It was my first time there I wanted a little breakfast before I got my hair done. I ordered a bagel and 2 glazed doughnuts because they didn't have a big selection of donuts at that time. But I did get 2. The bagel was really good toasted, with light cream cheese. The lady, most likely the owner, was really pleasant and nice, and she gave me a Little-good luck charm. With my purchase. Visited on Thursday, 06/23/22 for the first time. Boyfriend and I wanted to grab a quick breakfast somewhere close by. The night before I researched a couple of donut spots near the surrounding area (Lawndale) and found a few - I asked by BF to select one and he wanted to try out Queen's Donut - so Queen's it is! Upon entering, the lady up front (I believe she is the owner - Kathy per Yelp?) was very friendly and was very patient with us. She instantly knew it was our first time here (she has a great memory of knowing who's who!) and we said yes. We ordered the following and dined in: - Boyfriend: 1 Ham, Cheese, Bacon & Eggs Croissant ($5.99) - Me: 1 Sausage, Cheese, Bacon & Eggs ($5.49) - Iced Coffee (20 oz): $3.49 TOTAL: $14.97 She was asking how we found her place and I basically explained the above (via Yelp). SO YUMMY! We enjoyed our breakfast and the iced coffee. We were delighted that there was less ice inside. Dine-in area is a bit small/limited. There was another customer who happened to be a loyal customer since he knew the lady and were having a conversation. All of a sudden all of us were having a conversation together - it was wholesome and genuinely made our day. The lady told me that she's from Cambodia. She then gave us an extra iced coffee as a courtesy - she's too GENEROUS!! She then gave me an origami-style, ring (made from a dollar bill) and told me that today is my special/lucky day (she didn't have to do that but it made me feel really special and loved in the Lawndale community). I then ordered a half dozen and she threw in extra donut holes we as well! I also put $1 in the tip jar since she gave me a $1 origami lucky ring :) Overall 10000000000 stars!! Had a super rough day yesterday and was in dire need of an apple fritter. Called ahead to confirm they were open and also make sure they had apple fritters. The lady on the phone was super nice and let me know there was one left and she would save it for me. Once I got there I was greeted by the owners who are so friendly. They packed up my order and must have been able to tell I was just holding it together. They gave some really sweet encouraging words, an extra donut and a super cute little purse charm to bring money and good luck. They have no idea how meaningful their kindness was for me. I got to my car and cried away the crazy of the day, grateful for these strangers. They will be my go to shop from now on. The fritter was so delicious with the perfect amount of gooey and crispy. I wanted to check out this place given all the great reviews it has but I'm sorry to say it disappointed me. I was not a fan of the coffee, which was a little too bitter. The ham, bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was not good at all. The sandwich was cold and it was covered in mayonnaise. I never seen a breakfast sandwich have mayonnaise inside of it. Light and airy doughnuts with a variety of glazes. I have to say that the doughnut holes are what will be bringing me back. The coffee is good too, better than DD's. This place is one of the best. They have a great variety of donuts, smoothies, sandwiches, and snacks to chose from. They have amazing boba and for a really good price. The staff is spectacular! They are really nice, sweet, and genuine. During their grand opening, they even gave out cute little one dollar rings to every customer and they even had a giveaway where I actually won $50, and 2 others won $150 each! The donuts they have are very good and they even have flavors I have never heard of, which is great. I usually get them in the morning, and they are still warm and fresh. They also have really good drinks, and I highly recommend their watermelon boba! I had an event coming up at school and I asked if I could bulk order 5 dozen donuts and they gave all of them to me for free! They wanted to help support my school, so they supplied me free donuts! I wanted to treat myself after exercising on Christmas morning with a delicious donut! I ended up with a glazed twist and glazed with pink frosting and sprinkles because it's Christmas and you have to try multiple donuts whenever you're at a new donut shop. The owner was very friendly and I loved that I got a little donut hole as an extra treat with each donut. Definitely makes you want to come back again. The donuts were both excellent! Just as advertised a warm friendly welcoming, a smile, and a comforting "welcome" was said to me as I visited. Another thing setting My Queen apart from those others is the care she put into making my breakfast sandwich. I know they offer a variety of items here, but I've only had the donuts, so that's what I'm rating 5 stars on. They are the best donuts I've had around this area! They have a decent variety, with some fun ones to choose from too. The ladies are always so friendly, and they give you a bonus donut hole with each donut you get (yes please I'll have donuts to accompany my other donuts!) Another thing that's awesome is they still taste great the next day (if you're anything like me and buy way too many donuts to eat in one day. Is there really a limit though?...) I felt so welcomed when I walked into this gem of a donut shop. Small but made a big impact on me. Queen served me the delicious blueberry fruity pebble donut..mmm so tasty and flavorful.
