I would not give any stars if I could. I never complain as I know everyone has a bad day but this was ridiculous. I had an appointment and there two people before me waiting. We waited over an hour for our scheduled appointment. No one ever showed up. I wished I had read the reviews before hand. I read them as I was waiting and this is a regular occurrence. Someone came in afterwards also and they called this person that was supposed to be there and she said that the woman had an emergency so of course they couldn't leave a note on the door which I fully understand but again this happens quite often. There were many complaints if you read the reviews. I will never come back or recommend this location. read more

Well, I' about 90 minutes into the quest website and I still cannot work out how to place a patient order. If this website was a high school project it would fail. Also, Quest must lose many millions in tests not ordered, quite apart from damage to patients who cannot be diagnosed in a timely way. read more

i sat there for over an hour with only 2 people in there. mind you, i showed up about 10 minutes before my appointment and still sat there like a dumbass waiting for them to stop joking and laughing behind the closed window. I am never coming back here and I hope they get their shit together because that was awful. not even doctor's offices make you wait that long just for some blood tests. This is not like me to leave a review for a lab place, but I feel this is important. I hate getting my blood taken, I had been putting off my annual testing. Week of thanksgiving decided on a whim to go in and get it finally done. I was a walk-in. They were able to take me right away, it was clean, both people working were super polite and kind. I had some mix-ups with my docs office and had to wait awhile for them to fax orders over, and the quest people were so helpful. And they kept checking on me. I also get nervous having a blood draw and this was the easiest I've ever had. read more

This was a great location experience. I was in and out 15 min of my appointment time. Woman drawing my blood was super nice and patient with me as I get really anxious. I appreciate this experience so much after waiting for 2.5 hours+ at Brookeline loc for a walk in. Definitely recommend an appointment at any QD! read more

I was late so I had to do a walk in but was still called back promptly. I had Melinda draw my blood she was quick and efficient. I work in labs across the nation and I'm very impressed with how happy she is to try to help and explain things through. She definitely is an asset to this quest (I noticed that the first and only time I came). Appreciate Melinda and the work she does because I'd love to work with a phleb so experienced with great customer service. And as a healthcare employee I know the only way to actually feel appreciated is a raise . Keep your good employees quest! read more

This is the WORST PLACE EVER!!! The guy that used to be in charge had everything in order. They would not give him a promotion to manager or something so he quit. What a disaster! I just went there and, as always, checked in on the automated thing in front. 5 minutes for me and perhaps 15 for my GF. We both were gettting tests. 5 Minutes went by and.. nothing. No change.. still 5 minutes. Then I look up and we are down at the bottom after waiting 15 minutes already. 55 minutes NOW!! I go in back and there is one lousy person doing tests.. having a nice relaxing convo with someone back there while 20 others are waiting in the waiting room. These people and I have jobs, familises, responsibilities - but go ahead and chat away! Don't mind us. I said "What the hell are you doing???!!!" and why does the 5 minutes never get shorter and why did the five minutes all if a sudden become 50 - 65 minutes?? Oh.. if someone comes in and types in an appointment request through their cell phone.. you drop to LAST PLACE! I mean are these people out of their minds? You have 20 people waiting .. this woman is doing nothing .. there is only one person even working there.. And I could sit there all goddam day if others come in and just type an appointment into their cell phone.. another hour for AL.. Oh.. make it another hour.. Oh.. SORRY! One more hour. I'm not looking for a welfare blood test -- or something for free.. I'm paying for this out of my pocket through their UltaLabTest site. I will NEVER EVER go to this back-assward testing site again.. It's a disgrace. Whoever is running the place should be fired today and they should go find the guy that used to run the place and actually knew what he was doing and pay him whatever it takes - pay any amount - to get him back in charge. Be warned .. if you actually make a few dollars and work for a livng... If you think you are going to get tested and get out.. It's not going to happen. The arrogance of Quests to put this 'Jump the Line' system in place cannot be overstated. This is the second time I've had to come here in the past year where they're not open when they say they should be. Still a sign saying they open at 8am. Currently, there's 8 people waiting outside of the door and it's 840am. The phone system is a joke and you can't through to anyone. Do better- read more

