I would not recommend. I told her I did not want the machine to remove the gel but she did it anyway, telling me not to worry. She didn't fully remove the prior polish, was rushing and went to do a French manicure where clearly the former gel polish showed through. Guy who did my mani/pedi, Vince, seemed really annoyed with his job. He would literally hit me every time he wanted me to move my foot or finger!! Gel color looked different from the book- he said "oh yeah sometimes it looks different" Eerr no its' supposed to look like the sample that you provided in the book. Felt like i got pushed into quickly choosing another color I didn't like. He didn't take off old get polish properly l, didn't ask what shape nails I wanted... The whole experience was pretty bad. I believe they do a good job at this location. I speak and understand English however my service provider talked and talked for almost the whole time in a language I did not understand.... I guess the questions are...Was this person talking about me? Was this person talking to someone ... (no one answered) or to his/herself? I know we have different cultures but in mine, this is really not acceptable. The place I usually use must be having some difficulties as it has become more difficult to obtain an appointment....and they no longer accept credit cards. I've been here several times over the past few years, including taking my grandmother to get her nails done, and it has always been a fantastic experience. The staff is friendly, courteous, and really want to make you happy. It is clean and cozy inside the salon, and you can't fault the quality of the work they do. Came in for a refill. The man seemed annoyed at the task at hand. He said the nails before were terrible so bad (kept repeating this) but I got them done there prior. Said the total was something but changed a few extra dollars more on my receipt - felt as if he was nickel and diming me. Spa pedicure and gel manicure was very well done. The massage was excellent and she took her time. I have gotten a lot of compliments on my nails. They look wonderful. They are a little more expensive than some other nail places but I think they are worth it. I have not gotten any mail fungus and the are very clean and meticulous cleaning their tools. I had a very bad experience earlier that day with another nail salon, and they messed my fingers up! So not knowing what to do when I left, I looked up nearby nail salons and this place had some great reviews. And it's super close to my house. So I figured I'd give it a shot When I walk in I was greeted immediately, and the man that greeted me and did my nails (I think his name was Andy) listened to my story through my tears and not only fixed the mess that the other salon dealt me with, but he made my nails look beautiful! The shop is very clean and upscale but it's still affordable. He spoke to me almost the whole time I was in his chair. He was just so nice. When I walked in I was still crying from what happened at the previous shop and a lady handed me a box of tissues, and when I left I was beaming! This is, from now on, my go to nail spot. They treat you with such respect and they want to do what's best for your natural nails, which I really appreciated. I would give this place 10 stars if I could! read more

I just moved here to Delaware and this is the first nail salon I've been to. On my first visit I went in for a new set and pedicure and spent over $100. I went home not very satisfied with the job and almost immediately started to feel itchy on my feet. I called the salon to explain the situation and their response was that the nail girl does not usually work there she was just filling in for someone. Uhhh ok. On my 2nd visit I got a fill and a pedicure again. They didn't clean my cuticles well and pretty much did a half ass job. Still not satisfied. I called the salon and spoke with the owner who said that he would personally do my nails the following session. On my 3rd (and final visit) the owner took care of me, and believe it or not did an even worse job than the previous 2 girls!!! Ugh! I didn't even get the massage with the machine that I previously got with the other 2 nail techs! I left a message to tell owner the situation and have yet to receive a call back. I have spent a lot of money at this place and obviously they don't VALUE their customers. I'm surprised they have as many stars as they do. I will not be returning and do not recommended. read more

My mom was there today and made an appointment for gel dip nails. They cut all her nails off and started putting on acrylic even though that's not what she wanted and she told them that. She kept asking for gel dip and they put on just gel Polish. They completely ignored her. Color was not what she wanted and she told them that. She felt bullied into something she didn't want. I recently moved to this area and have been searching for a place to get a gel manicure. I tried this location since it's very close to my new home. It was clean and they took me right away. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the gel manicure. They didn't ask how I wanted my nails shaped, and shaped some of my nails rounded, and some square. I felt like the manicure was very rushed, and it looks that way as well. The polish is darker in some places, and lighter in others. Disappointed that I wasted money on something I'm not happy with. Queen Nails is the only place I trust to get my nails done. I go in every 2 weeks to get a gel manicure. They shape my nails exactly how I like every time and have a large color selection. They are also much more affordable than any other nail salon in the Hockessin area. It took me quite a bit of searching around before going to Queen Nails. I have made appointments and when I get there they are so packed they can't see me right away. They are constantly saying they are not busy when I call and when I arrive I have to wait 15 to 20 minutes. They do not do an efficient job waxing either. read more

So delighted to have found this delightful location. I did a great deal of front end research looking for a good place for gel manicures and waxing. I have to say--even tho there are a few places with slightly better rankings, but presumably for different services--I'm not disappointed. It's still a few hours after my services, but I really am thoroughly impressed with the quality of service and also the customer service. For waxing, this is some of the best value for money I've seen in a while. I've had waxing in nail places before and found it lacking: but this was wonderful. Specific wax for specific needs and attention to detail. For gels (both manicure and pedicure), I'm quite happy with the end result. The process was a bit different than I expected, but I like what they did in the end. It looks good and they asked lots of questions to ensure I was happy. I hope I feel the same way in a few days (I'm pretty hard on my nails and have a bad habit of picking), but I think they did a great job and I hope to be back. Maybe with some Friends .... read more
