I don't know how this place has 2 stars. I've been coming here for years and I've never had a problem. Phlebotomists know what they're doing and I never feel a thing. Receptionists are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. With an afternoon appt I'm in and out within 15-20 min. I made a huge mistake a few months ago and went to another location in Glendale and had a terrible experience so today I came back to my original location and everything went as expected. The following is a true story: "My husband had an appointment for 8:30 AM on Wednesday, July 8, at the Chevy Chase facility in Glendale, CA. When we arrived, there were lines of patients in the hallway. We went into the room and I went to the kiosk to present my Q code and was shown a statement that stated our wait would be 30 minutes. I found an empty chair for my elderly husband and I stood beside him. I was told to leave because I could not stay in the room. I informed them that my husband was easily confused and would not be able to hear his name being called. I was told that they will come out to the hall to call his name. In the hallway, many folks were complaining about the long wait. One gentleman got there at 7:00 AM and at 8:30 AM, he was still in line. He said they didn't want him to sign up when he arrived and now everyone else was signing up before him. After thirty minutes, I asked a gentleman why the long wait since we had an appt. He was very confused and kept shuffling multiple papers in his hands telling some folks to get into the room and telling others to join another line. He said he would check for me. I heard nothing else. Close to 10:00 AM, I asked again why I had waited for close to one and a half hours for an 8:30 AM. He said, again, that he would check. A little later a young woman came out asking for "Alphonse." She had been out twice before asking for "Alphonse." When she came out the third time, I inquired about the name. "Are you asking for "Adolf?" She quickly looked down at her notes and said, "You, come in here. Now!" Some folks standing in line with me gasped at her tone of voice. I entered the waiting room and brought my husband to the room where his blood would be drawn. She mentioned that they would also need a urine specimen. Since I knew my husband did not comprehend what she was asking, I gave him the instructions to urinate after the blood was drawn. I then asked her what all this "Alphonse" was about. At that moment she doubled down and said I should have KNOWN she was calling my husband. Really??!! Seriously??!! At that, I told her to stop and get to work and draw my husband's blood because he is a diabetic and had been without food for many hours. At that point, she closed the door on me, and I was separated from my husband! This is customer service? This isn't even safe medical practice. Oh, and the other incidentals? No one took our temperatures, and no one asked for my husband's I.D. or insurance information." read more

Honestly, I don't know what people are so wired up about...I had a very pleasant experience giving blood (which i absolutely HATE to do).... the receptionist was very polite and just a chill girl. The nurse who took my blood, Blanca, was great and really made me forget about the fact that i has a needle in my arm. The only bad part was the waiting, but considering that i was a walk in, 35 minutes of waiting was fine with me. The process itself didn't take longer than 15 minutes and it was painless and pleasant (I can't believe i'm saying this about giving blood, but it's true). The place itself wasn't all that great as it is in the basement of the building, but it's NOT broken down building after Armaggedon like someone mentioned, plus i believe this is a new location for Quest. The only bad part was finding it becuase it doesn't say anywhere to go to the basement and was a bit difficult to find unless you ask someone for directions. read more

If I could give a negative 100 review I would. The most disorganized, ridiculous system ever. I've been to the Quest on central and always got pleasant people and the walk ins and appointments were run so much smoother. This lab seems to overbook and walk ins are continuously shoved to the bottom of the list. The blood draws took so long I was convinced they were performing open heart surgery and not drawing blood. Aggressive rude employees who made this experience absolutely awful. Never again. Get it together! If you have a system that actually works you won't have a waiting Room filled with folded up hostile people. read more

Quest made a bad choice when selecting this real estate location. It's underground so you have absolutely no service. The wait is super long and they don't offer wi-fi. They should invest in offering Internet to patients waiting and maybe hiring some more staff so the process can be faster. read more

There is no available appointment date for 10 days in future. When doctor telling to go make the test and only option is your company. And no way to make appointment. Your rude stuff with angry voice yelling on us that we should take an appointment before coming. They attacking about 80years old women with cancer because she don't have appointment and asking to seat somewhere because can not stand and wait after 2 hours of waiting time. read more

