Came here after a very bad experience at a concentra where the techs couldn't properly draw my blood. They sent me to quest to get the blood work I needed for a pre op done and I was already nervous due to the bad time I had just had. However I arrived and was helped within literal minutes of signing in. Katie was the tech who helped me and she was amazing! She was so social and nice which helped me stay calm and she was so quick and gentle that I barely felt a thing! Shout out to Katie!!! read more

I had an appointment set up for 1:30 p.m. Around 30 minutes earlier I received a text to check in to let them know I had arrived. I clicked on the link as directed. I went inside ar 1:10 p.m. At 1:30 a walk in patient was taken back. When they were done I was able to stop the staff person and ask why I hadn't been called back. He said my check in had not successfully gone through their system so I'd have to make a new appointment another day. I was only dropping off a specimen. My doctor had ordered a "rush" on the results and the Quest staff said they don't do "rush" orders. This is such an unprofessional lab. read more

Went here twice to get a blood drawn. I had to fast for this. The first time was a walk in. After a while, it was clear that they were processing too slowly and the appointments were backing up. I left despite being first on the waitlist. Bummed about the wasted fasting. The second time I came with an appointment. Mid morning appointment. I came early and was kept waiting. It was just me and one other lady waiting. Eventually, I was told that the computers had just gone down for all of across Quest, and they had to go to lunch soon. No offer of rescheduling. No apologies. Just a blank stare to GTFO since they had lunch in ten minutes. Maybe they were hangry like I was. Definitely not coming back. If you don't mind the inconvenience and being treated like an inconvenience, then this is the place! read more

My 93 year old mother had a lab appointment for fasting blood test. Front desk staff ignored her, insisted she use tablet to check in (she has poor mobility and vision), kept her waiting for over an hour while calling others in. We left before she could have her test and are lucky she didn't pass out. Absolutely incompetent and rude staff. read more

Very disorganized. I was denied my appointment that I had made in advance because of "no order on file." When I went to explain, I was dismissed and felt rushed out- they said I had to come back. I explained to the phlebotomist that my labs are day sensitive, and he didn't seem to care. Very frustrating and emotional when you're dealing with health-related items. I called my doc right away, and they confirmed the order was on file the entire time. With this location's short hours, I simply couldn't make it back. Mistake are fine, but the lack of empathy was disappointing since my lab results were needed on a specific day. I'm not here to complain, but I feel this was really poor service and wouldn't want anyone else to experience something similar. read more

Debra!! She held the front down so wonderfully. As a person who works with patients/customer service, she was amazing. Multiple people coming and out and she was on it. Her demeanor and professionalism was welcoming, reassuring and helpful. She made my experience so positive. For a routine blood draw, I couldn't be happier. I'm used to a Bay Area Labcorp experience; what a breath of fresh air. The staff was friendly, and it was set up so that you needed an appointment to even wait; therefore, it wasn't crowded. I was in and out, with a quickness. This location is not the most convenient to my house, but I go out of my way to use this lab any time I need bloodwork. The staff at this location are super professional and always friendly. Barbara at the front desk and Blake the technician are great at their jobs and should be complimented on the difference that they make to the patients that come in for services. Excellent service by Quest Diagnostics off Sierra College and Douglas Blvd. There was about 4 patients in front of us and about 20 min wait time (not bad). Wife mentioned that the gentlemen that drew her blood was great and she didn't feel anything. My only complaint was with the front office staff not being able to figure out what type of blood test was needed exactly. 5 stars for the phlebotomist 4 stars for the front office service. I scheduled an appointment for lab work, the location closest to me was booked. I fasted starting after dinner the night before until my appointment at 2:20pm the next day. I drove all the way out there to see a sign on the door saying closed today for routine maintenance work. Really, maintenance work, no repair trucks around, no service technicians around and curiously the windows were papered so you couldn't see inside. Just guessing----maybe some employees didn't show up and those that did wanted to get the paperwork done?? A notification was sent 3 hours before the appointment but I don't live with my email and did not see the notice. A text would have been much better. Very poor planning on their part. read more

