This place is useless. The wait time was almost 2 and half hours and then they looked at the blood test needed and told me they didn't have the equipment to do that type of blood test... after they took my paperwork two hours earlier. The guy at the front desk clearly doesn't want to be there and has the customer service of a zombie. After waiting with a 14 m.o child for two hours, I asked how many people were in front of me, he said 4. 6 people later, I asked again and he said 2 more... Then came the good news about not being to do blood cultures. Yes, we were walk in's, but even other parents with children who had appointments were waiting over an hour. Amazing service!! So long story short I got a new job. The new job needed a TB test. I am picky about that kind of stuff so I opted for the quantiferon TB test which entails taking blood. I went to a place and had to go 2 separate days because they couldn't pull anY blood out. They were blaming it on numerous things. So very inconvenient for me. I then went to Quest diagnostics and was helped at the front desk by Candee. She had Eccentric energy, and welcoming vibes. Vivian is an all star blood taker!! She was so calm; and chill it made me more relaxed even though I was pricked 3 times prior this visit! She was confident; and got the job done. After stressing over this Vivian made it happen. Lab information is miss leading on the phone and on the website, both on the phone and on the website says no appt needed but I experience was I made an appt the nurse refuse to drawn my blood because I appt time past. This location deserve NO Star from me. I made an appointment through the phone on Monday 6/6/2022 at 9:10 am. I was in line to check in at 9:00 am when I saw an old lady had hard time to sign in on the iPad looking thing and she tried few times and she couldn't figure it out then she just walked away. When it's my time to check in the checking iPad can't complete my check in process. when I knock on the door and ask the nurse why I can't complete my check in she look and entered my phone number and said my appt was past. When I told her I have an appt and here is the confirmation number, she said no you have to come back for the next open appt at 11:20 am or you can wait here. I was upset. The main point is if you don't have a kind heart and don't have patient please don't become a nurse. So I call my doctor's office and when to PIH lab which is farther away. I'm a working individual and I have to take time off to take care my lab work. If you don't take appt please don't put it on your website and in your phone system. Stop miss leading patient and please be kind with your patient. You will see the same post on Google as well, more people should know how you treat your patients here. read more

LIES and a horrendous wait time!!! long story shorter I was told by the gentleman at the front desk (brown) that I wouldn't be waiting for the 30-45 minutes Minimum because of a previous experience I had last visit. I was told I would be put higher in the que. My name was put on the list on their TV and it went to the 3 min mark. 30 minutes after that I asked the man at the front desk and he said he didnt put me ahead of anyone. He was very two faced and concerning to me. I am concerned that if an employee lied to my face what else they will lie about?! Patient care and skill by medical staff was way above par. With over half a decade of previous work experience in the emergency medical services I am always appreciative of clinicians with great patient care abilities and clinical skills. Treva is incredible. She has the perfect demeanor and attitude for those appreciating any sort of distraction to put you at ease during blood draws. I have very bad anxiety when I get my blood taken and apparently very challenging veins. Before coming to Treva, I had 4 different people fail at 2 different locations to draw blood with 3 tries a piece. I've come back for the second time now (after she successfully drew labs for my prior order) and after an unsuccessful attempt by her colleague (who was very nice), she saw me upset, offered to take a look, and got my tests done in one stick. She is a sweetheart who knows exactly what she is doing, has a perfect confidence that puts you at ease, and brightens your day while doing it. If she ever leaves, I hope she tells me where she's going. The office has always been very calm and clean as well. With an appointment, I've been seen within a few minutes of arriving. read more

