Ridiculously long wait. Staff friendly but can't understand why taking sooooo long to do a blood draw and move people along.

We were called in to see the phlebotomist after a 15 minute wait in the large airy waiting room.

After I recently left a not so nice review concerning Wests Dermatology , I received a phone call…read morewithin 24 hrs from an employee that deals with training and or public affairs affiliated with West Dermatology. She explained and clarified the issues I had listed , to include listening to the phone recordings of my conversations with the receptionists to learn exactly what had transpired. First , I was surprised that my review was taken this seriously and that I was actually communicating with someone who wanted to make the situation right, which she did. I want to now say that I am pleased with the outcome and the display of good communication and professionalism that was given to me. Thank you!

West Dermatology is seeing too many patients and/or needs a change in staffing. I have been coming…read moreto them for about 8 years and it's been a growing struggle getting consistency. Last month they lost a cup of my urine and paperwork, both of which were essential for me to get Accutane. No one caught it or called me. Now I need to wait another month. You might think that cystic acne is not severe enough to warrant my anger, but this office sees people with cancer and conditions even more serious than mine. If they are losing my tests and results what's happening for patients whose test results and tests are much higher stakes? Losing things and failing to enroll me is costing another month spent waiting and letting my skin get worse. This is not the first issue I have had in the 8 years I have seen them, which is why I am saying something. All this is to prove a surgically infertile woman is not pregnant. The doctor knows I am not pregnant. They know I did the required protocols last month. I'm still looking at an extra month. One month of that is the inane iPledge program, but the other is entirely due to incompetence of West Dermatology. Tell me how a professional office loses a plastic cup of urine and a packet of paperwork when it is handed directly to them? These are large objects and not exactly easy to misplace. Between that and hearing a front desk staff member say she couldn't stand a patient (not me) that was in the office today, it's really clear they are seeing so many patients they don't really see their patients as people. Maybe more or different staffing would help these clerical errors and the professionalism.