The white male with the beard is absolutely rude. Completely told his co workers I should be kicked out for not having an appointment but my obgyn told me to go in asap and come back later that afternoon. If we need an appointment make sure to take out the walk ins. It was close to his lunch so he was angry telling me I'm lucky I'm being seen without an appointment and I would be kicked out without one. I told him I'm doing what my doc told me. During my blood draw he hurt there was blood everywhere afterwards he didn't prepare me walk me threw it nothing it was yelling at all the people in the waiting room including my boyfriend that was waiting for me that they are closed and they can get out. I have never been treated that way getting any blood work done ever. I took off my bandages 30 mins after with blood everywhere. I will not be coming back I suggest no one else do so either someone else was going to do my blood work but the horrible man with the beard insisted he does it just to make my experience worse and hurt me on purpose I wish the man that came up and told me he was doing it would have or else I would have had a better experience. read more

This Quest is very clean and well kept. They had all the chairs appropriately distanced and I had the option to wait in my car upon check in. The woman at the front desk was very sweet and friendly. The phlebotomist, Blake, was also very nice. He was super gentle with the blood draw and I didn't even feel a thing. I just wish they had some small tables to our your belongings on. This place has terrible practices. This may not be exclusive to this particular location but its still upsetting. Telling a pregnant woman that they can't help you after you already fasted for 10+ hours because they close for lunch. How is someone supposed to take care of 3+ hours test if they are not even open all day? At a prior test, I waited an hour just to drink the sugary drink and then wait again. This review may seem pointless because Quest is all there is in the area but it is very frustrating. read more

As far as labs are concerned I've been to many many labs all across sac region and the Bay Area and even other states. I think they do a good job here, they're efficient, have a good system down of who does the paperwork and who sticks. Most importantly they're able to accommodate walk-ins in reasonable time while handling their apts as well. Wish their office was bigger though it feels crammed. Apts are really limited and hard to schedule, but that makes sense considering there's only 2 employees here. read more

In the past I have read so many complaints about the lady at the front desk. Why she is still there bitching and being rude is beyond me!!!! Today she wasted so much time complaining (out loud in the back room) about having to take all the extra patients on Saturday and continued to complain to the lab tech as My husband was having his blood drawn. She is so rude to everyone at the front desk and loves to find anyway to cancel them or make them wait. My husband was 15 min early for his appt and got taken 15 min late. That is not so bad but if she didn't back up the system with all her problems it would go way smoother. Someone had their code and it was in their name but something was wrong about it. She told them, although she had made an appt, had a code and it was her name she would have to be a walk in. Does that mean she doesn't get her spot or does it mean she just has to process it differently, and in that case it would have taken 2 extra seconds to explain that. You managers should be ashamed of yourself for letting this lady stress all of the patients out everyday. My husband complains about nothing and every time he goes there he needs about a 15 min decompression time. She is horrible!'n read more

I used to value the quest organization and I still do value the care team, they see me on time, are courteous and efficient. They are awesome. Their company has adopted a new billing system (can't call it new since its been trying to be built for over a year) and it is HORRIBLE. I cannot count the number of hours I have wasted dealing with their poor accounting. Who builds a billing system with no history? They just demand money over and over and no way to show they are double and triple billing me. I have wasted hours on the phone with people who cannot clarify their billing nor bill any out of state insurance correctly. I'll miss my care team and the cool app but i'm not putting up with this billing system anymore. Where's the class action attorney's on this. These guys need a wakeup call. read more

I had a horrible experience here. I've gotten blood work done many times. I'm not afraid of needles, usually when I go in to get it done it's very quick, with just a tiny bit of a pinch in the beginning but not a big deal. I usually get it done at Sutter labs, but stopped in here because it was closer and more convenient. Well, the guy who did my work this last time was awful!! He didn't really talk me through it or was very friendly. He couldn't find my vein, so we tried it in my hand. Ow! It stung really bad, and it didn't even work, he couldn't get enough blood. He tried it in my arm, and again it hurt horribly. It burned and stung the entire time! Especially when he took it out. It's been two days since I had it done and my hand is still sore. Awful! I've never had such a painful experience getting routine blood work done. I'll never go here again, I'll stick with Sutter where their phlebotomist actually know what they are doing. read more

