My friends and I did a day trip to Quartzite for the Desert Gardens gem show. After a full day of walking and shopping in the dirt, we were starving! I usually stop at Carls Jr but the girls wanted something different. We found Quesa Birria Tacos on Google. It had high ratings so we went. Its a little hole in the wall next to a sus motel. I believe there may have been a drug deal going on in the parking lot. Normally I would have kept driving but I'm pretty glad I didnt! The place was packed inside. My friend ordered the chicken with a side of chips, the other ordered crunchy asada tacos, and I ordered carnitas taquitos. I did not expect much but GODDAMN the food was good!!! I can tell the corn tortillas are homemade and then fried for the chips, crunchy tacos, and taquitos. The carnitas inside my taquitos was tender and juicy without and fat or weird parts. I did go find the restroom to wash my hands and it was pretty gross inside but the food was so good that I'm not even deducing any stars. Just wash your hands before you go there.

Really clean , bright and welcoming! What a makeover in this long closed building! The food was excellent. Plenty of tender meat in both our meals . We both had leftovers for another meal too . They had a lot of modern street food options like you see on TV food shows ? Cool to see such "urban " choices in our country town . They are so different from the many Americanized Mex restaurants already in Blythe , a welcome discovery!

Sample tacos- bierria, carnitas and asada. Great ingredients, but just a bit underwhelming with the flavors.

Food - quesotaco with beans and rice- fresh and quality ingredients that shine, but a bit lackluster in flavor town. Tacos could use a bit more time on the griddle. Serive- good Parking - plenty Restroom- didnt use

Had 2 Quesabirria tacos and an orange jarritos soda. They were very good. They served them hot. So hot I had to wait a bit and open them to cool them off. Not complaining though. They didn't come with consume, I should have asked, my fault. Having said that they were so juicy I didn't feel I missed out too much. The service was awesome and I was impressed the young lady who took my order proceeded to continue working on a hand painted sign for menudo. Must try that too sometime. Want to try their birria ramen next. I'll be back next time I'm in Blythe. I remember when this place was Lalo's.......

AMAZING FOOD. pictured is my Birra Quesadilla it came with three slices of a huge tortilla and they loaded that quesadilla with meat and it was so delicious and flavorful. My mom ordered a queso carnitas taco and French fries, the fries were obviously fresh cut russet potatoes very good! My dad ordered a birria burrito extra spicy - they ran out of spicy salsa and made us some on the spot and gave us extra to go containers which we have been using daily for breakfast. We shared leftovers with my grandpa in Arizona and he said please ask them if they can box up salsa slap a stamp on it and mail it to him. This service was excellent all of the staff members were so nice and it's a must stop if you're traveling through town. Thank you so much!

The refrigerator has some incredible looking desserts!

Run, don't walk, to this place. We ordered quesabirria tacos, carnitasbirria tacos, carne asada tacos, consomme, and a side of rice...about $40 before tip. Each taco comes with a side of lemon, diced onion, and cilantro. Home cooked deliciousness! We've tried every Mexican restaurant in town over the past few years and this is, by far, our favorite. They have sodas by the can or glass bottles, including Coke and Jarritos. They have a selection of desserts, including flan! A nearby table ordered the quesabirria pizza ($22) and it looked like it could easily feed up to 6 people. Generous portions for sure! The staff are friendly and helpful. We took our order to go and they provided several salsas, utensils, and napkins. Love this restaurant and will definitely be back!

Before coming in the wonderful aroma welcomes you. The food is delicious & freshly prepared. The restaurant is clean and the service is great. We buy our carnitas from here and the flavor is always spot on. Tortillas are also handmade and fresh. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

If anyone passes by Blythe, they should absolutely try this place. Their birria tacos are absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the asada quesa taco. I was skeptical about getting full with three tacos, but this plate is everything I wanted. If anyone is remotely interested in this place, I absolutely assure you it's worth checking out. I'm definitely coming back.

Best quesabirria I've had. Very clean inside. Don't judge from the outside. Everything made fresh

Everything was tasty but I would make a few recommendations:…read more One is change the fake butter flavored spread or whatever it is that is used on the texas toast/sandwich bread - it cheapens the quality of your "homemade" food. Second, check the salad mix for rusty/brown/wilted bits - it totally killed the excitement I had to find your ranch dressing is yummy (i.e. not that cheap weird tangy crap many restaurants use) and my salad had ham bits but then it had like a 1/3 bad lettuce that I had to remove. Lasty, even though it's the end of the day and I know you are tired - front of the house customer service is equally as important to me as the quality of the food. It's imperative to be pleasant always and not make the customer feel like they are putting you out or burdening you - smile more at the very least - make me feel welcomed and want to back. Okay, sorry... one more - no one wants tomato slices as their only side veggie option - they were mealy, went straight in the trash, and that's just wasteful for your pocket and mine. There is no shortage of mixed veggies (frozen or canned) and I would be more than satisfied to have that as an option with real butter applied. That's just MHO - maybe the town likes tom slices and I'm way off... idk - I just didn't get it and I'm not a fan of that veggie option. Now the goods - prime rib was very flavorful (not quite med-rare as requested but the flavor made up for it), fish n chicken tenders was a good portion (though I don't think I was supposed to get 2 fish/2 chicken filets - it was still yummy along with the tarter sauce, and the salad with ham bits made me very happy... plus the ranch was quality (tasted like the good Ole hidden valley ranch dip packet w/sour cream which far exceeds that other bottled junk including the bottled version of its own, lol). Ambiance was fine for a diner but could benefit from a sprucing up to more match the feel of the outside of the building. A spring cleaning and a fresh slap of white paint to pick everything up inside. I like the little "gift shop" in the middle giving more privacy between tables. Overall, Steaks n Cakes is a much appreciated option in Blythe where a lot of quality dining options are lacking. Thanks y'all!

I wanted to love this place so bad!…read more My hash browns were drenched in oil. I asked for an over medium egg.. it was only cooked on 1 side so the white was still uncooked, bacon was all fat. The only thing good about my meal was the pancake The guy who sat us was very polite and friendly The restaurant it's self, very small, gives small hometown vibes (think Sweet home Alabama) Total was $60.. only ate have a pancake
