Absolutely terrible dentist my son had an appointment for 12pm and was going to be administered laughing gas therefore he couldn't have food prior to his appointment. By 1:30 we decided to ask what was going on and they told us our son wouldn't be seen for another 2 hours! Making that 3:30 hours past our appointment time. I was a pediatric dentist that recently quit due to the office culture and cheap nature of the practice. The office manager is toxic and unprofessional and you can see that other reviews have commented the same. The owners/management have not helped or given advice when reached out to about this matter so things stayed the same. They are also not handling the cleanings appropriate. As per NY law, assistants are not supposed to be doing cleanings. Additionally, they owe me my compensation for 6 days of pay in December. I have reached out multiple times to the office managers and owners and they refuse to respond and have voiced to others they will not pay me. Brought this to the right people who will handle this but overall, do not recommend this office. Clearly do not care about the patients, staff or doctors. read more

This office is located on Woodhaven Blvd and the cross street is Jamaica Avenue. It's steps from the Woodhaven Blvd station entrance and the Q11, Q21, Q52 LTD and Q53 LTD bus stop is right outside of the office door. Don't believe the red dot shown on Yelp. You'll spot the entrance also by the double green dentist flags framing the doorway. You walk in and go up the steps and on the left you'll see the frosted entrance to orthodontist office and on the right, the gray metallic door to the children's dentist. Just open the door and walk the few steps to the counter for check in. There's a play table and a couple of toys for the children to play with but they could use much more. I was here the other day and actually had a wait for the first time ever. It wasn't long as I was still home by 2:00p and my appointment time was for 1:00p, so not bad. The dental assistants/hygienists are all really nice and child-friendly. The unisex bathroom is located in a small corner in the waiting area. You have to peek around the wall otherwise you'll miss it if sitting near the entrance. They have a small area once past the waiting room doors for parents to put there items before entering the treatment/examination area. That is also bright, airy and very child friendly especially with the view from the windows. (My kid is a aficionado and so the view of the subway station is perfect for him.) Best of all, both of the dentists employed here are lovely and very approachable. We've been seen my Dr. Carolina and her dental partner whose name escapes me but we've seen him twice and he's been a real star with dealing with my temperamental toddler. For a simple check up/cleaning, you shouldn't be back there more than 5 minutes. The ladies at the desk are quick at scheduling your next appointment and do address the child patient which is fantastic and how it should be. PS: If you ever call and they have you on hold for a few minutes, it's because they're pretty busy at the office with in person patients. read more

No air conditioning twice on over 90 degree days. The first time I went there they said "oh this is the first time this has ever happened", so I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it happens and what can you do. The second time, I was dripping and I'm not exaggerating. As was my two year old. After 20 minutes or so my son was called, to wait in the chair for another 20 minutes...maybe even more. When he was finished with his cleaning I asked the hygienist how long of a wait it would be for the doctor and she shrugged, pointed to her in another room and said "I don't know, she's doing a treatment". I said ok bye. At this point I had been there over an hour. I hope my son has no cavities, I guess we will see in 6 months upon our next visit to anywhere but here. Never again. read more

I am giving it 2 stars because the wait wasn't horrific and the dental assistant was very sweet. The dentist however is a complete joke. Please beware that she will immediately advise you that your child will NEED laughing gas per treatment $120 / per appointment. My son has 6 cavities and of course that would be 3 sessions. I overheard another mother complaining about the same charges in the waiting area. By no means should you EVER be mandated to place your child under any sort of sedation , it should be SUGGESTED, especially not for cavity fillings. When I told her how i felt about her strong suggestion , she stated in order for HER to work on him I needed to pay for the laughing gas lol (up-selling at its worst) In addition, my other child was first told she had great dental hygiene. I just needed a clearance form for Braces,....After reviewing her x-rays she then told me my daughter needed 2 root canals on her front teath....-_- what??! I called her first dentist under Montifiore Medical and was advised that my daughter DOES NOT have any cavities under her front teeth and to not trust that dentist. Please PARENTS BE CAREFUL.... do not let this dentist do what ever she wants to you child to make an extra few hundred dollars , please beware. She continued to speak to me in Spanish while I was speaking English, trying to confuse me. Our very first visit was suppose to be 2/11/18 at 9:30AM (rescheduled from another date due to the doctor not able to make it in). We arrived 30 minutes early (even on a rainy day) to do paper works that usually comes with first visits. We were the 3rd in line according to the sign in chart. We waited till almost 10AM, asked the receptionists if they had an idea when we will be seen (we have a 3 year old & a 1 year old, they were getting antsy). The receptionist tells us that the doctor normally doesn't come in till after 10AM (WHY are we scheduled for 9:30AM if the doctor doesn't even come in till after 10?). After 10:30, we asked if the doctor had arrived yet, then the receptionist tells us that the doctor had called and they are not going to be able to make it in at all. I was beyond annoyed! I was looking for a pediatric dentistry facility for my son in our area. I came across this place. I looked on their website and called the number which was provided on THEIR website (the same number on this yelp page). When I first called the receptionist answered and provided me with a new number (718-805-7777). I called that number several times. There was no answer and I was unable to leave a voicemail due to the mailbox being full. So I call back the original number on the website and I informed the same receptionist that " I am aware that this number on their website is not the number to the pediatric dentist however.........". She did not let me finish my question. She then stated "I am aware that the number is listed on the website" (very rude tone). I then attempted to finish my question stating that what I was going to ask is if the office was open because there was no answer or option to leave a voicemail. She then again,rudely responded "well if they didn't answer your calls then...). I hung up. This is a absolutely disgusting and unprofessional for a receptionist to act in this manner. A receptionist should be inviting to the business and pleasant. In addition, answer ANY questions in a polite manner. This is how you lose business! Reevaluate your staff. Maybe some training on how to answer the phone 101 will be beneficial. read more