I really like coming here , it's small friendly and the guy with the glasses is amazing and caring . I come here every 6 months for my thyroid panel check up . 1. If you lose your doctor order or blood work paper . Need to fax it to them which the automated system is not available to customer unless your a physician . So here is the fax number if u need to fax it over . 562-597-5479. 2. It's good to go paper less and have it on there database . So ask your doctor to see if they could send it over if it's possible . 3 . It's good to have appointment so you don't have to wait so long . It's so much faster and you don't have to wait as long . I saw the negative reviews and was concerned I was in for a wait especially since I was coming at 10:30 AM. What a surprise! There were 4 people in the waiting room. Wendy at the desk was very pleasant and even asked me how my day was! I waited only about 10 minutes and was in. Candie the technician was very nice and efficient at drawing my blood and was friendly and talkative. I was in and out in 10. They just moved into a nice new clean office. This place has zero customer service. I was a walk-in at 10:40 am on October 21st and according to the Quest website there was no wait for walk-in appointments. I walk in and there are three people waiting and no one behind the desk. I checked in at the kiosk. Twenty-five minutes later still no one at the desk and not one person called in or walked out. I literally sat there for 25 mins at 11 am and saw nobody working or bringing appointments back. During this time more people came and started chatting and a gentleman next to me said he had an appointment and had been waiting an hour. With that I was out. Do not go here. Appointments and the quoted wait time mean nothing. I noticed that Quest reads these reviews which is why I decided to post. Quest should look into this. There was a gentleman with a 10:30 appointment who can verify this review. read more

DANGEROUS! There are no adults at this location and no manager and no security person. This is just a "puncture mill." They work the girls very very hard and give them no time to rest or any margin for error. I was treated very badly by a terrible phlebotomist, after complaining that using a butterfly would slow her down considerably, which it didn't at all, she jammed the needle into my scar tissue, where I'd asked her not to go into. I requested a butterfly becuase there were about 10 tubes to be drawn and it is terrible to feel a person holding a straight needle in my arm, jiggling around while the tubes are pushed in and then pulled out. This was very painful. She proceeded to tell me off and not tell her how to do her job. I am precisely the person who needs to tell her how to do her job not only because I took a phlebotomy course, but because I am the person she is serving. I am the one she is pushing a needle into. I am an elderly, disabled person who has had too many needles in my arms over the years from too mahy phlebotomists as I've had a chronic condition that has required constant blood draws and I've built up painful scar tissue in the most obvious places the least experienced phlebotomists go to automatically to draw from. This cruel and dangerous phlebotomist was hell bent on hurting me purposefully and then she had a jerk in the crowded waiting room attack me on my way out...an elderly disabled person who has spine degeneration and both hips replaced. Yes! This is a dangerous place. Avoid it at all costs. read more

This review is for Nelson's performance today I'm using my friends Yelp account to write a review since I don't have one myself. I went in today extremely nervous and anxious to have my blood drawn! I usually feel really sick after getting my blood drawn and I tend to pass out. So Nelson accommodated my request of being able to lay down during the process, he was very nice! While my blood was being taken I was talking to him how I felt about the whole process and he was very calming and just nice which really made me feel more at ease and it didn't even hurt! It was quick and painless which surprised me and I didn't feel dizzy or faint afterwards. Needless to say, I was very happy with my experience with him which is something I've never said after having my blood drawn. read more

I normally don't have much to say or like to complain but my experience at this location was so terrible. Had an appointment at 3:30, checked in and waited for over 30 minutes. When I went in, I was sat in a room. A guy named Issac walked in, no hi no telling me his name no telling me what he was doing he said "pull up your sleeve" so low I couldn't hear so then he repeated himself. He couldn't find the vein after poking me maybe 6 times. He took off the band, gave a high sigh like I was an inconvenience, and said " pull up your other sleeve. I pulled it up, he didn't even bother to tell me when he was going to do it, did it SO HARD that it scared me and I said OW and he didn't say anything. He took the band off which almost hit me in the eye. He had an attitude the whole time, so I asked for his name and if there was a manager or a higher up I could speak to. He rudely said "no" and I told him my issues with what just happened and all he said was rude things I was so flustered that I just walked out. 0/10 do not recommend, it was the worst experience I've ever had. read more

