So I take my 2 daughters there mind you with an appointment I'm sitting in the wait room waiting for my youngest to leave her urine this phlebotomist comes out rudely and says only 5 people are allowed in the waiting room she turns to me and says have you been helped already with her points to my daughter i said yes ma'am I'm waiting for my youngest to use the restroom she says you have to wait outside in the hall for her I said no I'm sorry she's a minor I do t feel comfortable leaving her I then told her the young man who drew her blood said we can wait for her by the restroom but since a lot of people going in and out I decided to wait here she then proceeded to yell at me I then told her I'm sorry Miss Christi I'll wait for her by the restroom she then came to my face and said rudely you don't have to have attitude with me I said oh no ma'am I don't but trust if you don't get out of my face we will have BIG problems. I don't know if it's too early in the morning . 930am to be exact . I come in its pack (small office too) there is a receptionist there behind a computer (she doesn't acknowledge you when you come in). I notice an iPad to the right and screen of a check in so I just help myself. Lucky I Pre-register online and scanned myself in. FYI if you're older and not computer shabby the dull somewhat rude reception will help you with a tone /attitude. Then your name will prompt onto the tv screen to show you where you are in line . I sit for a bit and the reception call someone name and then mines. I heard her asking for insurance and paper of doctor requested labs. So I am standing there waiting for my turn and she turns around and helps someone else that been waiting for a while I assume? Something about how she talk or ask questions is rude to me (sounds like a dmv worker). She finally got that person previously done, then that waited person, so im patiently waiting standing there in front of her while she staring at her computer. She finally acknowledge I was standing there and say you check in yet over there ."No you called my name" she look at me I called your name ?? I say my name and she like your paper and your insurance card while still staring at her computer. I hand her what she asking for, she takes it set it down and continue looking at the computer. I'm still standing there looking blank for further instructions. Then she realize I'm still standing there and like "well you can go have a seat they will call you. I'm really trying to keep my patience and calmly sat down. Anywhos !!Making an appointment ahead of time helps because they actually pull you first even tho youre early there was a lot of walk in. Wait was pretty quick, the phlebotomist pointed to her room and walks away. I sat down oh yeah guys I been fasting since midnight nothing to eat nor drink (sure does play with your mood and emotion). She questions why I have not drank water. I made my appointment on the weekend how waS I suppose to call and ask what i can drink or eat ?!? so she was struggling to kinda find my veins. She found it and drew like 10 vials. And she gives me instructions to pee in two cups: cup 1 and cup 2. Cup 2 requires to be clean before peeing in it and more than urine. So I do blame myself for this mistake the priority and specific instruction so how to follow instruction. I clean myself and pee in cup 2 because it required more and to be clean. And I was only able to produce enough for one cup. So cup 1 is empty; I came back to tell her the new and she was not happy that I clearly didn't listen to her instructions. So guys when it say cup 1 pee in that first THEN cup 2. All and all, I got what I needed from there and over with. I felt like the staffs tones, communication, and understanding of the clients needs to be addressed. more understanding that not everyone is use to going in getting their blood draw using an iPad and the lack of signs to show you where things/room is located. I agree that making an appointment here is very much suggested. I came here recently for a drug screening for pre-employment. Quest Diagnostics was kind of hard to find. It's located in the building where Lucky Pharmacy is. You'll see a 416 Entrance next to it. Once you enter, make a left and go all the way down to see a door with a paper sign saying "Quest Diagnostics." Only two doctors were working when I came on a Monday morning. I signed in and was told that I could pee in a cup whenever I was ready but if I did not supply a sufficient amount, they would have to flush it and I would have to wait 45 minutes to try again and I could not leave the waiting room for those 45 minutes. Petrified as I was that I might not have enough pee, I downed 4 cups of water on top of my 3 glasses at home before coming and then pee. Thank gosh I had enough pee! The safety box that holds your stuff while you're in the restroom is hard to lock and open. Even the doctor made complaints about it. But when you only have 4 minutes to pee, that's the least of your worries. read more

