I went to Quest this morning for a blood draw, and once again, it was a very frustrating experience. Before arriving, I drank about 2 liters of water to help with the process, but it made no difference. As soon as I was called in, I clearly explained to the technician that I consistently have difficulty with blood draws. I told her that my right arm does not produce blood and that my left arm is very difficult. In my last three visits, I was stuck at least three times each time, and they always had to call the most experienced staff member to complete the draw. I even mentioned that during my last visit, they had to recline me with my legs elevated and use a hot pack on my arm just to get it done. Based on that history, I respectfully asked if I could be assisted directly by the most experienced technician. Instead of listening, she became defensive and insisted she knew what she was doing. She proceeded anyway and, as expected, was unable to draw blood. She moved the needle around repeatedly and applied excessive pressure, causing unnecessary discomfort, and still did not succeed. When I reminded her that I had explained this beforehand, she blamed my veins, saying they are too small and "move." She then insisted on trying my right arm, which I had already clearly refused because it has never worked. I had to firmly repeat that I would not allow it. At that point, she became visibly irritated. Only after all of this did she finally bring in a more experienced staff member, who was able to draw my blood successfully. This is not an isolated incident. It has become a pattern at Quest, and I have already reported similar experiences in previous surveys. This situation is completely avoidable. My request is simple: please document in my profile that I am a difficult draw and should be handled by the most experienced technician available. This would prevent unnecessary pain, repeated needle sticks, and stressful interactions for both patients and staff. On top of all this, the same technician added my credit card to my profile and set it for automatic charges without my knowledge or consent. At no point did she ask for my permission or explain that she was doing this. This is completely unacceptable and a serious breach of trust. read more

I can't believe I am giving a 5 star review to Quest of all places! I am afraid of needles but this morning was quick and painless. No stress at all. I'm an early bird so I made a 6:30am appointment online. So easy finding availability and their website is easy to navigate. They sent me a link to checkin online so there was no paperwork. I waited less than two minutes before they called me into one of the rooms. My philbotomist was Denise and she was very calming considering I am a big baby. She used a butterfly needle since I have tiny veins. Trust me when I say it was painless. Denise was awesome and I liked her a lot. Very close to FAU & the hospital. I work a few minutes away & convenience is important to me. Everything with this location of Quest is easy. Make your appointment online, then checkin online and they took me on time, maybe even a few minutes early. I was the first one here so this may be much different as the day goes on. My experience was 5 stars and I hope if you come here for labs, you will also have a positive experience. I will definitely come here again if more tests are needed. The office is clean and I felt very comfortable. Both front desk girls said good morning to me & then Denise gave me a warm greeting too. It's always a good feeling to be acknowledged and seeing such happy people at the crack of dawn was a breath of fresh air. They took all the neccessary steps to be covid compliant and you can just tell it is a priority for them to keep us all safe. read more

I was bleeding little tape and cotton ball no wrapper bandage . So cheap . I like to do and my Dr. and he send out . I was contacted by advocacy dept . I schedule an appointment at Quest Diagnostics at 1001 SW 13th Street, Suite 105 Boca Raton, Florida I scheduled my appointment on their website online for August 23rd at 1:45pm. I also entered my Insurance card, my identification which includes your birthday and year online. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (if that is not bad enough) my Neurologist, Dr.Rubin requested that I register online to get in quicker. I still had to wait 5 business day to get my blood work done. I arrived walking in with a cane. A overweight women cut in front of me almost knocking me down. I notice the electronic checkin. So now, I confirm again online, So this is my 3rd time. The electronic machine tells me to sit and wait, which I did. They called my name and I walked in. Some administrative assistant short overweight women tells me "no walk in allowed. So, finally I talk to Anette, the temporary nurse. She completed my blood work. Thank you to Annette for your HELP. Be very, very careful with this company. They sent erroneous information to my doctor. It was for a different person with my same name. Now I know that this person, has high cholesterol, low Vit D and a few other private matters that I should NOT know about. For this reason, I will not be using my regular doc, Dr. Gail Pezzullo-Burgs bc she was too inept to realize that she was giving me results from Quest Diagnostics that were not mine. read more

Staff were very friendly. I made an appointment for 8:45am and I was taken within 15-minutes of my appointment time. However, I don't think my technician was very skilled. Please see the picture below. There is no excuse for this much black and blue and pain. If he could not find the vein than tell me to come back later after I drank more water or find someone who can. The worst part is only 1 of my 4 viles of blood that were taken were good and now I need to repeat the test. I cannot express my disappointment in today's visit. read more

I had the most wonderful experience at this Quest. I had to get alot of blood taken and the referring doc didn't send the right paperwork. Sandra, the amazing team member took such good care of me. She was patient, thorough, pleasantly persistent and a great spirit. When Monica finally stuck the needle into draw the blood.. I started singing Minnie Riperton's La La La -- Loving You w the birds chirping in the background. And all 3 of us got into tune! It was hilarious and I am so grateful for this blessed moment that eased my pain. I will go there forever bc of this magical experience. read more

I had a wonderful visit today! The phlebotomist was a lovely lady with an endearing personality! The blood draw was quick and painless. Although the waiting room was full, the line moved fast and I was seen within 30 minutes after checking in. I really liked the check-in process where I was able to check in using the texting system and wait in the car until they texted me that it was my turn. I also liked that they told you on the TV in the waiting room, which position you were in line and approximately how many minutes you had left to wait. Very pleasant experience overall and would recommend this facility. Nice, clean, and efficient. read more

