I had a very frustrating experience at Quest Diagnostics. Despite having a scheduled appointment, we waited for over an hour while multiple patients who arrived with appointments after us were called ahead. When we politely asked for clarification, the staff refused to explain the situation. What made the experience worse was the attitude of the young female phlebotomist. She was dismissive, rude, and simply told us to "sit down and wait" without offering any help or transparency. Even other patients noticed the situation and kindly offered to let us go ahead of them, which says a lot about how poorly things were being handled. If appointments are not honored or prioritized, it defeats the entire purpose of scheduling one. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location. read more

Every time I come here it's a problem. It's the closest quest to my house so I just try to deal with it but after today I will NEVER step foot in this location. The staff are all rude and I mean every last one of them. I had to do my glucose test today so she said come back in an hour. I came back the waiting room was empty and dark so I knocked on the door. I waited about 3 mins before a patient walked out, so I walked in to let them know I was back. The girl takes me in the room and proceeds to say you were 10 mins late so you have to do the test again. I was furious cause one I had fasted for nothing two she did not mention to me that I needed to be back in the chair within that hour. Rude female phlebotomist would not let me into the room to help with my 2-year old son's blood draw. The woman who actually drew my son's blood (as it requires additional support) was kind, respectful and great with my son - and in previous visit the kind phlebotomist allowed for both parents to be present. Ultimately, the lack of empathy, rude tone and closing the door on the mother of a 2 year old is unacceptable. She did not share her name, nor did she seem interested in allowing me to speak to anyone else, that said she is visually distinctive with large fake eyelashes. Be cautious if you have children that both parents are not welcome depending on which phlebotomist you're assigned. read more

I was so lucky they took me in as a walk in when I came here 40 mins before my appointment time by mistake. I thought it was at 8am but it actually was at 8:40am. A nice young lady helped me with check-in because I asked her if I could change my appointment to walk in. Since no one was there she helped me and I was able to be seen right away. The phlebotomist that took my blood was pleasant and very meticulous. I had to have 6 tubes of blood taken and he asked me to check the info on each one myself. He also chatted and made sure I was okay the entire time. It's so great to have nice phlebotomists working on me because I am such a baby when it comes to blood drawing. The waiting room had no staff, just a machine to check in with, which made the space feel impersonal and unwelcoming. The overall atmosphere was grungy and poorly maintained. After being called in, a staff member checked me in, but the experience quickly went downhill. I was directed to another room for the blood draw, where the phlebotomist was on her cell phone. She did hang up when I sat down, but her demeanor was cold and indifferent. She asked if I was afraid of needles, and when I said yes, she didn't acknowledge my response--just grabbed a needle and jabbed it into my arm without any care. It was painful, and when I mentioned it, she showed no concern. The entire experience felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a patient. The facility itself looked outdated and poorly kept, and the staff acted as though basic courtesy was too much to ask. This location is LUCKY to have Marilyn because she is the ONLY thing that turned my horrid experience into an OK one. The lab would have 0 stars if she wouldn't have been there. Let me start the story... called the automated number at 9am to make a 10am appointment. The automated line is annoying but works. I recommend the QR code appointment making option. -10am, arrived at lab. There was a family having problems with the check in kiosk. I attempted to log in as well, and the check in failed. There were about 5/6 people waiting to try to check in. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE WAS THERE TO HELP! As a matter of fact, technicians came out to look at us and then scurry to the back, without helping us. The one group of ppl left frustrated. I stayed. I tried to talk to a lab technician as she opened the door that called a gentleman that arrived after me back for bloodwork. She ignored my questions and tried to close the door in my face. At that time, MARILYN walked thru the door front door from outside. She was sincerely apologetic and saw the entire thing. She was the only thing holding any fragment of customer service together. Marilyn assured me this rude behavior by her teammates will be dealt with today. She called me back momentarily and was an angel performing my blood work. I didn't get her partners name but she was also very helpful. I cannot believe the associates looked out at the group of people having trouble logging on and went back ignoring their prospective customers in the waiting area. This was almost the worst lab experience I've ever had. I'm giving three stars ONLY based on one person that desperately tried to save the reputation of the lab. Is Marilyn's intervention was absent, I would have left and picked a different lab other than Quest. With my private insurance I have a choice of labs I can go to. If you go as a "walk in" you will need to have a physical insurance card. I had a copy of it on my phone, so I had to go home and make an appt. online instead of signing in as a "walk in." This place is located on Bird/Lincoln, next to Casa Villa. There are 2 kiosks and chairs in the waiting room. If you need help, you will have to knock on the door but unsure if phlebotomists can help as they are w/ patients in the back. I was called up on time. You'd be escorted to a room where you would need to confirm the information they have in their system. They will also need to see your ID as well. I requested lab work since I have not had a physical in over 5 years. Tram, the phlebotomist used the smallest needle (the butterfly) after I informed her that it's tricky to draw blood from me due to my heavy scar tissues / skin grafts. Thankfully she was able to get some blood out of me after just 1 unsuccessful poke. She is soft-spoken, thorough, and tried her best to be gentle. I don't have any issues w/ this place. Glad I went after holding onto the lab paperwork for about 6 months. I was lagging big time simply because I was lazy. Oh yeah, not sure what gets charged or I guess it depends on your insurance coverage. I had to pay $6. Not sure if they accept cash, but they take cards. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. My doctor faxed orders over (yes they have a fax line) and I was told they dont receive faxes. No offer to check for them. I confirmed with my doctor that they were faxed, and they it was to the correct location. I accidentally left my jacket there when I left, and upon returning for it a couple days later they looked for two seconds and told me their cleaners must have stolen it. Unreal. read more