My experience in this place was very good! I was there around 4-5 times but today when i came to the lab I was late on my appointment and it was switched to the wait list . A spent around 40minutes and after they took my paperwork. The man who just working like a secretary take my paperwork and left , I was waiting around 2 hours and after that he came to tell me they can't take my tests because my insurance doesn't cover it. read more

So I am the 4th person to check in at 9:10 AM, it is now 10:10 AM and the 3rd person to check in at 9:08 was just called back. I realize 1 phlebotomist is scheduled. But it should not take 30 min per person for a draw. Additionally the front office person is very abrupt and un helpful. They have no consideration for the clients schedule, I have now had to call my job and cancel 2 more appts while I'm STILL waiting. I would just leave, but they have my lab slips!!! Do NOT come here unless you desire a 2-3 hour respite in the uncomfortable lobby chair with a room full of coughing, sniffling people with a misc screaming child thrown in for good measure. read more

I enjoyed my experience when i had to get my blood drawn. The front office manager was on duty she was very pleasant and helpful and checked me in and verified my insurance and orders correctly. I waited for about 5 minutes and then the nice phlebotomist took my blood gave me water and let me relax a few minutes after my blood draw. Overall great experience. Nice staff. read more

I just want to thank the staff at this Quest Diagnostics Lab site. They were professional and efficient. After trying to schedule an appointment twice last week (website was not allowing me accessibility to set an appointment), I visited the QDL on Atlantic and that was crazy in that the parking situation is chaotic. I then visited the Elm Ave. QDL and they were "appointment only". The irony is that there was no one in that lab. Anyway, after having fasted and feeling a headache coming on, I tried the QDL on Termino. I think God empathized with me because the staff here were polite, good listeners and efficient. Thank you staff! I had my documents with me and the process took all of 20 minutes. This should not have had to be so trying. Quest Diagnostics-please fix your website. If you are only going to be able to go in via "by appointment", PLEASE FIX YOUR WEBSITE SO THAT APPOINTMENTS CAN BE SCHEDULED. read more

This review is mostly for the lack of empathy from the people who work here. Serious question, if you seem like you hate your job why work there? Took my 2 year old to get blood drawn for tests that we needed to get done. The young lady who did that first asked me for my information like daughters birthday, our address, etc. I told this girl how to spell my address three times, she misspelled the hell out of it, then my fiancé attempted to correct her and she still misspelled it. It was something as simple as a street name called Jeans, she spelled it like genes. Then she's going to say that "they don't send anything to your house anyways" lmao Anyways I understand some people lack basic intelligence these days but I just don't appreciate the attitude and lack of empathy after failing to draw blood from my daughter in a calmly manner. I just feel like Professionals should be working in this type of work and whoever girl it was that drew my daughters blood lacked good work ethic. Great service!! I was worried about having to go to a draw center but was pleasantly surprised by the friendly workers. Came in 10 minutes before closing. I apologized to the workers and the receptionist with colored hair (pink or purple?) reassured me that I had nothing to be sorry for. I came here for my blood test after a while I heard about this lab. I came to another Quest diagnostics and tried to get my blood test done there but they didn't accept my insurance. So I came here for my blood test and this Quest diagnostic accepted my insurance. The staffs here seem more professional than other place. I got my blood test done quick and on time also ( which is super great since we usually come in with our empty stomach for the blood test) Candee was the one who draw my blood and she was nice and sweet. I was a walk in today. Yes, I had to wait about an hour, but hey, there were several people in front of me, and some of them went back first because they had appointments. It was approaching lunch time and they took me back anyway. No one is at the front desk because it is self check in. All of the employees were working hard. I had Nelson as my phlebotomist. He got me first try and was nothing but a pleasure to spend a few minutes with. I highly recommend him. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I worry about the elderly or mentally handicapped who could possibly have difficulty checking themselves in. I recommend this place! read more

I usually end up getting pricked so many times because "my veins are too little" or "hard to find" which I get, but he got it right on the first try!
