Price has changed, but freshness and the taste remains the same. My love towards Quesada stays the same LOL. I've ordered Barbacoa Burrito with chips and thought drink was included so I ordered the burrito with chips thinking the drink was included. I just didn't read it well. Food was made fresh as usual and the tortilla chips was made in house. Barbacoa Burrito was pretty good loaded with all these fillings. Tortilla chips were crispy. Slightly seasoned with salt, but it was tasty. Chips dried out the day after, but crispy when I popped in the mini oven. My money was well spent and I couldn't even finish the chips. Horrible everything. They put miniscule portions of everything but fill it all up with an obscene amount of rice. HORRIBLE customer service, workers were rude and difficult to understand. I was excited when this place finally opened. There was a bit of a line the first time I went, and it was not moving fast. So I left. It was better on my second visit as I was the 2nd person in line. I always had the bowl and while I liked how you can choose the size, I did not like how the staff seemed to be carefully measuring out the quantity of the toppings. The guy in front of me ordered the large, and had to keep asking the staff to add more lettuce, cheese, sauce etc to his order. I had the fish bowl and not many places offered fish as an option. The fish was surprisingly tasty. A bit crispy on the edges which was how I liked it. Unlike other burrito places, there is no hot sauce to add on after payment. I mean, A-OK defines this place. Does it make me want to book a trip to Mexico or Baja? No. Not really, but none of these fast food taco places do. Very Very Cheap and stingy place - the workers who charge for putting a little extra sauce on there and only put a few sauces on there then they say will charge you extra. The nice guy cashier explained that it wrecks the taste if you put too much on. He was the only highlight of the place and i did tip, cuz he was nice and courteous as opposed to dragon blank staring faced girl. Beyond Meat, the trendy plant-based meat substitute, seems to be taking the fast food industry by storm... notably with A&W (who always seems to run out of stock) and also with places now like Quesada Burritos & Tacos. This growing franchise of Mexican fast food outlets offers Beyond Meat as one of their protein options. I visited the Quesada located in the New Westminster Skytrain station in early March to see how Beyond Meat translates as a burrito filling. The crumbled Beyond Meat protein is flavoured with habanero pepper to give it a bit of a spicy kick. While it doesn't contain meat, it's not exactly "veggie" as the main ingredients are water, pea protein isolate, canola oil, and coconut oil... along with a bunch of other ingredients. In fact, it actually has about the same level of fat and calories as regular meat so I'm not sure how healthy it is. Their Beyond Meat Burrito Bowl ($7.69 plus $1 for guacamole) actually isn't that bad... like many places, you can customize the ingredients in your burrito bowl and I found that the Beyond Meat filling had a nice lingering heat (although that might have been from the habanero mayo that I added). I returned later in the month to try their Beyond Meat Burrito ($7.69 for a regular size). I have to say that I wasn't a real fan of their regular burrito. Sure, it was really packed (mainly with rice and beans) but I found the Beyond Meat filling got lost in the filling and I couldn't even notice that it was there. Plus, due to how much filling they use and the thin wrap, this burrito gets very messy to eat. The one thing that I really enjoyed in this burrito was the pink pickled onions. Personally, I'd stick with the burrito bowl vs the traditional burrito wrap... especially when it comes to the Beyond Meat versions. read more

I'm not sure why people are complaining about authenticity. Are there a lot of malls with fast food courts in Mexico? This is just as authentic as similar Red Burrito but with more options, a bit more like Chronic Taco. I bought a large bowl for about $10 and appreciated that the counter guy didn't upsell me. I did like his recommendations for sauce pairings. Also this location was very clean. Ps. Recommend bring your own utensils. The flimsy plastic forks are too small for this flavor! read more

Got one spicy chicken taco ($4). It was ok. I will say that bc the chicken sits in liquid, it did make the taco soggy (however if you eat it right away, then I think you should be fine) - I got mine to go. I did like it, but it's a little pricy for what you get. Good service though! read more

Saw this reviewed on the front page of Yelp on May 10th and decided to book mark this place for future reference. I came here before a cheap Tuesday Movie. This is one step above some of the other fast food Mexican places but don't expect anything elegant. The tacos and the filling were good and edible. The aroma of this place has permeated the mall since their opening. I took home a big assed spicy chicken burrito. It weighed about 4 pounds! Two of us ate 2/3 and I just had some of the last 1/3 next day lunch. It's the gift that doesn't stop giving. Yes, plastic cutlery would be a challenge on this monster. My relatives who live in Mexico took me all around Mexico city and each time I've had a taste of classy to mediocre but clean Mexican food. Quesada Taco is not authentic. It cannot provide the ingredients which we find in Mexican Mercado. It also depends on who serves you in terms of portions. There is a girl who worked on August 01 who served me with very little of chicken meat. It's a enough to feed a bird but not a 170 lbs. guy. My order consisted of one scoop of rice, one scoop of chicken, one scoop of veggies, with one fountain pop =$12.60 no receipt. The place just opened up this year. If you're not familiar with their menu, you're in a bind because you'll spend more for a very tiny portion. There are not many good restaurants in New West and what we get, we thought's good enough because we're desperately hungry. Not coming back here. I personally prefer quesada to chipotle because of their price, quality and service! Sizes are generous, theyre never out of ingredients, and this location is especially super accommodating to people with allergies. I went to the chipotle downtown the other day and they didnt even have guacamole or garden salad an hour before their closing... I love their habanero mayo which is is super spicy but really good! Ive been here about 5 times now and love it. It's cheaper and better than other burrito joints. Keep that up and I'll keep coming.

This is basically a fast food Mexican restaurant. It is not a terrible restaurant but is also not the greatest. Staff can be semi-pushy on stuff at times. Tuesdays are a great day to stop by i usually grab two tacos filled to the brim with whatever i like. read more

If I could rate this as 0 stars I would. We ordered Quesada from Skip the dishes last night. Our food was by far the WORST food I have tried to eat anywhere in the entire lower mainland. We had to throw the guacamole and chips out. The chips smelled and tasted as if they were cooked in rancid oil and I think the guacamole was a month old. I decided to try out Quesada because it's on my way home. I was very happy to see there were three different burrito sizes (the sizes from other like-burrito places are way too big), so I got a regular-sized one, which was still quite big. I was waiting for the "guacamole is extra" and was not disappointed. It's $1/oz, which is a lot for very little. All said, the burrito was pretty good. The service was friendly albeit hesitant (they had just opened up the week before so I'm assuming the staff were still getting into the swing of things). I would definitely eat there again but wouldn't bother getting the paltry swipe of guac. I'd rather pop over to the Safeway and get a container full instead. That's a better deal. read more

The Subway of Mexican fast food. Built in the same mold as Subway, this fast food restaurant is somewhat lacking. Considering that the restaurant only opened today, I'll withhold total judgement until I visit again next week. My beef is with the beef. Any burrito lover knows that if you want a beef burrito, it's best with shredded beef or ground beef. You don't want cubed beef (steak) in burritos because it can be tough and stringy. Quesada only has cubed beef and it was tougher and stringier than any burrito I've ever had. I couldn't chew much of it and had to embarrassingly take out the chewed bits that wouldn't break up in my mouth and dispose of them in a napkin. I only got through about a third of the burrito and had to throw the rest away. That's not the only problem - the burrito was bland and tasteless. I hate to throw food away but this was almost inedible. Definitely stick to chicken! The counter help was friendly and enthusiastic but no one could speak English very well so ordering is a bit of a challenge. read more
