I've found Quest in general to be really slow at getting results. At UCI Health whenever I do lab works most everything I get same day results. Quest is always 4-7 days from my experience. Which is just really slow in my opinion. read more

This is a horrible Quest. Do not bother to go here. It is a nightmare! Note: they are closed 11:00 am to 12:00. They did not even bother to open the door and greet us. They unlocked the door and just bolted. It was not friendly. Another customer wanted to use the restroom. She asked while a customer was being taken into the back, they ignored her. They paid no attention to her request to get the code/key she was pregnant. They came back and then was harassing the customer telling her she has to wait. The rudeness continues. I would skip this place and leave but I have a fasting blood test. I don't recommend this Quest location. I am listening to the TV they have in the lobby and they say how wonderful it is to use there services, this is a joke. I have checked in 3 times and still have not been allowed in. Went in for routine fasting labs and hormones, this Quest location either lost or never sent my blood according to a manager I spoke to. I went back in again yesterday for a second redraw, took off work, fasted & apparently that blood clotted. They just called me again to ask me to come back in this morning for ANOTHER redraw! It shouldn't take 3 appointments to draw 5 vials of blood. Super disrespectful to people's time away from work and lives. As a nurse, this was really a disappointing experience. Very UNWELCOMING atmosphere. No staff to check in while their online booking and check in was a failure. Trying to talk to someone was almost impossible. I come here 4 times a year for regular bloodwork and have always been happy with the service I gave received. The staff members are so friendly and make an uncomfortable experience not so uncomfortable. Today I had my bloodwork done with a butterfly needle and could hardly feel it. It's nice to be cared for by staff that do their best to make your experience a good one. I love that I can book an appointment and I've never had to wait beyond 5 minutes upon arriving. They are quick and efficient! Not that bloodwork is my favorite thing to do but when I have to do it, this is my place. Thanks to the staff for always being so kind and courteous. read more

I use a walker. It's very difficult to get around. After a major mistake at WesPac Labs in S. J. C. I rushed to take a chance at Quest in Dana Point. !! I was desperate for my lab work!! Otherwise it would take months to reschedule my doctors. The staff was totally booked for the day! Ugh. I decided to take a chance and waited. I fasted from 9pm to approximately 2 ish. The young girls were great. Professional, personable, really lovely. They never stopped!! What a full day for them. They showed patients how to sign in, drew blood, took urine samples all the while being so positive!! I can't say enough good things about this lab and the personnel who staff it. Thank you. TERRIBLE SERVICE! 40 minutes delayed when we had set up an appointment . No front desk receptionist/ they literally built A WALL!!!! (they said privacy issues, but all or most medical facilities have a front desk to check in) They got rid of the screen where we could see who is next, (that was great when they had it!) So no where to see that the system didn't have us even when we received confirmation by text. 17 people arrived after us and were seen before us, and no staff member to ask! Since I had an early appointment elsewhere I left. I returned at 10:40 and there was someone in the front office this time. She said I couldn't wait, they couldn't take me because they were closing for lunch in 9 minutes. At 10:40 a.m.!!! What kind of customer service is that??? Well, I am here for a SCHEDULED 3 hour glucose test and the facility has no glucose...this is a SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT whereby the tests required are input at the time of making the appointment. I went for a routine blood draw. The stout, grey-haired staff member in attendance, acted officious put-out, and cranky. Computers and dealing with the public do not appear to be her forte; she was inefficient and slow. She couldn't find my order in the computer, and I was asked to call (and disrupt) my doctor's practice, and request a resend. Meanwhile, someone else was able to locate the order in the computer. While these kinds of glitches are cursory and inconsequential, I found her demeanor brusque and unpleasant. Furthermore, she was hacking and clearing her throat to an extent that made me suspect it was either a nervous habit or a serious infection. Either way, it was unsettling. On the other hand, the blood draw itself was performed expertly and expediently by an upbeat, engaging phlebotomist whose name (as I recall) starts with an M. She is a delight, and thankfully, was able to dispel some of the prior unpleasantness. read more