I would highly recommend that you make an appointment online instead of waiting the day of to see if they could fit you in. You might be waiting 30 minutes - 1 1/2 hours. Bring your confirmation print out to show that you have an appointment and bring your health insurance card as well. Today I had to do bloodwork and I had the best phlebotomist ever. Her name was Tanya and she was confident in drawing blood. After telling her that I tend to faint or feel dizzy during/after the process, she got a smaller needle and made sure that she found a strong enough vein. The process was over in 20 seconds and she didn't leave a bruise like most other phelbotomists have done before. I was impressed with her skill. So if you avoid getting bloodwork because you are like me and do not take well to needles, make sure that Tanya is there to work with you. read more

WORST FREAKING SERVICE IN THE DAMN WORLD!!!!! SERIOUSLY. I'm here dropping of stool samples because I've had serve gastroenteritis for the past 4 days. I have a lab slip from my dr and I'm here..... Waiting for 20 mins. Just to drop of poo. I went up to the front to ask why I can't just give her my samples, everything is labelled properly (I'm a nursing student I know all about documentation). She said "I have to check things in the computer" But wait.... Working I've worked in drs offices and when they come to pick up the samples I KNOW TECHS JUST PICK UP THEM UP!!!! THEY DONT MAKE US WAIT AND SAY WAIT LET ME RUN BACK TO MY OFFICE TO CHECK THE COMPUTER. WHY THE EFFFF DOES IT TAKE NOW 25 MINS TO DROP OFF SHIT SAMPLES!?!? THere are also 9 other people here waiting. IM NOT WAITING FOR A FLIPPING DOCTORS APPOINTMENT. WHAT IS THE FLIPPING DEAL!?!?!?!? And just lastly, the front desk receptionist is a fucking idiot. That is all. On a happier note... Made an appointment the day before. Was sent a text to click when I get to the parking lot. I clicked it and was told to wait wherever I want. 5 minutes later I was told to head on in. There was no one in the waiting room. When I got there the receptionist asked for my ID and insurance card. He made a copy and told me to have a seat. Another 5 minutes and I was taken into a room to get my blood drawn. Drew 6 vials! But overall easy experience, didn't hurt. Seems very professional. No bruises or anything. If needed to get more done, I would come back here. The parking situation is a little rough, there's about 10 spots in the front designated just for handicaps and 10 for regular. There may be parking in the back but I was in a walking boot and couldn't walk far. There are no signs in the front that say Quest Diagnostics, so just remember to walk in where the sign says "Lucky Pharmacy". Elevator is pretty shaky read more

Hector was amazing! I had quite a few tubes to fill, so I was a little worried, but he reassured me that he wouldn't be taking that much of my blood. I braced myself when he inserted the needle, but I felt nothing. We started talking about Fourth of July plans, and before I knew it, he was done. I was probably out of there in 10 minutes. It was the easiest blood draw I've ever experienced. It was a bit crowded, but I arrived early, so I didn't have to wait too long after my appointment time. Wrong addy.. Wrong floor. Awfully short hours of service. How short? They close at 12:30pm! Waste of my time even trying to get to this location. I came in and signed in on their IPad, I was #1 on the waiting list, then two appts came in, I got moved to #3 on the waiting list. And I totally understand that, I don't have an appt. I needed to get a pre-employment urine test done and actually went to the Quest Diagnostics office in Alhambra first, but was told they don't do it so I came here instead. There were 2-3 people ahead of me when I got there but the receptionist greeted me when I walked in. Checked-in and was called maybe 15-20 minutes after. The lady who assisted me was very professional, friendly, and polite. Locked my stuff in a container in the restroom, did my business, and exited. Initialed everything and she gave me the key to the container to retrieve my belongings. All in all, it was a good experience and the facility appeared to be clean. It's never fun to get your blood drawn, so I can understand the negative reviews. But I have always had a good experience here. I've been coming to Quest on Las Tunas for many years, first at their cramped first floor location, and now at their much more spacious second floor office. All the workers are women, African American and Latina, I've had my blood drawn by at least half a dozen women and don't have a single complaint. Sure, you have to wait half an hour sometimes, in fact most times, but that happens at any lab, they tend to get backed up. You just have to have patience no matter where they draw your blood. Getting testy only negatively impacts your own health. Once a patient was hysterical that the tech worker was going to hurt her while drawing her blood. I assured the patient that the worker had drawn my blood many times without the slightest discomfort. I even offered to switch workers, let her worker take my blood. The woman calmed down, had her blood drawn without incident, and left happy. Some people need multiple tests that take longer, so appointments can get backed up. There's plenty of free parking, and many medical offices are in the same building, plus Lucky Pharmacy on the first floor, so its convenient having everything clustered together. Not exactly a Medical Disneyland, of course! But better than running all over town for a pharmacy, your doctor's office and a testing lab. There's a very nice Vietnamese restaurant next door. I always stop by there afterwards for lunch. read more

