    Moussaka

Divine with decent portions. Had the lamb chops which was cooked well and the moussaka was hearty for a hungry person. Get a seat by the window over looking the water. Just maybe not on a hot summer's day as they don't have AC and the glass roof turns the space into a hot house.

Restaurant with views of the Fraser River and bridges. Came here for dinner with a few friends and we were seated by the window while the sun was still up and it was nice to see it become dark. The restaurant got busy so make a reservation when visiting. I tried the roast lamb which was very tender. The potatoes it came with on the side was delicious but a little too much lemon for me. The lamb was okay. I wish I got the lamb chops. For starter I tried calamari and saganaki. They were both good. Portions are big. The roast lamb would be 2 meals for me.

We were lucky to be able to experience this Greek Restaurant before the lockdown due to the health crisis. As you can see the view from our table is amazing and especially we had the luck to view the beautiful sunset! Food is fantastic! My Lamb Chop is cooked to perfection and very tender and juicy, the marination of lemon, garlic & olive oil further enhance the flavours! The Greek Appy Platter is also a great way to try out different items if you have difficulties to decide! Service is outstanding and very professional & friendly! Kudos to Chloe & the other young lady that served us!! Soon as everything goes back to normal we will be back to enjoy their food & the great people there!!

This authentic Greek restaurant has been an icon in New Westminster for ages. Located right on Columbia street, it's easy to find. Look for their name in bright blue lights. If you're celebrating a special occasion or have out of town visitors, reserve a table by the window. Here you will get a beautiful view of the Fraser River. They were busy on the weekend which took a little longer for our food to arrive. It was worth the wait. They had a 'features' menu and I highly recommend ordering the Tarama Dip which is red caviar served with pita bread. Unusual and tasty. We ordered the moussaka, vegetarian moussaka, roasted lamb, & lamb chops. All entrees came with rice, roast potatoes, Greek salad, pita & tzatziki. Everyone loved their selections. Flavourful, fresh, and a decent portion. Great value! Our server was friendly Parking can be a bit of a challenge. Get there early! If you enjoy Greek food, this is the place!

Another AMAZING meal at Taverna Geeks. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The only issue we had was for the first time they ran out of pita bread so instead of the soft fluffy pita we were served the thin pita bread it really is a small thing but one of the people we brought that is his favorite type of pita. One of the BEST Greek food restaurants in the lower mainland and out guests loved it and they have been to Greece so the bar was set high.

I really can't find anything that I didn't enjoy on this visit! Came here with a girlfriend, on a crazy stormy night, was greeted by an elderly gentleman who was very sincere and welcoming and then seated straight away by the hostess. The view is spectacular even when it's blowing a gale! We had a nice view of the bridge and water. Server was prompt and took our drink orders straight away. The food is good old, delicious Greek food. I had the roast lamb, friend had the chicken skewer and both were thoroughly enjoyed. We shared a 1/2 litre of the Lindmans Shiraz and our meals came to just under $30 each. Superb! I'll be back when I have another hankering!

Wonderfuly light and flaky phyllo filled with layers of warm spinach. I was pleasantly surprised how warm it stayed and long the pastry remained intact and not soggy. My partner had the Greek Ribs & Chicken which came with all the Greek fixings ( rice /Greek salad / potatos / tzatziki & pita). The ribs has a nice seasoning run on them but like most Greek chicken ( I found it was quite dry). The potato's were not heavily lemoned either. It really was just a roast potato. We also had a Baklava. This was over sweet & heavy with what I found similar to the taste of black licorice or ouzo. Personally not a fan. We lucked out and got a seat to eat but most people appear to be doing take out orders and pickups here. Food takes a while to be ready so be ready to wait and eat with people sitting or standing waiting for their food. There is small side table, window counter and larger side table but there is definitely not too many places to sit. I'd recommend just puting in an order before showing up to save on waiting time. Staff was friendly despite how busy it got. Located on Hastings St. Plenty of street parking & side street parking and definitely transit friendly.

