If I could rate Quest lower I would. This is not the first time I experience their awful service and sub standard personnel ( not everyone). unfortunately my doctor's office must have a contract with them but I refuse to go back there. Lauren/Laura could not find the vein n stuck the needle in my muscle! I ended up with a hematoma,a swollen arm and pain all the way to my shoulder! She called somebody else and the second person had no issues. It is a hit and miss at that Lab on Beach and Yorktown. I recommend find another Lab! read more

Receptionist and a front desk were created for a reason. Don't depend on the technicians and nurses to handle scheduling and appointments. I booked an appointment, had the confirmation email but the check in didn't work or recognize it. waited forever there was no one to talk to once I grab someone from inside. Inexperienced blood drawer couldn't find vein, missed it, and had to poke needle around in my arm to get blood. Eventually after low blood flow, she removed it and went to the other arm. Not at all what I expect from a place whos one job is to draw blood. read more

My office experience today was terrible. A young woman named Mya took me back and was extremely rude to me. I told her I'm not sure what bloodwork the doctor is requesting but I have a hyperthyroid issue so please do all of it and she was belittling me like I was 5 years old. Have the worst scheduling system on phone - so antiquated is very hard to make appointment. Stuck listening to a horrible recorded voice that tells you goodbye constantly. The Quest service also is horrible. If you can't get an appointment on lousy phone service and you go to the offices, they treat you like dirt and make faces and tell you that you have a long wait. Have been to many over the years and only one that's too far away is OK. A horrible service run by horrible people. read more

I came in, I had an appointment, but had to call my doctor to get my lab request. The lady said she would call me in a bit and never called me. Then my name disappears from the status screen. I walked to the door to ask if the received my lab request. The lady was a bit rude didn't tell me but said sorry we cancel you out after 2-3 hours that's how long you've been waiting right? I said no 1 hour oh well you have to check in again. Then I waited and my name disappeared again. I normally would not do a bad review because I know sometimes people are busy and just need a break. BUT... While I waited a man that had the same issue with needing his doctor to fax it over was called and he asked the same lady to check the fax and she let him right in. After having a rough experience at the location by my house, I was desperate to get an appointment for a lab drop off. This location had an appointment so I drove the distance. They had some staffing issues and there was a bit of a wait, but unlike other locations, they had a screen that showed you were you were at in line and their staff communicated to all of the folks in the waiting room. They were apologetic that there was an unexpected wait and appeared to really be working to get everyone in. In speaking with the staff member who helped me, they shared that they were covering from another lab location due to some medical emergencies with staff. They shared just enough to let us know they cared - which is tricky with the Quest kiosk check in system. Great staff in a nice clean space inside the Hoag building. Easy to park too! Overall, one of the better lab experiences I've had - even with the delayed wait time. read more

Trying to get my results from the website is terrible. I successfully went thru the website's ID verification process, front and back of drivers license and face photo. I was then directed to go to the website on my desktop. Still no test results available because my ID needed to be verified, did it again three times, still same result. Lorna was amazing!!! I have had a terrible needle phobia ever since I was 5 and I've only ever had 2 good experiences in my entire life with a phlebotomist, the first one at the Newport Hoag emergency room a few years ago and the second was today with Lorna. She worked with me, made me feel safe and comfortable; I'm surprised I didn't cry or scream to be honest which is normal for me. I absolutely loved her I will be asking for her again. She is incredibly patient and I appreciate it very much as it is difficult to find a phlebotomist that understands phobias. read more

Never coming to this location again!!! Deserves Zero Stars!!! I arrived and checked-in at 12:15pm for a 12:30 pm appointment using their kiosk that is inefficient and doesn't work!!! I chose the option to be texted when they were ready for me as their "status" board showed there were 35 people waiting with appointments in front of me - the waiting room was over flowing with at least 50 people in it. 2 hours later, I was never texted!!! I re-scanned my appointment QR code - "no appointment found". So, I rechecked-in. It is now 2:45pm - still waiting!!! This place is rediculous!!! read more

I skimmed the reviews on Yelp before visiting this location...I feel like there was a lot of negative comments which was not accurate to my experience. Parking was easy, office was nice, staff was helpful, and visit was quick. I had an appointment scheduled but another women in the office did not and I noticed she was seen within a reasonable timeframe (obviously this can vary). The staff was communicative to patients sitting in the lobby & there was a staff available to help people check in. I thought it was great & I will be back for future appointments. read more

Appointments are booked out for a week so I did a walk in. The walk in estimated 18 minutes but I've been waiting 1 hour 45 minutes so far and the receptionist told me to expect another hour wait. The receptionist also told me there is no guarantee I will be seen even if I wait here all day. This is unprofessional and sheer disrespect for my time. I had other appointments I had to cancel due to how long this went. We don't all have the luxury of waiting a week for an appointment. Every time an appointment checked in, it made my wait time longer and put me farther back in the queue. This is mismanagement. Don't blame Covid because this place had bad customer service before Covid and the Covid tears are not performed in this facility. *Update. I was seen at 10 AM. I should have read the reviews before I came here. Very poorly organized especially for anyone who may not understand the automated kiosk. In defense the kiosk was simple but there are still those who struggle with these things. Hiring a receptionist to help with the Q and A of those who need help would greatly help alleviate the chaos I am watching. My appointment was at 10:20 am; I checked in at 10:10 am and it is now 10:50 am and I still have three people in front of me. I've had plenty of time to observe the chaos. Disappointing! read more
