Due to my schedule I had to go here and not the Barranca one because they are open on Saturdays. I went this past weekend for a glucose test. If you plan to come here on Saturday, then try to get here by 730 at the latest. They open at 8 and I got there at 745am and waited 50 minutes because there was already a line. The one star is because the techs didn't seem to know what they were doing and one was clearly unsure which instilled in me a sense of unease and bruises. For example, they had to draw blood multiple times and asked me which arm to use. When I told them I wasn't sure, Dana used my left and couldn't find a vein for a few minutes. She finally found one and all I can say was that it was a painful experience. I'm pregnant and used to being pricked with needles and have no problem with getting my blood drawn but this left a big bruise on my left arm. Pic included. I had to have my blood drawn 4 times at different intervals because my test called for it and the next tech, Patricia, was so unsure she kept hitting veins on both arms and finally picked my right arm and stuck the needle in only to have no blood come out. She also proceeded to clean the next spot with rubbing alcohol and then TOOK OFF HER GLOVE to feel where the vein was after she cleaned the site. After she put the needle in and started to draw blood, the needle came out because she tried to put the band back on as she had taken it off too soon! Needless to say, if blood made me faint I would have passed out because the needle came out and large drops of blood with it. She ended up not able to fill the entire vial so she had to confirm with someone else that the blood was enough. Thankfully it was. This time I was left with a bruise on my right arm! So now I have a blue bruise on my left arm and a blue bruise on my right arm. See pix. I will never come here again. I don't know if this was a Saturday issue or if the techs here are just incompetent but they are highly u professional. Patricia told me it was "all downhill from here and not easy" after I told her I was pregnant with my first child. She also proceeded to make fun of another patient who was a 14 year old girl that had passed out due to blood and asked me if I had seen her! Makes me wonder if they discuss all patients with other patients. read more

Clearly very Rude checking clerk Her name was Quela. She felt as if she was doing us a favor. Checking in signed in electronically just asked her how long the wait as I walked in without an appointment, she says are you speaking with me ? No I am speaking to myself......! I said yes and she says cant you, see I am helping someone else. All I did was ask a question. I guess she is way over paid as it seems she does not enjoy her simple job. If this was my staff she would be gone ! Another patron waiting said she must be having a bad day. He was kind enough to advise me he has been waiting 20 min. Now how hard was that for Quela to answer......! Quest - You and your staff are not doing us any favors. We are paying customers whom deserve respect and customer service. Wait times on web are a total lie. There is no reason for this. You go thought the whole fasting routine only to find that the 12 min walk-in listed on the web site is wrong. I had stopped by earlier and was told they by someone wait they were their for 1.5 hours. I just not have this type of time off in the AM. Hopefully they finish before my lunch break ends. Update: I wrote the above and award only 1 star prior to seeing the Phlebotomist. She was A+ Awesome and really deserved 5 stars for the job she did. Still I can't appreciate Quest treating a customer this way with the bait and switch times.....Try "Fasting" and see how this workout.... ---- I received a survey from them in my email. Below are my comments directly solely at Quest (not the Phlebotomist who was beyond excellent). ---- The wait times that are posted online are completely inaccurate. I had to leave after the first visit that said 12 minutes -- One of the people in the waiting room told me she had been waiting over an hour and stated she saw the same static online. I have a job and have to go to work. I looked again around 11am and it said 6 minutes. You call the site number to verify and it goes to a recording.....I guess your customers are non good enough to have a person to speak with? Needless to say, about 30 to 45 minutes later I was seen. I've left a review on yelp. A terrible experience. it was deleted. I tried to schedule an appointment online the site would not accept my email address. I tried calling no one ever answered. I decided to walk in first thing and wait. I've done this several times that early (6:30 AM) never had an issue. I checked in and selected standby. No one was at the front for more than a minute and would not take questions. A person came out to help a women check in and he was so put out about it I found it to be rude. I tried to ask how long the standby was, he never answered. Twice the supervisor came out to call out the 4 people on standby to see we were still here and stated it should be around 20 to 25 minutes. So, we continued to wait. I finally caught the supervisor up front at 9:30 am and she said, and I quote: We have 5 people for 5 appointments unless there is a cancellation you will not be seen. I then went to the check in and scheduled an appoint for 11:15 AM, I was fasting and prepared myself with fasting 3 days, I needed this done that day. At 12:20 I was called in by the supervisor, I asked her how you and your team could let people wait hours on standby and asked her name. She refused, I asked her last name and she refused and said you don't need to know. I asked her supervisor's name and again she refused. She then said she refused to draw my blood and get out of her cubicle. I said you will draw my blood and I don't care which cubicle. She sent me to room 5 and someone else drew my blood. That person was sympathetic and understanding and is very good at what she does. I thanked her. I';ve been using Quest for many years and will never use your service again. Suggestions: 1. Make it clear if you're a walk in you will not be seen unless there is a cancellation 2. Hire a 6th person to take walkins 3. Hire more compassionate and friendly people read more