I have seen a lot of good reviews about this place and convinced our party of 8 to come try it…read moresince it's in our neighborhood and we have been looking for a new local Greek restaurant since Panos on Marine Drive closed down. Sadly, we were sooooo disappointed! We came on a Saturday evening at peak time, around 6:30pm, so granted, we expected it to be busy. We were sat nearly right away in comfortable booths with tables. The waitress brought us menus and water. So far so good! We ordered our food, nothing crazy, several got the special of the night, lamb souvlaki with potatoes rice and pita. A couple ordered the seafood pasta, one asked for red sauce instead of cream sauce and two asked for veggie lasagna's but they only had one order available. When we asked about the beers on menu, we were told each one was unavailable except for Heineken and the seasonal beer. When we asked what it was, she didn't know. She then brought the can of beer over and said she wasn't sure what type it was. Fair enough! She was young, seemed new and not quite trained with alcohol so no big deal. It gave us a giggle. It was a Granville Island radler btw. I ordered a Heineken and my friend ordered the yummy sounding spicy passionfruit margarita. My beer came fairly quick but no margarita. Then the young waitress came out to say that our food would take a bit longer to come out since they were a bit slammed with orders and asked if we wanted any appetizers. We decided we'd be ok, and decided to wait. One hour later!!!!! I'm not joking, one hour later, the margarita drink came out. Again, we noticed very young and probably newly hired staff attempting to make drinks. When this $19 drink came out, it looked like the rim of salt was touched with fingers and a lot of it was missing. However, my friend desperate for a drink or morsel of anything, decided to just have it as it came. She said it was delicious and the best thing she had. One hour and a half later!!! Our food came out. My medium rare lamb was cooked through and the pasta with red sauce came out with a cream sauce, but there was NO way we were going to send anything back as we were pretty hangry at this point. The potatoes were delicious, the rice extremely plain. All 8 of us agreed that for the price, service and quality of food, we would not be returning, although my friend said if the passionfruit drink was on the happy hour menu, she would consider it. All in all, very disappointed.

This is the "wow" for greek food. Don't get me wrong, here in Surrey you can find good Greek…read morerestaurants; but this one is well over good, it is "wow" level. Greek Fellas sets the bar for Greek food for me and it won't be an easy one for others to meet. If there were more than five stars, this restaurant and its team would deserve them all. Greek Fellas is not just a restaurant...it's a feeling, a memory, a small journey to Greece without needing a passport. From the moment you walk in, you're wrapped in warmth that is genuine, & effortless hospitality that Greeks are known for...the kind that makes you slow down, savour the moment, and stay a little longer than planned. It's rare to encounter a chef who can elevate classic Greek flavours to this level, but they have done it, and they have done it with elegance. I've had a lot of Greek food in the past and this place is hands down the best Greek restaurant in the city! The food is absolutely delicious and filled with authentic Greek flavours that really stand out. Every bite carries care, balance, and authenticity. I was a big fan of the pita bread platter (Tzatziki/Hummus/Tirokafteri & pita). The tzatziki was so creamy and refreshing, and add in the warm, pillowy pita to scoop it all up, & suddenly it's impossible to stop! I'd say the star of the show was the Original Platter and first of all, it's huge! Mouthwatering every single time I think about it! The chicken and lamb were beyond incredible! The calamari was unreal! Tender outside and wonderfully crunchy outside! The Spanakopita was so good, it deserves the spotlight. And their Greek salad is done right! The cheese dish (Saganaki) was fire, literally! Crispy edges, melty inside, with that perfect hint of lemon! I didn't think it could get much better, but it did when we were served all three of their desserts: Ek Mek, Baklava, & Bougatsa. The Ek Mek is a three-layer cake that's light & luscious! The Baklava was an exquisite blend of flaky pastry and rich nuts. The Bougatsa was a flaky, crispy pastry with a creamy custard filling! It was the perfect finale! My mouth is watering just writing this review :) Absolutely killer Greek food and flawless service in the most coziest atmosphere! We ate so well! Expect generous portions, & real Greek hospitality! But what truly made my experience exceptional was the outstanding service. The service is just phenomenal here. No joke. There are very few restaurants that have this level of service. Seriously... You feel seen, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. That kind of presence stays with you long after the table is cleared. The family behind it is as wonderful as their food -- genuine, kind, and committed to keeping their traditions alive. The quality of the food was exceptional--each dish was crafted with the freshest ingredients, and the flavours truly transport you to the Mediterranean. Our server never missed a beat, checking in at just the right moments, and making us feel so taken care of. Thank you to the chef, and staff for going above and beyond. The team and the chef together create an experience that's not just a meal -- it's a moment you'll remember long after you leave. I love the warm and welcoming interior here -- it immediately makes you feel at home. The place was packed, which just goes to show how amazing this restaurant truly is. And let's be honest--I'm not just writing this review out of the goodness of my heart. I want Greek Fellas to be packed every night so they never go out of business, and I can keep eating here forever! With its outstanding cuisine, attentive service, and charming atmosphere, it's a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking to indulge in a memorable Greek dining experience. I wish that I could carry this place back home with me. In short: Greek Fellas is the kind of place you'll want to keep secret, but it's just too good not to share. Go, eat, enjoy--and save me a seat!