If there was a negative star I would give it to them. The place is old and under staffed. I came in as a walk in at 6:50am. I checked in and the system said to sit down and wait till I was called. More and more walk ins came in and proceeded to go in front of me. I waited a while to get anyone's attention and they said I wasn't in the system. So I reregistered and waited till 8:25 am! At this point I'm starving bc I fasted and the room is full at this point. They said it could be up to 5hrs! I could have driven to Arizona at this point. I decided to leave and go to the location at Mission Viejo Hospital. I should have just driven there in the first place, I walked in, the place is super clean, and I was in and out in 10 min. Lessons learned, even though this ghetto place was a mile away from me, the extra 10 min drive would have saved me the time wasted. Omg these people are so rude and seem resentful of having to do the bare minimum. It's actually astounding how annoyed they are just to answer a simple question or acknowledge your existence. Quest clearly doesn't like walk-ins. It takes weeks to get a fasting appointment so you have to come in as a walk in. They make you wait even though there is NO ONE else in the building waiting. You wait. Then wait some more. Then someone finally walks in with an appointment and are seen. They're in the back chit chatting with no one back there. I walk up and waited behind another gal to ask a question about my bloodwork request being sent in and she looked at me and then called someone else's name. I walked up anyway and she said, "Do you have a question?" I wanted to check and see if my additional bloodwork request had been received. She said she couldn't look it up until it was my turn. That's never happened before. So I walked away to allow the gal that she had just called to come to the window. She was very rude and condescending. Then she appeared at the door I was sitting directly facing and called that same gal. I made eye contact with her and she gave me side eye and tried to slam the door but it wouldn't slam because it's on hydraulics. They should wear name badges so you can report them to corporate. The gal in front of me had been here for over an hour and no one else was there when I got there but her. We are both fasting. She said she waited from 6:30am until 11am the day before and they made her leave so they could go take their lunch break. The employee then called my name and asked across the room who my doctor was. I gave the name. She said the request was there and then said, "Just so you know, you're a walk-in, so you're going to have to wait at least 2 hours. I looked around and said, "Why? There is nobody here?" So I'm thinking now that's just what she is going to do. See to it that I wait as long as she had said. They're lunch is at 11am so I suppose they will then make me leave. She said they only see walk-in's if they get a cancellation. I've been coming here every few months for years. I've never experienced this. I've also never seen her before. She is a brunette with a sloppy bun on her head wearing black scrubs. She was miserable. So I had no choice but to leave. I understand that people with appointments take priority but I was treated like I am some entitled jerk for being a walk-in. I hope she is retrained so she learns to be kind and not hold a grudge just because someone is a walk-in. read more

My experience at this quest and the customer service was terrible. They were incredibly rude and showed no interest or ability to address my concerns or help solve a scheduling issue. The check-in system is antiquated and inefficient. They do not seem to care and in a health care industry with amazing people, they stand out for their apathy. Their representative booked my appointment for me and doesn't have any form of listening skills. I stated I wanted the 9am appointment, I get there 10 minutes before 9. Sat in the waiting room for over 40 minutes. Their front desk assistant is barely at the station, many people in the waiting room are needing assistance. She's snarky at elderly people asking for help, barely at her position, and not even in the least bit helpful. I was now put on standby when I had an appointment booked, their representative booked my appointment for the time frame I didn't agree with. I've now come 3 times to try and get my blood work done and I leave again with my time wasted I've now spent over 6 hours trying to get my tests done. The front desk "assistant" doesn't do anything remotely assisting besides for making sly and snarky remarks back at people. I wouldn't go to this location they'll screw you over and over and over. read more

The lab itself and the people who work there are great. My problem is with the phone system. I wanted to call the office to see if I left my driver's license there and you absolutely cannot talk to a person. I spent 20 minutes trying every choice before finally calling the main Quest customer service line. After waiting on hold there, a very nice woman took all my info, called them herself only to find they weren't picking up. You aren't allowed to have the phone number I guess. Her advice to me was to go back in person the next day. Extremely irritating because they could save me a trip just by talking to me for 2 minutes. read more

Came here for lab work and witnessed a rather bad situation where the lady at the front desk failed to handle her customers in a professional manner. I couldnt see her name tag but she was talking to everyone at a very loud voice and arrogant tone. I was ignoring all that to wait for turn and saw her yelling at an older man coming in to drop off sample. She was giving him a LOT of attitude, situation got worse when she misheard his DOB hence couldnt find his order. She told him she couldn't take his sample and theres nothing she could do about it. He pointed out - how could he got all the container and got his other tests done in the morning if there was no order. She responded with "I wasnt here in the morning and I didnt handle your order so it is not my fault". That is such an irresponsible response. Her name is Tracy/ Tracie - not sure how to spell it since I asked for her name from the Technician who drew my blood. Idk if review will help this site improve its quality of service at all but please, do try. People who come to you already have their own battle with their health condition. All they need is a little bit of empathy and professionalism. read more

Worst experience ever!! I got my blood drawing today to refill my meds! The lady who has black hair and tan is lazy and rude. She forced me to get my blood work on the hair. I was so uncomfortable getting my blood drawing on the chair. I wanted to lay on the bed and she ignored me. She began to draw my blood on the chair and I began passed out and getting dizzy.