I never had any problems with people drawing my blood for routine physical labs before because I've got good veins. Needle poke and lab drawn never bothered me until I visited this place. Walked into this lab center and waited 40 minutes for my turn and the lady drew my blood with a thick black needle and I was having so much pain during the process and felt like I cannot even move my left arm afterward. My entire arm was so sore and tender for the whole day and the next day, I developed so many bruises around my left arm (see photo). I also got a linear skin abrasion from the needle retraction. OMG, the staff need to be trained from the beginning on how to draw basic blood on people. I'm positive there are many other victims out there. I will never visit this place ever again! read more

Typical Quest lab. Poor parking. In the waiting room is a long line of people trying to use Quest's sign in tablet which is a failed approach to technology. Many customers cannot figure out how to use it or understand what information it is asking for, leaving the rest of us waiting in line. It's like a bad corporate joke on Quest's customers many of whom are elderly, infirm and sick. Does Quest greet them with a smiling face...no it's a tablet they cannot understand like a slap on the face. The people in front of me were struggling to use the tablet while the individual at the counter sat staring at them. No offer of help to those struggling, because Quest does not care. Quest's corporate mission statement seems to be 'We don't care.'. After 15 minutes when it's my turn to use the sign in tablet, it tells me I am 15 minutes late for my appointment, so I now have to wait with the walk ins. I turn to the unhelpful Quest staff member at the desk and ask why I should lose my appointment, because of the line for the tablet that does not work well. Her response was 'It wasn't 15 minutes' with a laugh. She was a Typical Quest employee who doesn't like the customers. So now the Quest display says I have to wait 11 minutes. 25 minutes later I get called. I finish after an hour thinking, that was quick for Quest. Quest got this way by buying up the competition. Now there is little competition, so Quest no longer cares about it's customers. read more

Front desk woman is such an imbecile. She got my test wrong and when I tell her, she insisted that it is correct! I have to ask the other staff to double check my tests. I ended up being poked twice due to the front woman getting my test wrong. And there's no soap in their bathroom. I am truly amused. read more

