I had such a bad experience here. I tried making an appointment online only for the system to say that that appointment slot was already booked and to choose another time. So, I did, but every time I did I got the same error message. Then, about 5 minutes later all of the time slots that I had chosen were "accepted" and I got about 10 emails and text messages saying that my appointment was confirmed. I'm not sure if I ever did have an actual appointment but I went to this location anyways since I had to get a screening done before a certain day. When I went I wasn't able to ask anyone what was happening with their online system since you are only able to check in at a kiosk and there is no person working at the desk. After the time had passed that my appointment was for I tried asking someone working there what was going on (as they were walking another patient out) but they said to just wait. Eventually, I was able to be seen even though they claimed that I had never made an appointment even though I got a verifying text message and the kiosk even scanned my ID. When I was finally seen it was very rushed and I could barely understand what was going on and what I was supposed to do since the woman helping me was talking so fast. Overall, would highly recommend not going here if you can help it, although I've heard the Park Ridge, Peterson Ave and Milwaukee Ave locations are not much better. read more

My son needs to do annual blood testing for his allergies and his allergy dr always sends us to quest diagnostics. Last year I made an appointment and still had to wait forever once we got there. I remember thinking I would never go back yet I found myself back there today so my bad for not learning my lesson. We made an appointment and arrived right on time for our 1120am appt. I fed him his lunch on the car so we could get his blood drawn (never fun with a kid) and then get him back to school by 1225 for class. We checked in on the kiosk when we got there and there were a few people waiting. I wasn't alarmed until they told me they had been waiting for over an hour for their scheduled appointment. So what's the point of making an appointment ahead of time??? Slowly they called people in. These were fast appointments (mostly blood tests or drug tests), but they would wait about 20 minutes between patietns to bring them in. We ended up being one of the lucky ones having to only wait 45 minutes. As we walked in a young man said "I need to get back to work so is there any way i can go first. all i have to do is piss in a cup." Unfortunately, i too had to get back to work and my son had to get to school so we apologized and promised to go as fast as possible. My son isn't the biggest fan of needles, but think he was sick of waiting too and put on his bravest face possible. The woman (nurse?0 who took his blood was kind and pretty friendly. I asked if it's typical to wait so long and she said yes so based on that alone I plan to go to another blood center next time. I recommend you do the same unless you don't mind sitting in the waiting room for a very long time for a 3 minute appointment. read more

Blood draw was completed, but the specimen was later confirmed to be lost. As a result, no results were delivered and the test had to be repeated.Communication was poor and resolution required multiple follow-ups. Losing a medical specimen is a serious failure and should not happen in a diagnostic facility. read more

Returned container 24 hours later and got into argument about who had the Doctor's order..... If you have to deal with Quest, pick another location...... read more

One of the worst and most frustrating experiences I ever had! Literally spent over 5 hours trying to get a simple blood test. My doctor called the order in, you could see the e-order right in my account, but because I had to cancel and reschedule the first time, the order was not in an area where the tech could access and input it. I was able to show her exactly where it was but she said there was nothing she could do because she couldn't access it on her end even though it was completely visible. The kicker is I had to call them twice before even going to the appointment and waited on hold for over 40 minutes both times so that they could fix this prior to going to the appointment. They made the appointment for me in their end! I get to the appointment and wait TWO hours to be told I can't get the test. I called their number AGAIN! The recording said it was a 5-10 minute wait and then switched to 10-20 and then 20-40 and then more than 40. Seriously! What kind of business is this. Horrible, horrible experience and now I have to get my doctor to send the order somewhere else and spend more time for one simple blood test. So 5 hours later and no blood test and will NEVER go back there again. Worst customer service ever. Everyone there was saying a 2 hour wait even though we all had an actual appointment time. please do not go here. they will make you wait for hours. my appointment was at 11am, and by 12:30, they still didn't take me. severely understaffed and there is no one to talk to in the waiting room. horrible experience. They also say you can get a blood test without a doctor sending you but that's only if you plan to pay out of pocket for all of it. I hate our medical system. read more

