This was a very delightful surprise of a restaurant. I'm from the Midwest, and am used to brown fried rice. So needless to say, getting brown fried rice today was absolutely wonderful. The place was clean and orderly. The cashier was so sweet. It was my first time and she was very patient with me as I asked a lot of questions. The service and cleanliness of the place coupled with my daughter saying it was "okay" are the reason for the 3 stars. Let me preface how I felt about the food by saying I'm from NJ and NY/NJ Asian food is very different than other states. We are definitely harder to please with it. Since I literally make my own, I'm even harder to please. Now, I personally did not like the food. The rice was bland and oily. I wasn't even mad that when I asked for onions in the rice they gave me huge chunks instead of diced onions as with most restaurants. The lo mein was even more oily than the rice and also bland. The veggies were the only thing adding flavor. The wings were seasoned, but not my favorite. The rangoons were okay. I prefer real crabmeat to the imitation crab meat. The veggie egg roll was a spring roll, not an egg roll. The filling was very mushy. I was very disappointed with it. read more

I've been back a few times since my first visit. Each time the food was better than my first visit. I also very much appreciate that they offer vegan options. So few restaurants do in McDonough. I have had the black pepper tofu (my fave), garlic tofu (good), and vegan ramen, special request (so-so). Their service is always exceptional. They automatically substitute spring rolls for egg rolls when ordering a veggie or tofu dish for no upcharge. The food is prepared quickly and made to order. read more

Nasty. I've been here a few times but tonight was disgusting. It was never nothing to brag about but close to the house. My rice was mushy, felt like I was eating mash potatoes. The general chicken had so much breading and sauce I don't even know what was under it . Lastly the chicken egg roll was just the worst. This place looks like a little hole in a mall and it is a little hole in the wall which is a gym for phenomenal food and great service. First please know that they are only excepting takeout or pick up orders you cannot eat your food inside. It was our first time eating there so he did allow us to ask questions and place our order inside and then we waited on it. We ordered the pho soup as well as Yhai chicken noodle dish. From the outside you wouldn't think much of it but once you go inside you are welcome by a very friendly cashier. It is self serve, you order at the register and fill your drink/get your utensils from the counter. There are plenty of tables throughout the restaurant for couples and large groups. Now the service was WOW! We sat down and maybe in the next 5 minute we got our soup. Which was delicious, hot and sour soup is one of my favorites. Keep in mind it will come HOT, and I mean hot! It also had heat to it but it wasn't overbearing. Right after we had our egg rolls which were also delicious. Crunchy but chewy, I honestly preferred their veggie rolls instead of their shrimp ones. Now our even though we got 2 entrees I only tried the Penang curry. It was 7.99 and for that price it was what I expected it to be. It needed more spices to add to their flavor but it was edible. The portion size was also pretty impressive for that price. I asked my boyfriend for the total and it honestly surprised me. 2 soups, an appetizer and 2 entrees for $24. Wow. This place was fabulous!! Such an amazing surprise. It is a "hole in the wall" restaurant, and you will pass by it. But, it has the highest rating of most any Asian restaurant around. And there is great reason for it. The cashier was extremely nice and the chef that brought the food out was super nice. Surprised to find this very good Asian restaurant in the middle of nowhere! I got the chicken Ramen which was tasty and fresh. My wife got the chicken Kung Pao that was also yummy. The only reasons why it's not 5 stars is because the soda machine was down and the egg rolls weren't cooked right, very mushy inside. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. They have changed and are not what they used to be. The food used to be made fresh and the portions were large. Now the food seems like fast food Chinese take out. The lo mein was half of what I used to get for a much higher price. They do not have Mayo Chicken on the menu anymore. Their special seafood soup is so hearty and delicious. Only complaint : the fortune cookies are usually stale. I don't eat them but my kids and dogs do! Please don't believe the 4 star reviews. This place is awful. We decided to try this place on a Sunday afternoon and we were the only people eating in the place! I ordered the Panang Curry and it was not like any I have had. One of my daughters ordered the General Tso's Chicken and my other daughter ordered the Singapore Rice Noodles and neither one was any good. To me it's very hard to find a good Chinese place. It's like they all order from the same supplier so they all taste similar. The Panang was chicken, bell peppers, onions, & celery tossed in a not so great sauce. Terrible. The best dish was the General Tso's and that wasn't saying much. The fried rice was among the worst I've ever had. So it was really bad food delivered with a smile! I will definitely not be back. I work pretty close to this restaurant, so I thought I would go here for lunch after reading some of the reviews and seeing that it was a new restaurant. First of all, I would classify it as a hole in the wall restaurant. It is in a small little used plaza near a day care and it has that character that only an non chain restaurant can achieve. I noticed polished cement floors and a clean bathroom rather than standardized decorations. One reviewer noted that it was on the warm side and I would agree with them. The staff was helpful and friendly. I always like to note what type of soda/beverages they serve and that would me Coke products. The food: I tried Udon noodles done in a spicy manner and with chicken. They were not too spicy but just enough to add a good flavor. Concerning the chicken, it was quite good. I have had some terrible chicken at Oriental restaurants, but this was not one of those. I will need to try a few more chicken dishes to make sure it is as good as the first time. I am thinking about taking my wife there but she does not eat starches and that would discount rice and noodles. I found the food blended well and the presentation was tasteful. While I'm not a fan of egg rolls I found the egg roll they served to taste good enough. In the end, it is not good enough to get a five star rating but good enough for a repeat visit. read more

I ordered the steamed pot stickers, egg rolls, Thai basil shrimp fried rice and Malaysian Chicken Noodle. The Thai basil shrimp fried rice and Malaysian Chicken Noodle was okay but the steamed pot stickers, and the egg rolls were delicious. You were able to taste the flavors of each dish and the sauce that accompanied the pot stickers was really complimentary. Also the egg rolls and the pot stickers weren't dry but had the right consistency when you bit into it. Glad I got a chance to order when I did because people started coming in droves. Being half Asian, I have been looking for a good Asian restaurant since I moved to Henry County. I grew up eating Thai food cooked in the home. I worked in Chinese restaurants growing up and got to eat real food after the restaurant closed. This is the best! Not filled with sugar. Most authentic Pho I have found off of Buford highway. Not a big fan of the Pad Thai, but the Mongolian beef was very good. My mother in law had the General Tso's Chicken and she says it's the best she has had. I guess if I want Thai dishes, I will cook them at home, but the Chinese food and the Vietnamese Pho where very good. I will be a regular customer. YUMMY!! First off, I rarely review any restaurant. After having lunch, I had to share the news about this place. I was skeptical because like most people we already had a "go to" Asian restaurant. We wanted to try something new and there were several options on the menu we hadn't experienced. I had the Malaysia Char Kway Teow with shrimp. When it arrived at the table I wasn't so sure. Presentation wise, it simply looked boring. Then I started eating and my opinion quickly changed. There is so much flavor in that broth and noodles. It's one of those dishes you want to tell friends about. My wife must have said how good the Ramen was between every bite. The Thai Sweet Chili wings were very meaty with a good flavor. The price point was great. $6.99 for noodle dishes with drink and egg roll. I wouldn't change a thing. read more