It took over three weeks to get my test results. I've had the same test results in less than a week.

They denied doing my bloodwork, despite me driving 2:30pm and checking in. This place closes 3pm, but they stop seeing patients by 230pm, yet their website says no such policy. This is a dishonest and uncaring branch, would not recommend coming here. Don't make an appointment during normal hours, becuase they will just turn you away for no real or good reason read more

There check in machine need to be checked on. Docent make sends when you input all the info with your schedule appointment and if you don't have your ID to scan, it asks you to skip to next then it will give you a # number that they will call. Well the # never gets called and you ask to get help and question it they don't help you. Give you a attitude and close the door on you??? It was one of the workers a more mature woman. But I'm glad I talk to another profesional that actually did help explain more and got my son in to do his lab work. It has been while, but I am posting this now. In 2020, I took my 17 year old daughter for a blood draw. The phlebotomist seemed very short with my daughter and frazzled. For this reason, I decided to wait outside. When my daughter walked outside, she was very pale and swaying. She fainted right in the parking lot by the doorway. She banged her head on the asphalt in the parking lot. The phlebotomist made no effort to see how my daughter was feeling, she was just processing people as fast as she could. She could have guided my daughter to a chair in the waiting area and notified me to help my daughter. Instead, she just sent her away. I sent an email to Quest to complain about this incident and got no response. Ultimate, the message that I got from Quest is that they just don't care. read more

Today was another visit to this Quest location. This location and the other I go to has an automated check-in kiosk in the lobby. I went online to schedule my appointment. Most morning appointments were taken in the few days to the week I wanted to stop in. I found an early appointment a week away and scheduled myself. Easy online process - it gives an option to complete the check-in process and I recommend completing it. It saved time. Didn't have to check in the lobby kiosk, or do anything but read my text and click check-in "Im here" and it was complete. Sat in the lobby, a few patients were ahead of me. A few leaving. I was called in a few minutes later. My phlebotomist was Larissa. Quick, efficient, skilled, friendly and explained everything she was doing. She had several vials to fill but did it quickly and efficiently. The dreaded pee cup came out and she explained the instructions on what had to be done to get a good sample. Simple instructions to submit the sample. This was a great experience and although any lab visit is a risk with different variables, most of the visits are done well. If I don't understand what they are telling me, I ask them to repeat. Quest Diagnostics is a great lab service and their locations and online site meets my needs. read more