I can't believe this place is still open. I went here yesterday to take blood tests before surgery and the woman taking my blood was disgusting and rude. I get very scared of needles so I passed out and she did not even ask if I was ok or seem bothered by it. I asked her to walk me to the bed so I can lie down and she refused. She just said "room 4" and I was unable to find it myself since I was so dizzy and my vision was blurry. Some other nurses came to check on me since I was very pale but she just proceeded to go on the computer and sit there. I have never seen such careless and unprofessional people in my life. I will never return to this location again. This woman needs to be fired immediately!!! read more

This lab is falling apart quickly. Total miss management of the waiting line, letting people in before one another. Simple question to be answered requires you to wait for an hour to get an answer and then they apologizing that I have too many patients they can't deal with while there's only one patient before me and one after me. read more

Tomorrow I have appointment with my doctor and today I found out that only my urine test results in and my blood work after walking around with bruises from blood work not completed somehow it's missing . I'm leaving a review so I remember where to go next time I need my blood drawn. Everyone I encountered here was super friendly. Marta was my phlebotomist, and she was absolutely amazing at it. It barely hurt at all. Best of all, she kept me distracted with fun conversation. I was surprised when it was over. It's been a couple hours, and there's no bruise forming or anything. Terrible service! Rude ladies working the desk. Incopetitent flaboutemists. I went to get blood drawn for a test I was having, only to wait 20 minutes then be told the two ladies who were there that they didn't know how to do the test. That the lady who knows how to answer the questions wasn't here. So I left to return the following day and wait another 20 minutes to be only helped by the same person who originally told me they didn't know how to do this test. I was in and out in no time at all. That staff was polite and well organized. Lilit was thoughtful and made it a pleasant experience.

Terrible. Wouldn't let me drink water before my test. "It will dilute the sample". I couldn't provide enough of a sample. They made me waste another hour and a half there drinking water every 15 minutes. Should have told me to drink and wait 15 instead of not letting me then making me waste an hour an a half. Normally I would complain about the wait but I didn't have a appointment so understandable, I was going to make a review from Thursday once I saw the women review about this young lady I know who's she's talking about I was there; and the women isn't innocent, she started yelling at the worker, telling her "to go get educated" even after the worker apologized for her mistake!!!! Not once but twice!! Took her husband in right away after knowing she messed up on the name!!! But if I was the worker I would of refuse service on them both since the wife was so rude to her!!! Mind you this worker kept her calm until the women told the worker to "shut her mouth and just do her job!" Man thank god the young lady kicked that old women out!!! Do not go here. The nurses are rude and disorganized, and I had bruises on both arms for over a week. She put the needle in my arm, and when blood stopped coming out, she was fishing the needle around in my vein and pressing on it while it was still in my arm. Very painful. She took it out and did the same thing to the other arm. I will never go back to this location. read more

So far the worst Quest I have ever been to. They are always understaffed and whatever staff they have are unprofessional and rude. Usual wait time for drop off is 5-10 minutes in other places, here is at least one hour. They are so unorganized that lost my paperwork twice. I will never go back to this location again. read more

I made an appointment for my daughter to get blood tests which were requested by her neurologist. We went at the scheduled appointment time and were taken relatively quickly, but there were people in the waiting room who had been waiting a very long time, and the lab workers were very rude to those people. Once we got into the testing room, they took the test form from the doctors office and said that they couldn't find the valid codes. They called the neurologist office and asked for the correct codes. The office reached out for/to the doctor in charge, and were told that she was not available. The quest lab workers gave the phone number of the lab to the front desk worker and told her to call back once they had the test codes. In the meantime, we sat in the room and waited. 20 minutes later we had to leave, so I picked up my insurance card from where the worker had just left it on her computer stand and we left. There were no workers anywhere around to talk to. When I called the doctors office to get clarification on the codes she gave all the codes to me very readily. Then she said that when she tried to call back to the quest lab their phone voicemail is not set up so there is no opportunity to leave a message. Once I got the test codes, we made an appointment at a different quest lab location and everything was very smooth and everyone was very pleasant. The Chevy Chase location is not recommended. read more

Fast computerized check in. Got in at 1pm as a walk in and got out in less than 30 minutes. Courteous staff and clean area. I always comes to get my blood and urine sample taken all the time and did not have any inconvenience at all and close to my house too. read more

