but she didn't try to make it right. Wouldn't go back. I give it 2 stars because the rest of the group was happy and the owner was kind. Recently, my wife wanted to treat our two granddaughters, ages 5 & 8 as well as herself to a mani/pedi before returning to school so I tagged along. I really didn't know what to expect. The gentleman that greeted us was very friendly and spoke pretty decent english. The rest of the staff spoke little to no english so it was difficult to communicate. My biggest surprise was when a guy in his 20's dressed in jeans, t-shirt and ballcap was setting up to work on the 8 year old. I thought it was kind of odd. He didn't speak to her at all, no smile just rushed through the whole process. The two women that worked on my wife and the 5 year old took more time with them but almost no interaction. My advice is that if you're going to operate a personal service such as this, have a professional appearance and have employees that speak the language. Was then given to someone to do my nails then to someone else and back to someone else for a nail design ny 2 year old could have done $40 dollars later and a $10 dollar tip. I should have listened to the bad reviews and stuck with a place I was familiar with 20 minutes further away. The guy who did my pedicure made my nails uneven and left nail polish all around my nails. I paid $65 for a deluxe pedicure and have never not wanted to tip someone so badly. I'm pregnant and just wanted to get a nice pedicure on a night where my husband could stay with our baby, and I'm so disappointed. I tried to tell the guy at check out that my nails were uneven, and he just laughed and said "yeah!" I went back inside to resolve it and asked for someone else to fix it. They gave me the same guy, and he needed two other people to try to help him and walk him through what was wrong. He filed my nails some and said they were fixed. Lady who runs the front ruined my Valentines date. When we walked in we let her know we had made 2 pedicures for 4pm. I'm a plus size lady and some how that made me pregnant. Definitely just found my all time favorite salon! This was my first time going so here is my impression. Super clean, very welcoming vibe, everyone smiled at me as soon as I walked into the door and immediately Rosy(the owner) asked me how I was and then asked what I wanted to do. I wasn't sure what I wanted but she was super helpful. Once we got started, normally at other salons they rush through it to get done but this time was different. She took her time and did not rush at all which was perfect! Because when other salons do rush they tend to get the fake nail crooked and it just doesn't feel like they're doing a good job. All my nails are even, straight and to top it all off, Rosy told me she was blessed to have me come in. She's super sweet and from now on, I'll definitely be coming back to the salon and to Rozy. Tried this place a few years back for dip nails. First experience was crappy. Rosie, the owner/manager had them redone. The girl did great. I saw her a couple more times then all of a sudden, the prices kept changing so I stopped going. Decided to give them a try for a pedicure as I didn't have time to go out north to another highly recommended spa. What a CRAPPY pedicure. Less than 30 minutes, didn't even remove all the callouses. I selected their Voesh Pedicure described as this: Voesh products in this pedicure provide deep moisturizing skincare that includes callus remover, cuticle treatment, as well as UV protection. The treatment consists of sea salt, sugar scrub, mud mask, lotion, callus removal, moisturizer, and hot stone massage. Choose a scent from below for your pedicure. Not only was I not given the option to choose the scent, but there was either no salt scrub or no sugar scrub because there were only two items put on my legs and those were never put on my feet. Don't waste your money. At check out Rosie asked if everything was ok. I said I'm not impressed. All the callouses weren't even removed. She said she could have someone else to it and I said don't bother. I won't be back. I could have done a better job on my own callouses at home. Wow. What a waste of money! read more

This used to be my favorite place to get pedicures done. Last Sunday My daughters, granddaughter and I went in for pedicures. I got an ok pedicure, my 3 year old granddaughter was treated like a princess and the lady was great with her. My one daughter received the worst pedicure. She put the drying drops on first (not exaggerating), then was upset when we were trying to explain to her how to use them. She put one coat of polish on, no second coat or top coat and just walked away. She was so rude! My other daughter's person was lagging behind and after conversation with another employee (we couldn't understand what was being said). She rushed through the process and her toes looked bad. I have gone to Queen Nails a few times now, and each time it gets better and better. I usually just get a classic pedicure. Service is always friendly but this last time it was top notch. Kim (I believe) was AMAZING! I came in 30 minutes before they closed on a weekday and there were still a few people around. It got down to being just me in there and she didn't rush one bit. She actually did more than any of the other nail techs have done in the past. I didn't walk out until 35 minutes past closing time and the last three people in there working were still so nice and insisted I stay the full time under the dryer. Completely destroyed my nails. I am pretty cognizant about getting my nails done, typically maintaining and taking care of them myself. Strong and healthy nail is what I was told when I got the gel polish. When I asked to remove the gel after three weeks and replace it with regular polish (being aware of long term effects), I was met with someone who cut corners. Used the Dremel down to the skin, no soak, no acetone with cotton and foil. Now I am faced with going on week 6 of splitting, breaking and short nails. It physically hurts. Buyer beware, unless you need acrylic or gel then you get A+ service for your return service. You get what you pay for. read more

One star isn't low enough. I got a pedicure and I had shellac on when I arrived. Instead of soaking the shellac off she began peeling it off and RIPPED OFF MY TOE NAIL. She kept pulling until I said ouch. Since my toe nail was still hanging on in the corner she laid it down and painted over it THEN against my better judgment and the fact that I'm too anxious of a person to leave I let her do my dipping powder where my nails broke within a week and I am currently on Yelp looking for a new salon. Recently I went to Queen Nails and asked if anyone was available who knew reflexology. I was told yes and directed to a spa chair. First, the good. I loved the chair. And the woman who gave me service was pleasant and gave a nice leg massage with nice smelling things. Now the bad.I didn't know where to put my feet because she didn't put water in the foot basin. I don't know why she didn't. It made it awkward to know what to do with the foot not receiving treatment. While she gave me a nice massage, it's not what I asked for and it's not what I received. I specifically asked for reflexology and it was far from that. If they didn't do reflexology, better to just say so. I won't go back even if they do good work with mani/pedis. I don't like being misled.I gave two stars because of Kim's pleasantness and the chair. I don't fault her for not knowing reflexology. I fault the woman who was giving a manicure after I walked in who yelled, "Yes" to me when I asked if someone was available who would be able to give the service. read more

I quit coming to Q nails a few years back and for convenience popped in for a pedicure today. I now remember why I found another salon years ago. Customer service is nonexistent. The salon is a hot mess. There is so much clutter everywhere-on the walls, at the manicure stations, spilling out of the back room. There is a warehouse of low end wine on the bar. No base coat was applied. You sit in the chair for 10 minutes to hopefully dry your nails. Needless to say, a dismal experience. Really deserves zero stars. read more

My nails look great, but unfortunately when I requested a Dip Manicure, that's what I expected. Instead I over paid for something that did not fully meet my request. My cuticles and nails were left unsoaked or cleaned and when I asked if he planned on cleaning my cuticles and skin around the nails as part of the service, I received a laugh and was asked to meet at the register to pay.