I HATE this place! I came in six months ago for a blood draw for which I had AN APPOINTMENT. I told the front desk girl I had an appointment when I got there. I signed in and waited...and waited..and waited. The waiting room was PACKED. Finally after 45 minutes of this BS I got up and asked when would they be taking me back since I had an appointment 45 minutes ago. The girl at the front desk said "Oh, I forgot to put down that you had an appointment". BEE JEEZ US! I HATE this lab. When I looked online to get an appointment it said walk in time was 3 minutes, so I decided to go. When I got there It changed to 9 minutes wait time on the online website tool. That would have been fine. My time on the screen in the waiting room went from 9 minutes to 6, to 4, to 3, back to 6..... I am currently still waiting in the lobby and I have been here for 40 minutes and have no sign of being called in shortly. I have seen only 5 people go in and the front desk woman is not customer-service oriented. They are extremely slow in this office and I do Not recommend this office. Based on the tools available that they use, things need to be more accurate or why use them. I may need to just walk out as now I have been here an addition 10 minutes without being called and there is an essentially empty waiting room. Terrible! I went in yesterday and have never had such unprofessional service before. I notoriously pass out when I have my blood drawn, went to the Quest on Placentia but they informed me that they did not have a bed for me to lay down on and to go to the location on Avocado. I went there in the afternoon and there was no wait which was great! I informed the front desk that I pass out and need a bed, the man who was taking my blood then said "Oh no, I don't have time for that. I'm trying to get out of here on time today and don't want to have to call the paramedics." WHAT! You say something like this to someone who has a fear of needles and always passes out? I was expecting a little more compassion and because I was so upset by his comment and didn't feel comfortable with him drawing my blood, I left. I'm not a fan of Quest to begin with, but this really put me over the edge. read more

I know I've already written a review about Quest but I can't say enough great things. The wait was super short for me today. Again I'm absolutely terrified of needles but today I had Claudia, she relaxed me, was so quick, and comforting! The staff that I've dealt with is amazing and Vianey remembered me! I work in customer service and I know how important it is to provide a certain level of service and these workers have it. It's these little details that really make a difference when it comes to this kind of experience. I implore Quest Diagnostics to applaud their tremendous staff on their customer service! Worse lab testing area. Don't come here if you had a choice. Waited 3+ hours just to pee in a cup. Customer service is poor- front desk lady does not give clarity in terms of waiting or checking in. This review is a one star on account of the administration, not the medical staff who are doing the best they can. This place is woefully understaffed and so as a customer you will suffer. They won't answer a phone at the physical location and they most frequently not have a dedicated representative at the front desk able to assist patients in any way. Consequently when you finally grab an employee they are simultaneously working an individual patient and have no time or ability to assist you. They are frazzled and overwhelmed. Everyone is frustrated. Do not even think of being a walk in unless you have a whole day to wait and even then it is not a guarantee you will be seen. Even first thing in the morning they seem behind on scheduled patients. Having been here several times I believe this is the norm for this particular facility. At this point I would highly recommend using another clinic. read more

There is no receptionist at the front desk to troubleshoot. I had to make an appointment just to pick up a urine specimen cup to take to my elderly mother at assisted living. I waited 25 minutes past the appointment time before being seen. I had to make a second appointment just to drop off the specimen and waited again. I feel sorry for the employees because they seem understaffed. I think some of the efficiency problems could be averted if they had a receptionist to handle questions, problems with check-in, and simple tasks. read more

The young lady with the pony tail the receptionist was exceptionally pleasant but when I went into to room Erica was the phlebotomist and I have never experienced some one as rude as she was - she is in the wrong profession.. First I was told that the lab order from my urologist was illegal because my name wasn't on it. I have a recurrent UTI and have for several years used the same order. Then in trying to make conversation I asked her if she like being a phlebotomist and she said she wasn't paid to like her job but just to work. I then asked if she might be one of those people using this position as a way to get the necessary hours to become a PA and her response was " I would never want to have anything to do with being a PA".. when I was leaving I asked her if I could have a copy of my original because of my recurrent UTI and she took the order - drew a big line across the lab order and wrote - PT copy - collected - 3-16-22 - Erica - I asked her if this was the company policy to write a big black line through tall filled lab orders and she said yes --- Quest Lab I am only writing this as if this was my business I would not want someone with this attitude working for me. Maybe there is something tragic goi g in in her life and if so I hope she gets some help. She is very angry and rude person . I won't be coming back here again . DO NOT GO HERE! I was there this morning to get some blood taken and I had to wait over two hours just to not even get helped in the end. I didn't have an appointment, but I went early in the morning and put myself on the waiting list on standby and waited for over two hours until 11 o'clock, and that's when they told me that after 11 o'clock they don't take any more standby patients. I was number one on the standby list for almost an hour, but even after waiting that long, I still wasn't helped and in fact, there was a curly haired man that worked there that almost seemed angry at me for being frustrated with him that I had to wait over two hours just to not even get helped. This was probably one of the most embarrassing medical institutions I've ever been to in my entire life. The system they have to take patients is absolutely terrible and I understand people that have appointments should get priority, however, it seems pretty ridiculous to me that they have a system where someone could wait over two hours on standby and still not get helped. Overall, both the quality and the institution itself is not good and I would not recommend anyone to go here. read more