Worst service!! Employees talk to each other about personal things. They ignore patients. One employee said she prays every morning to keep her from harms way from patients???? Walked in with a appointment had me wait 10 minutes. Then they tell me they can't read the drs handwriting and can't get a hold of him and that I need to leave. I have to get routine lab tests every month and I come here because it is closest to my house. I have had multiple bad experiences, including being stabbed numerous times by inexperienced staff for a routine blood draw. The last couple times I have been were relatively painless trips, for a urine test they would just hand me a cup and send me in. Today though, all patients were met with some serious attitude. With only 2 nurses working, the place was seriously understaffed, and after my name being called I walked towards the bathroom as usual. I was immediately yelled at (in a quiet waiting room) and told to go to the patient rooms because this "was procedure". I tried to ask the nurse if it was a new procedure but she continued to talk to me with attitude and completely interrupted me asking me to spell my last name. I told her that last time I had been in she just handed me a cup and I was curious what changed. She claimed it wasn't her and then scolded me saying there were multiple African Americans working there. Excuse me??? Just because your African American doesn't make ME a racist that can't tell you apart. Coming there for over a year , I am aware of the staff and who works there and I think my memory is much better than hers if she doesn't recognize me. Terrible service, long waits, and to top off the horrible experience you will likely endure, the staff here is incredibly rude nearly every time I have been in. I understand you deal with rude patients all day but to treat someone the way I was treated is total BS. I would give 0 stars if possible. read more

I will NEVER go here again. I took my grandmother there to get blood work done and the staff was not only rude but didn't wear gloves and placed her cotton swab in the dirty counter then used the same swab to wipe my grandmas arm. I asked if the counters are sanitized she replied "yuuuup" but there was no sign of sanitation ANYWHERE!!! I have never been so mortified in my life. I asked for an alcohol prep pad and she refused!!! These phlebotomists need to be reeducated or fired! Disgraceful. Not to mention totally careless with their patients!!!!! read more

THE GIRLS HERE ARE RUDE. They were absolutely rude to my grandma they gave her the wrong testing cup or what ever to use but then they (all three little b*tches) blamed her for using the wrong cup even though they gave it to her how the hell would she even get this cup without them giving it to her? She wasn't even behind the counter or anything & why the hell would she steal the bottle?they were practically attacking her, it was ridiculous. All they do is talk to each other & when you ask them a question they seemed bothered that you would even talk to them. They have the worst attitudes & worst customer service skills! Do not come here! I'm making sure my grandma NEVER comes here again I'll take her to a different place I don't care how much farther it is. They forget that the customers in the waiting area are mostly sick or patients of doctors that have told they have to give blood for tests. We are not there to be ridiculed. I wish I would have looked up this location before I went for my bloodwork. the standard of hygiene at this laboratory is very concerning. the screen to check yourself in was very dirty and looked like it has not been cleaned in a while. I asked kindly to be checked in, but the person at the counter refused to do so and mentioned that I should use the self check in. I showed him how filthy the screen was and he got me at least some gloves. but he was clearly annoyed by it. after a while i got called in and asked the staff which room...she was very annoyed by my questions and replied: we told you to go to room 1! same filthy conditions in the treatment room. I asked to have something to cover the armrest...she replied that they usually don't use anything to cover it and pulled out a piece of paper out of the printer to cover the armrest. on top she was yelling constantly something in Spanish to her colleagues...very rude and unprofessional staff and most concerning is the hygiene standards at the laboratory! I highly recommend to avoid this place! read more

Came in straight after lunch, signed sheet, they called me up 40 mins later asking for my doctors request and asked me to sit and said it would be almost another hour!!! These workers come in late from lunch, take their time, don't show any remorse and don't even care that you are starving and it's late afternoon!!!!! 3pm and still waiting!!!!! read more

If there is any indication of the type of people "working" here and the type of business they run I should have known better when you have to go to the basement to find them. From the front desk punk chewing on who knows what and referring to you as "bro" to the lab person who refers to you as "darling" this lab is a complete joke. All the employees talk about in the open space is what they're going to eat tomorrow and the rest of the week. The hours they post are different from the hours for "special" services and they don't have any record of who made an appointment. Not only where they rude but they do not know how to draw blood there they hurt my son and said it was because he was moving but never once did he flinched. This quest ROTS.. I have never seen more chaos in my life.. I have appt, and quest has no rules, it is like quest picked some day workers up by home depot for the day!!! Got to the room after walking threw the war path, then the lady leaves the door open starts taking my blood then another patient walks in with her pee cup nice and filled sits it on the counter next to me talks for a minute and leaves.