I went to Quest recently for some blood allergy testing as I continue on the seemingly neverending quest (har har) to figure out why my stomach seems to hate me sometimes. Usually I'm sent to the Winchester Hospital blood lab where sweet Richard makes bloodwork something to legitimately look forward to. Not so much the case with this place. The girl who answered the phone and who was the only one on duty was kind of rude and I wasn't sure if she was in a really bad mood or if that's just the way her personality was and I was interpreting it wrong or something. I think I managed to warm her up a little with small talk, but it was off-putting. What was more off-putting, however, was the weird office. The front window doesn't open to talk to the receptionist, and there are no clear indicators of what you're supposed to do. So I had the awkward experience of attempting to talk to her through plexi glass and having her be like "uh, this doesn't open, you need to COME AROUND". Thanks... The wall's internal organs (what do you call that? scaffolding?) were all exposed like everything was under construction, but I don't think it was being worked on. It was just really run down in there and kinda creepy. But she was a good phlebotomist and the most painful part was ripping the bandaid off later. Hopefully something will come back on these tests so I don't have to go back here again, haha. read more

Very difficult to work with - particularly difficult if you consider how straightforward a blood draw is. Impossible to access any type of support - neither me nor my doctor were able to get the help needed for follow-up work. They use the technology shield, simply providing an automated system to provide all the detailed information you never asked for. Zero options to speak to a live person, on- or off-site, which wasn't the case a few months ago. read more

In my late 20s and still petrified of receiving blood work. I must say my experience went better than expected. Tho the place in pretty dreary and bland walking in, and not the friendliest greeting or exchanges, I will give 4 starts as the draw was surprisingly painless and tho I wasn't nurtured through the process he did listen when I told him I freak out from needles and remained calm even while I was breathing frantically like I was in labor. Came in for wellness screening and was seen 45 minutes late (almost an hour after I arrived). There is only one person working there and he works both the front desk and is the phlebotomist, so if there is any customer service issue it holds up people getting their work done. There's also no point in making an appointment since they will just take customers in the order they sign in. The guy working there at least was nice and efficient once I saw him but wasting an hour out of my work day for no reason was really annoying. read more

I have been to the Melrose location many times over the years and have had nothing but good experiences. The technician is welcoming, prompt, skilled and kind. I will use this location in the future when necessary and I would definitely recommend it as well. read more

Extremely understaffed. One person working. I have been sitting here waiting for an "appointment" I scheduled for 40 minutes for a simple blood draw. I typically walk into my hospital and have my blood work done and I plan to do that again in the future. This place is very inefficient read more

I went here today. The phlebotomist is often busy and today was no exception. If you are in a hurry you can make an appointment ahead of time. The reason I go is because this man is the best I have ever experienced and I have very small veins. read more

Yikes, if I had read the other review prior to going, I might have been nervous and looked to go elsewhere... but I hadn't looked for reviews and my first experience at Quest Diagnostics went wonderful. The one visible employee that I saw in the facility/office was terrific. She was extremely efficient and professional during the period of checking in for my first time to the drawing of the blood. I look forward to returning to that location and hope to find 'Diana G' or a clone of hers at the helm again. I know that she couldn't possibly work every day, but if she is there I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. The most unfriendly people work here. I go for a blood draw. The guy puts the needle in my vein in the right arm. Blood wont come out good. so he tells me he's going to shift the needle in my vein to try to get blood. Ow Ow Ooow. I'm in pain so he pulls it out. Then goes for a vein on the top of my hand. and OMG THAT killed all day. Looks like a bee stung me, it's swollen & risen. I went in the morning so at the end of the day I called the place who requested the blood work for results. One person said the results are in. A nurse would call me back. The nurse called me back to tell me there's no results yet. like umm ok?! so I went to quest's website to see if they have a patient gateway which they did so I spent 5 mins filling everything out to get my results and the results are not listed. it is now the next day and I called quest directly for the results. 1 woman said she would fax over a release form to tell me the results. but my fax was out of ink so it printed blank pages. I called back to email the form to me. I Spoke w Alton Goggins. He emailed me the form & I emailed him right back. Still NO results. so I call quest again. I got transferred literally 4 times. One guy didn't know who Alton Goggins was so got transferred to another rep. and That lady said Alton Goggins works the night shift. Well apparently not if he just spoke to me on the phone at 8:30AM and sent me an email. she said she would transfer me to him. after being on hold for another 2 minutes she kicked me back to the main menu. I hung up. so still no results!!! HORRIBLE company. Can't draw blood well & customer service sucks. Try to go elsewhere for blood work. I got poked twice for ONE blood draw. read more
