If you have an infant and you take your child to draw blood here be very aware that these people will trick or force you to get the blood out using a tech who is NOT experienced in drawing blood of a child. Yes they are all trained in drawing blood of a baby but who is more experienced. Ask that question before you trust them with your baby. Otherwise Your child will be hysterically crying in pain while a large needle is Maneuvered in his or her arm. This happened to my baby. The tech names NOENA COULD NOT draw a single drop of blood because she INSERTED THE NEEDLE AT THE WRONG location. This after I held her down so strong in my arms that she could hardly breath let alone move. And then this tech NOENA blamed my baby for moving too much. Look at the balls of these ruthless, cold hearted people have. The head tech knew they fucked up so calmed me down and asked me to wait for Teresa, a more experienced tech. Teresa was very gentle and was able to draw the blood at first go. Why the hell they didn't use an experienced person to begin with?? My poor baby was left with bruised arms and had to go through this painful experience twice!!! Avoid NOENA when you take your baby there and ask for Teressa. read more

Worst place ever! Had a scheduled apt at 1:45 and have not been called back and it's almost 2:15pm I over heard from another patient they have been waiting for over an hour. What's the point of having appointments if they don't know how to go by apts. I made this apt time convenient for me to run over to the lab during lunch hour and this place has taken more than half of my lunch just waiting and they have called me over to see my paper work! I feel bad for the patients we have that we send to quest. If I could I would rate this place a 0! This place does NOT deserve one star. The apt slots are not helpful at all ! I only come here to bring my father for his lab work and each time we come the front desk is never friendly. They treat patients often like they are a burden interrupting what they are doing if they have a question. Today was pretty bad. The receptionist who was not often at the front desk (mostly in the back area shouting out instructions and corrective demands to phlebotomists) was completely lacking in the 'customer service dept'. There was an elderly only Spanish speaking patient come in to check in for an appointment ask her as best as she could in the mostly broken English that she was there for an appointment to receptionist responded quite annoyed to check in on the computer in "your language" and provided a very impolite smirk. Offered her no further assistance. Since I stood up to translate and help the kind elderly woman she made it apparent she was quite embarrassed that she was unable to complete the check in without help. While assisting the patient the receptionist directly looked at me with such disgust. This is beyond sad. People come here usually due to a medical condition and to be treated this way is outrageous!. I will certainly be looking for another location for lab work. Perhaps even a different lab. read more

When I arrived people were already complaining about the wait time. Unfortunately, there was only one phlebotomist working, so I sympathized with her situation. Also, personally, I'd rather wait and have my blood drawn correctly and with minimal mistakes if any then be rushed in and out. I am giving this Quest three stars because after getting my blood drawn, I was bruised and my arm hurt for days. It hurt when I moved it. This is not normal after having blood drawn. That in itself deserves one star. However, she only had to stick me once. Typically nurses or phlebotomists stick me three times or more. They usually are unsuccessful at drawing blood and bruise me. I have extremely small veins. It is never easy for anyone to draw blood. In addition, the phlebotomist was kind, and made me less aware of my discomfort with needles. Also she could tell right away that needles and I did not get along very well. I enjoyed my conversation with her while I was there. Those were excellent points in my experience, which boosted the rating up to three stars. Two days after visiting quest, my primary doctor sent me to BioReference Laboratories at 2605 South Winchester Blvd. Campbell, CA 95008 to get blood drawn. This lab was exceptional. They also only stuck me once, but without bruising or pain. The phlebotomist saw the bruising from before and he said the previous phlebotomist xmay have hit a nerve or gone straight through one because of the bruising and location she had chosen. She had taken blood were several nerves are. I confirmed that his information was true with my mother, who is a medical personnel. She said he was knowledgeable. He also explained everything he was doing and why, such as using a smaller needle because of my small veins and why he was choosing the area, etc. I feel a lot more comfortable at BioReference Laboratories. I won't be returning to Quest if I have a choice. read more

Had a very good experience here. The people were friendly and there was no line to wait both times I came in. The order my doctor gave me had and obtuse code on it so the Quest folks took the order, called the doc, got it clarified and called me when they were ready for me to come back (later the same day!). When I came in the next day they were ready for me, the blood draw went well, and I was in and out quickly. I was very happy with the service I got. read more

Never again. I made an appointment, so no complaint about wait time - 10 mins max. However, both phlebotomists I interacted with were marginally friendly at best, and one lacked people skills that are usually evident with medical professionals. They seemed more interested in getting the blood draw done quickly instead of patient comfort. I've had blood drawn at 2505 Samaritan and my experience was much better, but if possible I'll skip Quest all together. Heed the reviews and find another lab! read more