I just had my blood drawn at this lab. The technician Josh was very professional and knows his stuff. I have very small veins and usually it requires a few sticks. To make story short, he was able to draw my blood with no issue and I hardly feel any pain. Takes a special person to have the right touch in what they do. They advised compromised people to book the earliest appointments for safety from virus, so I booked 8:15 and came on time. The small waiting room had 7-8 masked people in it at 8:15 which made me nervous, but I entered and signed in. I was told to wait in the hall, which I gladly did. I waited 15 minutes and grew tired of standing. I heard no one's name called, I saw no one leave. I just saw more and more people coming. I had a bad feeling about this set-up and decided to let the desk clerk know I was leaving, but when I glanced in the room was even fuller with 2-3 people standing in line (masked) in addition to others seated. I just left and found another lab where the lab tech and I were the only people in the room. I'll never go to Quest again. I did not feel safe even tho' people were masked. I'm very disappointed. I went in to the location in San Gabriel, CA (Las Tunas Dr.) for a pre-employment drug screening today. I got there at 11:55 am exactly. The staff at the front desk notified me that they don't do drug tests past 11:30 am. This is odd, because when I called to make an appointment yesterday, the recorded message stated that no appointments were necessary and that walk-ins were welcome. The staff sent me to the lab in Pasadena, CA (Green St.). Annoyed, I headed straight there. I got there at 12:13 pm, but the main door was locked! The sign at the door said that it closes at 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm for lunch. My time for the drug test will expire on Friday, but this means will have to take off work from my current job again. Quest needs to respect people's time by 1) following through what the voice recording says, and 2) being there at the indicated hours of service. I did extra driving and to and from locations and got absolutely nothing done. So, I called the customer service number I found on Google and filed a complaint with Corey. He said I will receive a call back in 15 minutes as a follow-up, but I haven't received anything yet. I called at 12:43 pm, and over 1 hour later, I still haven't received anything. I also requested an email confirmation indicating I filed a complain, just so I have proof that I was actually there in case I am not able to complete the drug tests by the expiration date. The last thing I want is my new employer to think I'm avoiding the drug screening because I have something to hide. I work in the health field, so my professional experience with Quest has not been so great, either. Incompetence and lack or reliability when you're dealing with people, their health, and their lives is just not acceptable. read more

absolutely NO STAR at all, the staff (extremely rude and unfriendly at 416 W Las Tunas Dr., ste 204, San Gabriel, CA )who draw my blood first got my dr paper work, ID, insurance and took 20-25 minutes or so to input into her PC while I was waiting next to her! After that, she asked me to gave her my credit card, I explained to her repeatedly few times that this was an Annual Physical Checkup (blood test) lab work and I was told by my insurance that preventive care lab work was Free......I asked her/the staff some questions, she either pretend not to hear or said "HOLD" and said "I already told you you may need to pay $....so I need your credit or debit card"! I explained to her that was not my insurance company said, she was very rude and said she was busy so I better gave her my (money) credit/debit card or leave....I felt they want me to pay and my insurance company both pay..! End up later I talked to her supervisor and she was very unhappy and said ok then IF you need to pay, then we will mail the invoice and bill you if you do NOT want to give me your credit/debit card NOW! My visit was pleasant. It's located in the same building as lucky pharmacy which I had a tough time finding it. Parking was a little difficult to find so I parked right next door where LabCorp was and it was pretty packed there too. I arrived into the office at 9:57am as a walk in and wasn't seen until 10:45am. I had no problem and came to realize there were only two people working. One of the worker had to come back and forth to check in patients, etc. From what I've seen, although you have an appointment it'll also take awhile also. It can also get very crowded in the waiting room. Over all experience was pretty good. read more

Worst experience ever. They scheduled an appointment for me on a day they aren't even open. In addition, they confirmed it everyday this week, which was annoying but I figured they wanted to ensure I didn't waste their time. That said, they had no issue with wasting my time. In addition, there no way to contact a human. They know they're terrible so they make sure you can never speak to anyone. Quest has a horrible reputation and this further confirms this reputation. I would not recommend this location for pediatric blood draws. They drew adult-sized vials from my three year old, and I later found out that labs that specialize in pediatric blood draws should be using the smaller, child-size vials. This lab was not able to complete all the tests we requested because the blood draw was inefficient. We had to go to a lab for a second blood draw and they are able to complete the tests in one draw for what this lab said would take two additional trips. Either the lab technicians are not trained or this lab is not set up to be a true pediatric blood draw lab. read more

My waiting time was short but when I gave the lab tech at the front desk my paperwork from my Doctor they said they would not call an 800 number to get the doctors information that they needed for their form They were not busy only 1 person besides me in the waiting room. If they take a lunch break, you can't do the 3 hour sugar test into their lunch hours. But they don't tell you that until you get there. Then you will need to go to a different Quest. I've always picked this location to go to for my test and screenings. I've never really had to wait long. The staffs are nice and friendly. I appreciate the fact that they like to make small talk with me while I get my blood drawn. It helps keep my mind off the needle.