I feel like I'm at a nail salon.the lack of communication is awful especially when you have health related questions they don't know how to answer them with the lack of English skills makes it even harder. Don't waste your time with registering online. I registered online, including entering all my Vital Information, insurance number Etc. When I arrived there, they didn't have the information. Also they didn't have me registered for an appointment even though I had the barcode for the appointment.. Then they said that they did not have the order from the doctor. They said I would have to to leave, get another order from the doctor, and make another appointment.. I insisted they look for the order from my doctor. Guess what, they found it. I am not sure why the reviews are so bad! I had great experience. If you have booked your appointment in advance everything is superfast. They even have mobile check in which is great. Quest Diagnostics is horrible!!! Their online portal was horribly designed. No one ever answers any phone. The doctor's office claims they sent the lab test request multiple times. Showed up at the specific Quest testing site via an appointment made online and they say they don't have the test request! Can't call to confirm now that doctor's office claims to have resent the request both via fax and online portal. Still nothing in the MyQuest app, and no way to actually talk to a REAL PERSON!!! Quest Diagnostics sucks, use LabCore instead. Been using LabCore for years for mom and haven't had any problems. read more

So so SO sick of Quest Diagnostics and their horrrrrrible customer service. No one EVER answers the phone. In fact, it would seem there's no way to reach a human. Just an endless recorded loop. So in effort to find out if they can process a particular test, I walked in to ask. Why make an appt, stop taking Rx, fast, and go - wasting valuable days - if they can't process it? Never a receptionist anymore. Waited for someone to walk to the door. Finally, someone did. And she refused to answer the question. Didn't say, "I need to take care of the next patient, but I'll be back." Or "I'll send someone up to help you." She just walked away. Ten minutes later, no one else had emerged. I gave up. They were contacted no less than 6 times about billing secondary insurance, which each time claim to have the information already and also did not understand why it hadn't been billed. Then had my Insurance on the phone with their billing dept and they still could not get it right. Sent to Collections with no notification, could never provide a detailed bill, I could go on and on. Came here for a urine test as required by my employer. I came in and signed in at the kiosk as a walk in and was able to check in. Waited for about 30 mins and the employees there today were busy with patients. Finally was able to ask the phlebotomist (i believe) when she finished up with her pt to see how much longer the wait would be and she told me they actually don't take walk ins, and directed me to the meridian ave location and said they do take walk ins. Well... thanks I wish they would tell us that they dont take walk ins instead of having me sit there waiting. If i hadn't had flagged someone down to ask, i might've been there waiting for who knows how long. Not professional. Drove to the Meridian location right after and was accommodated within a min and got out of there within 15 min. Excellent customer service over at Meridian! Great little lab in Willow Glen, but limited hours and a little flaw. I made my appointment and registered online which was completely awesome! Parking was fine. With an appointment, I only waited about 15 minutes, with new patient registration completion as well. Other patients who did not make an appointment were taken after me and were still waiting as I was leaving. The phlebotomist was excellent which can be an issue sonetimes. I've been a human pin cushion before - many times. Blood draw was quick and easy; got the vein first time, with no discomfort. The results were ready and sent to my physician very quickly, maybe less than 24 hours. Amazing! The little flaw is they don't collect your copay or cost of labs at time of service, and they don't bill you after the insurance payment either. Well, you ask, then how do they get paid. Never had this before, but was told I needed to leave my credit card on file, and after the insurance pays - they will charge my credit card for the amount due. Now, I knew my copay amount but they refused to collect it. They gave me an estimate of charges that may be due after insurance billing, but I know that was inaccurate since I have a flat copay. Then, I say, will I be notified of when and how much will be charged. Answer is "they don't know how long it will take the insurance to pay the claim" and no - "no notice will be given" before the charge. I understand 100% why they do it, but it lacks the professionalism I would expect by such a large company. So, in summary, definitely make an appointment and register online. Be careful if you don't have a high limit credit card or using a debit card on a budget. Your lab charge could be run through at anytime and destroy your finances for the day, week, or month. read more

Don't go here the woman who attended me pricked me many times causing me to feel uncomfortable and in pain. They are very unprofessional and caused my arm to bruise terribly.