I've been sitting here for 30 minutes, and have only seen two other patients called back. I've seen staff members break HIPPA regulations, belittle patients both on the phone and in person. FOR SPECIAL NEEDS BLOOD DRAW, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I am a behaviorist and often accompany clients and their families to doctor, dentist, or procedural/surgery appointments. I accompanied a five year old with down syndrome and her mother and left extremely disappointed. The staff at this location are EXTREMELY INEXPERIENCED with special needs and customer service in general! The phlebotomist who led us back had (reggaeton) music playing loudly and took a long time to enter the order into the computer and gave no apology or explanation. To prevent sensory overload, mom requested she turn the music down. With no eye contact or response, she only slightly turned it down. Mom politely requested she double check the information to which she responded, "I always double check." This female phlebotomist did not demonstrate empathy or compassion throughout this ordeal. People who get their blood drawn, ESPECIALLY families of special needs DON'T WANT TO BE THERE ANY MORE THAN SHE DOES. She was unapologetic and demonstrated arrogance and a negative attitude. My daughter and I arrived there 8am and there was already a line. While waiting, an employee would call patients and shout -- mind you very rudely, to bring out their insurance card. One senior Asian man, who was approaching the lady was clearly miffed and told her she had it in his pocket clearly easily accessible and she said it again. I was beside the door and I could hear the senior respond to her in a firm tone as she continued to talk. When our turn came -- at around 9:10, it took a long time for my daughter to come out. I found out that they had a hard time drawing blood but what was strange was that instead of the usual procedure of tying the rubber around her arm, the technician just by looking at her arm, put warm compress. My daughter has small veins but in the past technicians are able to locate a vein. The technician had the temerity to reprimand her and talk to her about dehydration despite the fact that she told them she drank 2 bottles of water already that morning. She tried to reach out by talking to them in Tagalog which she noticed they were using and suddenly they switched to another vernacular which she did not understand ( found out later on that it probably was Ilocano) and yet she heard her refer to her in their discussion clearly showing that they were talking about her. WORSE!!! the technician, eventually forced drawing her blood and even moved the needle around while inside her vein. Can you imagine my surprise when she came out of the room, trying to control her tears and finally bawling her eyes out saying it was very painful. The technicians-- i don't know if it is only today, May 20, 2018 are very RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and clearly INCOMPETENT. I do hope Quest attend to this. She mentioned the technician as Catalina. I do not know who was the rude technician who was shouting. They apologized for the delay due to computer problems but this is not an excuse to be rude. read more

Remember a 4 is a great review. I am not going to give a diagnostic center a 5 unless they pick me up in a limo driven by a super model. Seriously, these guys are fine and professional. Angela was my last phlebotomist-- no pain on the needle going in. She was clear, well trained (kudos to Qwest on that),... Getting stuck inthe arm with a needle ain't a party but quality staff, they are clear about what is going on, etc. They even have water since some of us have to fill cups. They have small cups but I've been there so I brought in a 32 oz up to make sure I could deliver. They did not blink -- they get why you are chugging water. read more

I came today with a 10:30 appointment they couldn't find me in their system. So they gave me their customer service number to figure out the reason why I wasn't showing up on the system. They told me they'd see me once I called and spoke with the representative over the phone. The call only took less than 5 minutes wasn't seen till 12:30 never scheduling an appointment here again!! Awful experience. Got there at 9:30. No one working the desk that you can ask any questions to. A patient directed me on what to do, never been here before. No one taking temperatures for corona. They make you touch a touch screen check in. If you don't have an appointment, expect to wait for hours. Anyone with an appointment gets first in line ahead of you. The time said I would be waiting for 30 min. 3 hours later and nothing. The gentleman next to me said he had been there for 4 hours. if your fasting for your blood draw and you haven't eaten for hours, not good! I finally get the attention of the nurse and tell her I've been here for hours, she tells me i waited to long to have an accurate blood draw because i fasted to long WHAT!! They need to have more staff and someone working on walk ins and someone doing the appointments.The people who do walk in's are screwed. Last thing i want to be doing is hanging out in a medical office waiting room for hours on end during a pandemic. If you can't handle the influx of people who are walk ins, in a timely manner, then you shouldn't even be open for that. So no blood taken today, just wasted my time and put myself in jeopardy,(due to pandemic) for no reason. read more

I had an appointment and arrived 10 minutes early. I checked in on the tablet and within a few minutes was called to the desk. Personnel was pleasant and efficient--not overly chatty. (I'm sure to the delight of the others waiting to check in.) I was given a red card that said "appointment" and was ushered into the lab area. There were two people in front of me but since I had an appointment, I got called up first. It was two minutes after my actual appointment time so can't complain! The person drawing my blood had obviously done it before--a quick stick and I was out of the lab area in under 5 minutes. All and all much better than other Quest locations I've gone to. read more