The text system worked very well and check in was quick and easy, the gal at the front desk was efficient and friendly. Next, Lexi took me in for the draw. She was very friendly, enthusiastic and detailed. She made the procedure easy and fun. Her technique was painless and I was done quickly. I tried to make an appointment online, but their system would not accept my email. I tried to call with holding and never reaching a live person. I am waiting as I'm writing this as I am currently waiting as a walk-in for 4.5 hours. There was no staff to help with questions or help. People knocked on the door several times with no answer. During this wait, I've been the only person in the wait room twice, twice a employee said to the wait room if you have no an appointment you might wait 25 minutes. The next time I saw this employee 4 hours in, I asked for help, I've been fasting and have other appointments. She stated they have 5 employees for 5 appointments at a time, unless someone cancels, you might not have your service completed today. She instructed me to check the auto checking system and schedule an appt, I did and my appt time is for 11:50 , 5 hours. Your staff should better explain your new procedures instead of randomly coming out to say if your on stand by you might wait 25 minutes. You might even consider a 6th person for walk-ins, and at the very least have your staff inform walk-ins will not be helped unless there is a cancelation. I've been coming here for 30 years, this is the worst service I have ever had, do not come here your not a person your not treated with compassion, the employees treat you like you are inconvenience them, they don't care if your fasting or fainting, they are rude inconsiderate and not helpful. When my name was called the time was 12:10, I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said it was her, the one that was suppose to take my blood. I asked her to listen to my suggestions and she wait in room 1 took questions from others who were waiting in the Waitrose while I waited even longer. I asked her how it is possible to let anyone sit in the waiting room for hours, she said that is the way it works here. I asked her why she did not let everyone know when checking to see if the stand by where still waiting that they would only be seen if there was a cancelation but instead she said it might be a 20 25 minute wait. I asked for her last name since she's the supervisor and her reply was I did not need to know her last name, I asked for her supervisors name and refused to answer. Then she said she refused to draw my blood, I stated I didn't wait here hours for you to not take my blood and not leaving until it's done. She sent me to room 5 for someone else to take my blood and soon after the task was completed. Is this what our medical care has become? I will be reaching out to anyone in corporate with my story. Was spoken to rudely by a male lab tech who used the "CoVid" excuse, not enough help. Ha ha ha. Then don't schedule so many appointments at the same time. Duh. The check in stations did not work. And the lab techs had to keep running out to manually check people in. What a mess! Then finally we n the room I had two people, one to enter info and one to take the blood. If you walk in -- which is what will likely happen for an employer drug test since you can't make an online appointment at this location within the time allowed on the order issue date -- you have to go standby. One good thing I must say is that the receptionist and the lobotomist were friendly, and appt very timely. However, when she drew blood it was more painful than normal, and it's been 30 minutes and it still hurts. I have never experienced that before. Also, had to provide urine sample, there was no toilet seat covers or soap or wipes in one bathroom, so I switched to the other one. Still no wipes, and the toilet was dirty. Quest is worst in the world. 800 number is always busy, need to wait 30min. Automated system never recognizes your question, and this is a waste if your time. Crew is very unhelpful, and if the lab order is missing from a doctor they will dump you, never going to call a doctor on their own, they will tell you to figure it out yourself. Since doctors send lab orders electronically you never know if the lab order is there or maybe not. It's a gamble to go there, it may be as well a waste if your time. read more

Made an appointment via their website for 6:30AM on a Friday. Walked out of the office at 6:38AM. Can't complain there! Ground rules for a relatively quick and smooth visit: RULE #1: Make an appointment. This is an absolute must. RULE #2: Arrive a few minutes BEFORE your appointment time to take care of check in and paperwork. How much earlier? It varies since you are at the mercy of the walk-ins that came ahead of you. I arrived two minutes early but had no check-in delay since everybody else already finished checking in. YMMV. RULE #3: Have all your paperwork and ID ready and accessible. Here's how my 10 minute visit went: Once I arrived at 6:28AM, the waiting room was surprisingly already full of walk-ins (e.g. around 10 people). See RULE #2. I proceeded to check in through their new electronic check-in station where you can indicate if you are a walk-in or have an appointment. Once checked-in, your name appears on the waiting room TV with your estimated wait time. Since I had an appointment and it was already my appointment time, my name went to the top of the waiting list. Sorry to the walk-ins! NOTE: Make sure you have your paperwork and ID ready to reduce unnecessary delays. Even though the lab should have had my lab slip in the system, I always bring a physical print out to eliminate the risk of not being able to find it. A few Instagram scrolls later, I was asked for my paperwork and insurance card. See RULE #3. Waited another two minutes for them to verify my info and was called into the back room. Verified my info, took four vials, and was out the door by 6:38AM with a spiffy white gauze and masking tape on my arm. Overall, very professional and courteous at the front desk and with the phlebotomist. Just make sure to have your stuff ready and accessible to make everything smooth. I highly recommended making an appointment online ahead of time to reduce the wait time significantly. The new electronic check in and wait time status features were pretty cool, too. read more
