We went in on Saturday morning, which my husband told me was a good time to go. We arrived around 11am, which proved to be the magic moment, as many people were leaving, and the waiting room was empty on our arrival. We COVID distanced, and so did the staff, who had prepared everything for no-touch transactions. We were called in to see the phlebotomist after a 15 minute wait in the large airy waiting room. All the staff was very patient with my mother, who has virtually no hearing left. I was able to stand right outside the cubicle while she had her blood drawn. The phlebotomist was efficient and the proceedure was quick, even though my mom has tiny veins, which are hard to find. The phlebotomist even complemented my mom on her pretty nail polish. We were very happy to get all good news results after a complete blood panel just one week later!

Turn around time for results was explained as 3-5 business days. Today - the 7th day after testing and the 5th business day, Med-Post said Quest Diagnostics is running behind and now says it will be more more like 10 business days! Of course Quest Diagnostics is closed for the July 4th holiday so likely no tests are being processed today. SLO Public Health Department has nothing to do with this private lab. It's unclear if the results even get included in our county-wide statistics for COVID-19. Don't bother with this company or getting your COVID-19 test at MedPost. If you need a Coronavirus test go to a SLO County Public Health facility so you will get your results in a timely fashion.

I had a wonderful nurse Rob who explained everything me! He was 6 pm to 6 am. There was also a nurse Leslie who was also great, I think she was a traveling nurse. I went to the ER as directed by my primary physician. I had been having stomach issues for over a…read moremonth. I'm pretty sure I got it from Taylor Farms salad package. Check in went smooth. Assessment by nurse I do think maybe it was just a tough day. She was quite busy. Called back to a room where I saw the ER doc. He stood at the door with mask on asked very few questions and said "norovirus is going around" he then came took my pulse and left. Next I'm having all kinds of bloodwork, CT scan of abdomen AND head. I had a week old bruise on forehead with no symptoms. Lots of blood tests etc... The only time I saw that doctor again was when I was leaving. He gave me a diagnosis. Diarrhea LOL I didn't need any of those expensive tests...I told him I had diarrhea. What a joke. A few days later I went into my portal to review and check all reports and test results. The doctor blatantly lied. He documented he did a full assessment. Lungs clear,abdomen soft non tender, wrote symptoms were for 2 weeks, it had been over a month. He went on and on, keep in mind the only thing he actually did was my pulse. False documentation can have legal consequences. I did have a fabulous, kind, thorough RN working with me. One of the best I've ever had. His name was Russ.