This is by far the most reliable and efficient Diagnostic Center I've ever been to. 2 employees and they were knocking out each patient one after another. Wait time is literally zero. Fast and efficient. I've been to other Diagnostics Centers in Sacramento and omgggg it's horrible. read more

The actual service in the office is ok. However, their process completely fails to properly inform patients about costs for their services and the billing. I asked and pressed to get information on costs and was told that it was not possible to provide that information. I asked about discounts for paying out-of-pocket but was not allowed that option. Now, I have a large bill and the billing office refuses to discuss anything related to a discount of 30% for out-of-pocket payment which I have finally discovered after the fact I should have been offered. Another medical provider that fails to work with patients to manage costs in a climate of escalating fees. Quest Diagnostic is just another example of exploitative practices in the medical field and why citizens are calling for change. read more

The waiting room is clean and the employees are kind. I think that they need to get trained on checking in patients OR processing clients who have reservations. I went to Quest today for routine blood work. As I entered the door, I noticed the lobby was completely empty. The receptionist, Barbara, immediately ask if I had an appointment. I advised that I did not, so she explained that all Quest require an appointment and offered me a sheet of paper with instructions to schedule an appointment online. I thanked her and proceeded to walk out, when another women walked in with her family. Barbara asked her if she had an appointment, the women indicated that she registered online. I didn't think much about it until realized that the women did not have an appointment, but had only registered online to be seen as a walk in. I went back in and ask Barbara if the women and her family had an appointment, she looked at me as though I should not have questioned her and said, "yes". I then went to my car and proceeded to register online for a walk-in appointment. I waited about 5 mins before my walk-in time and went back in. Barbara asked again if I had an appointment and I told her I registered online. I was reluctantly seen, however I had to wait until others with appointments were seen first. Barbara never advised that if I registered online as a walk-in I could be seen a lot sooner, instead she led me to believe that the only way to be seen was to make an actual appointment and took several people ahead of me. Had I not questioned her and followed up, I would have had to wait 4 days before getting an appointment for my lab work. It felt like I was being discriminated against as the women who was seen as a walk-in was white. read more

This location is in the same complex as Safeway and Homegoods; next to Starbucks. Appointments can be made online. I suggest making an appointment - which I was glad I did because there was a couple there who told me they had been waiting for 2 hrs. When I checked in, there were around 7 people ahead of me, and I believe only two workers. I was a bit confused on what to do when I first walked in the office. Basically, you'll need to sign in at the front counter and then take a seat. They will call whoever have appointments first. I went in on a Wednesday morning at 11:00am. I checked in at 10:50am and was called to the counter at 11am exactly. Although my doctor's office had told me that my insurance covers the blood work, Quest does not have a system (or they do not call) to verify insurance. I had the option of pre-authorizing a credit card for "up to $231" or wait for a bill to arrive to my home if my insurance should not cover. Okay... I guess that's fine. The tech who helped me was Robert, and he was extremely friendly, outgoing, and skilled. I was a little nervous due to past experiences requiring multiple attempts (looking for a good vein) on different arms....but all it took was one try. Being naive, I asked him how hard I should be closing my fist, lol. I did learn something though - Do not pump your fist when they are drawing blood as this could cause arteries to rupture. No complaints here, really. I was in and out in quick! And, doctor received my lab results the following day! read more

I don't know where these poor reviews are coming from because I had such a good experience. Let me begin by stating that I am a type one diabetic, so I get my blood drawn like every 3-5 months. So I've had my share of blood draw horror stories and experiences. This was my first time coming to this location and I was nervous because I hadn't made an appointment. I went on my lunch and was the only person being seen so it took them, maybe, ten minutes to get me in and taken care of. The gentleman who took my blood was very nice and painless, which is pretty unusual. I have tiny little veins so he gave me some ideas as to how I can make them pop before I get my blood drawn. The nice lady at the front desk was efficient in logging my insurance and paperwork. I will definitely be making this my new lab. read more