Front receptionist is pathetic. Had an appointment to get a Health Check and blood drawn as required by my company. They have an arrangement with Quest Walked in and just a few patients were there. The receptionist took one look at my paperwork and then said their computers are down and they cannot do it, but I could go to any of the other locations their computers are up and running. At first thought I accepted, it, Life does happen. As I was walking out realized that other patients were being taken care. In fact the woman in front of me was sent to the back with her paperwork. Became pretty obvious the receptionist did not want to deal with me, or my Health Check, so made up a lame excuse. Will also be complaining loudly to the very large Health Insurance company I work for. This is not the first time I have had issues with Quest and that fell on deaf ears. First to there credit I did not have a appointment. However when I entered the place there was no receptionist. I signed in using the electronic pad and stated I had no appointment but filled in the requested information. When I sat down up on the screen it showed my estimated wait time was 11 minutes. About 1 hr and 30 minute later I was still waiting. Also drop offs were taking more that 10 minutes and the screen kept adjusting as people kept coming. Again I should have made an appointment but I felt the screen made no sense, drop offs should not be taking 10 plus minutes, and the place seemed really disorganized & understaffed. read more

This is my new go-to lab. It's clean. It's close to my house. I can make appointments online. They provide results to my providers reliably. My only problem with them came recently when I needed to pick up vials for stool samples for my two year old daughter. I didn't make an appointment for this, since I didn't think I would need one. I didn't think I would need to check in, either. However, I learned that either without making an appointment or without checking in (I'm not sure which), no one pays a lick of attention to you, even if you are standing in line waiting. I was so annoyed I left (I had other errands to take care of). I made an appointment for the next morning, and when they called me, I said all I needed was the stool vials. This was met with a "You don't need an appointment for that!" I don't expect stellar customer service, but I expect SOME customer service. That said, I'll probably still go here on an appointment basis. Cleanest lab I've been to. That's worth it to me. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. The most unprofessional office I have ever visited. This is the second time I have been sent to 2581 Samaritan Drive by my doctor. This is the second time I have given a urine sample with no results sent to my doctor. Second time my doctor was told they have no record of my visit! After waiting an hour, with no receptionist, 3 others in waiting room before me not checked in, I went into a treatment room and found a tech. I guess she just had me give my specimen to get rid of me, but then never entered it into the system. This business needs a serious shaking up by management. read more

Walked in and my husband asked a simple question if our paperwork served as an appointment and the woman behind the desk responded with some attitude and said "no." That was it. The only interaction we had with anyone here. We proceeded to wait for at least 30 minutes with no one ahead of us & we saw women walking by looking at us like we were invisible. This is the worst location ever!!!! the receptionist,an old asian lady she is so rude and unprofessional, I took my mom to get some blood work as walk-in, so we got there exactly at 9:23am on sunday August 14, there were a few people there waiting already, so we waited for 1 hour and people with appointments kept coming in and they were called soon, (I do understand they had an appointment) but half and hour after twice guys walked in at 10:00 am with appointment and they didn't even had their DR's order so the receptionist told them to go to their house and get it. 40 mins after they came back and the receptionist registered them and asked them to walked in room 3 is was already 11:00 and their appointment was at 10:00 am !!!!!!!!!!!! , so my mom was again put at the end of the line it was almost two hours of wait, I also saw that the receptionist was showing my mom's lab to another upset patient thinking that was her order, first of all she was violating HIPPA regulation and in second place she was supposed call my mom before the two man, it was not our fault they were not ready with their dr's order, they were supposed to reschedule or get to be seen after my mom and the other people with appointments, those two man had already lost their appointment since they got there at 11:00 am!!!, it is frustrating how the put the walk-ins at the end of the line every time somebody else comes in with appointment. This place sucks and the receptionist is pathetic and rude even with her own coworkers. My mom was never called and we end up leaving after 2 hours of waiting. The staff here works so very very hard!!! I sit here and watch the abuse the patients put in the receptionist. When all they are trying to do is get people in and out. They are carrying and truly compassionate. These people who work here are constantly getting GUFF from rude patients. Especially the ones that book appointments and show up 10-15 minutes late. Or there appointment is at 9:10 and they waddle in at 9:10 sign in and expect to go in front of the list when we all have been waiting. You have to understand when 15 people sign in between 8:30 and 8:45 thats approx 10 a patient wait time and children take longer. The attitude the staff gets is hurry hurry hurry with everyone, but when its my turn take your time. So you can listen to me complain about everything. My personal opinion is this. Treat these people with kindness, there doing the best they can with what they have to work with. They care about me and my family who I bring. I will continue to go to this lab.