After 50min of wait she came out and said "just wait, my colleague will take you soon" I forgot to mention, they were not even busy! Not helpful. Staff definitely doesn't want to help or do more than the minimum required. Had appointment and showed up early. They took someone that, per their electronic check in board, had an appointment 10 min after me AND, she came after me. I was at quest for an hour, with an appointment and I only needed one simple blood draw. Also, they say they take walk ins. I came the day before and was turned away for a simple blood draw when there was no one being serviced (per their electronic board) and they were still supposedly opened for 20 more minutes. The person (that was turning away another person in the waiting room) just looked and me and said "see if you can check in" and walked away, through the door and the shades at the desk were drawn. If they're going to stop taking patients at 2:45pm, then that's what their hours should reflect. Also, they must not need the business. I am a medical professional and know how things should work. I will definitely be seeking service elsewhere. read more

The waiting room is small. During these times, there are no rules posted or chairs removed to ensure people are 6+ feet apart. The check in kiosk is not routinely wiped down. There's hand sanitizer there. No one works at the front desk and they claim no one answers the phone or is there to assist due to COVID testing. If they staff appropriately, patients can get what they need. I had my blood drawn and they didn't send me away with the appropriate items so I had to go back AFTER being on the phone for 30 mins to determine how to attain what I needed efficiently. I ended up having to back to the Glenview location just to be told I needed to wait by the phlebotomist and then the woman who was off break having an attitude that I asked her a question. If you have an option in the NorthShore area, just pick ANY other location. read more

There was no wait and the two women there could not have been nicer. I was in and out in 10 minutes. They were kind and efficient. They were the only two there so I'm sure if it was busy it could get messy but my experience was very good. read more

Shawnee has so professional and kind. When I placed my appointment, I accidentally did not go through all the steps, so it showed I did not have an appointment. Shawnee was so nice and took me anyway since there was no one in the waiting room. The blood draw was so efficient, I was out in less than 10 minutes. read more

Today I went to Quest Diagnostics in Glenview, hoping to get a blood test. Everything seemed fine at first, with rapid check-in, which I was able to do from my car. Once I stepped indoors, though, it was a different story. A woman who was not wearing a mask let me in and directed me to room one. I went into the room, and she followed me; she was obviously the one who was going to draw my blood, and there didn't seem to be anybody else there, anyway. I was wearing a mask, and I politely asked her to wear one. She replied, "we don't have to wear masks anymore." I said, "but I'm asking you to." Her reply was, "it's my decision whether or not I wear a mask." I said, "then I'm leaving." She said, in a careless sort of way, "OK." In print, it is impossible to convey how rude and dismissive she was. Is this their idea of customer service? So what if she doesn't "have to" wear a mask? What's the point of making people uncomfortable, especially customers? I will never, ever go back to Quest again. read more

Perfect place to go if you want to know what it is like to be treated less then human. The women working was one of the rudest people I have ever met, I would rather have to go in to the middle of downtown during rush hour rather than let anyone I know be treated like this. I have had blood drawn here twice. I am usually a fainter and have to lie down and have the lights dim to get through the ordeal. The phlebotomist here is a "good stick" and got it done with minimal discomfort and I was able to sit up. read more

Do NOT go for your children!! I went last week with my 4 year old and had a terrible experience. 2 ladies walked into the room to draw my son's blood. After they started is when I realized that one was a student and one was a teacher. The student had no clue what she was doing. She tried drawing blood, couldn't find the vein so started fishing deeper around to find the vein. That is when my 4 year old lost it. He was doing so great until she kept going deeper to find the vein. Then she whispered "I can't get it" to the teacher. The teacher pulled out and had to try the other arm because the student messed up the vein so bad. The teacher used the other arm and got it within one second. They should NOT be practicing on children!!!! They didn't even seem to care about hurting him so bad. They just kept saying what good patient he was because he let them try again.