If I could give a review of a -100 I would do that. It is definitely not safe in there. No social distancing rules social distancing do not exist. Do not enter this location or make an appointment in this location because your appointment will not be honored. I made an appointment 2 weeks ago for 930 today. I sat in my car waited for them to call me and it got to be 9:45 and no one called me. I decided to go inside and see what was going on. This little tiny office was full of 20 people in a less than 10 foot area. They are taking too many walk-ins. They should honor the appointments at the appointment time. They say they take appointments in priority, which is a bunch of bull. They have way too many walkins.There should be no walk-ins during this time of crisis. I hope to God I did not get sick. I was in there for maybe five minutes just to see what was going on and I walked out. I never got my blood test. No social distancing whatsoever. Disgusting That a medical facility would not follow the rules and act in this manner. They have no Regard for this pandemic that we are going through. If they did they would only require that you make an appointment. And that they should have someone checking you before you actually go into their office. I was late because there was no parking available and had to wait 15 minutes for a space. Because I was over 10 minutes late, they took away my appointment status. So, the monitor originally said I would have to wait an additional 15 minutes.in the waiting room. All the appointment times were automated. You check in on a touch screen and like airport stand-bys, you wait your turn but can see where you are on the list that is displayed on a monitor. Very impressive....Even though I ended up waiting longer than the monitor predicted, the time went by because you are able to watch TV while waiting. The location was very busy on a Monday afternoon. That was surprising. Guess mid-week would have been a better choice for an appointment. I had to fast for the bloodwork. The added 45 minutes before they too me made it very difficult for me because it was almost 3 PM and I had not eaten all day. Once they call your name, you have to wait again inside. Word to the wise...made you appointment mid-week and mid-day. Once they took me in, it was painless and very quick. In all...I got out at 3:10 for a 2:00 appointment. Horrible place to go! I walked in close to 9:30 am and by 11:45 I walked out without doing my test. When I walked in, I signed in and sat down. Next to my name there was a time stating how long my wait time is. However my time kept changing from 5 min wait to 16 min or 24 min as people with appointment walked in. I thought they must have a system that they dealing with walk ins. Well they don't. No one would come to talk to you. When I called someone for help they ignored me and after a while they told me right now we are only working on appointments after almost 2 hours of wait. There was no signs stating that! why I was not informed when I walked in or after one hour. NO ONE there cares. No one has the considerations in this place. Awful place to go to! read more

This is by far the worst location of Quest I have ever been to. It is the only place I can to per my insurance and it is very unfortunate! They are unorganized, slow, unfriendly, and just overall terrible. I made an appointment and still waited about 40 minutes for hem to finally see me and kept blaming other workers for that. The place was packed with people waiting yet only one person was being seen at a time and it appeared all workers went on lunch can at the same time with a waiting room full of people. This was one of the most stressful experiences at a lab I've ever had. Go to the 18th street and powerline location over this one any day! read more

As a physician and patient I have never seen such a disorganized lab with staff who have zero skill with filing insurance claims. Routine CBC's and other standard orders are always covered by both of my carriers and always have been in the past at other locations such as Lab Corp. The staff in the supervisory department are completely unprofessional, rude and seem to lack the basic overall knowledge on not only insurance filing but lack of understanding with diagnostic coding that is very basic for any medical office. I would not recommend in anyway whatsoever and the one star above is actually negative one in my mind but there's no option to list . Never again. read more

This is the worst quest diagnostics. The workers do not respect the time of your appointment. I was an hour earlier and they still did not respect my appointment time. The workers do not help or even give you information. I had my appointment code and they said that I need my QR code. later I found out that it is the same thing. All they had to do is tell me i had to put in on the computer. The worker that was attending, purposely called someone else instead of my name because she knew it was me. They do not help the older people who ae not good with technology and even give them the right information. There was an older gentleman who was told to go to another location that is permanently closed because the workers were careless and did not verify that they were telling him the right information. It was not just me who was who is really unsatisfied with the service, every one with the waiting room was being psychologically abused by the workers. The worker threw the door in my face because she simply did not want to explain what i need to do. The one who took my blood was so rushed and careless that for the first time in my life it hurt to get blood taken out. If you are able to avoid this place please do, same your time and stress, because these people seem like they hate their life and are taking it out on a job that is very important and not to be messed with. Had an appointment today and I must say, this place was on point. Walked in, signed my name and then sat down. Less than three minutes into my wait time, my name was called. Showed my insurance card and signed my initials. Shuffled over to a well lit room and the phlebotomist was just behind me. They are pleasant, fast and in about all of ten minutes or less, I was in my car heading home. I know that these places are not generally places people wish to go, however I found my experience to be very good. read more

First my doctor sent 7 vials of my blood for testing. 6 of the 7 were either lost or spilled by Quest Labs so I had to go to Quest to give blood. I had an 11:00 appt. As of now 11:15 I have not been spoken to. The waiting room is full & they say they give priority to appts yet nothing so far. I've been told this East Boca location is the busiest. Parking is tough with only valet as an option & the valets will ask you for a tip. Overall not a good experience & I am still waiting. read more
