We went here today based on a recommendation, and oh my goodness--everything was absolutely delicious! All the sauces are made fresh in-house, and you can really tell the difference. The ambiance was spot-on too: the place felt so clean and fresh-looking, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everyone loved what they got. For appetizers, we shared the crab Rangoon and coconut shrimp--both were super yummy! Our main server wiuld suggest a couple of dishes based in our preferences n man...she was on point. Barry had the crying tiger( grill marinated ribeye steak, Thai style)...one the the best steak that I had ever tasted. Better than Marcel, Fogo or Capital Grill. The papaya salad medium spiced is hot but delicious. If you can't handle spice get mild or lower. The larb chicken is perfectly made with all the herbs and rice powder. Staff is so nice and welcoming! Went here with my family (party of 5). We've only ever known one Laos restaurant in ATL area which is in Duluth, but Mo Thai is SO much better! Us being Laos have high expectations and they hit all of them! The chili oil and other sauces on the table were GOOD. Chili oil had a kick! We ordered the platter off the Lao menu and we had food leftover! Platter is huge and worth it! Papaya salad was delicious, I love that things are actually spicy here! And the coconut juice is the Foco can that we drank all our childhoods. I really hope this place keeps this level of satisfaction when it blows up! read more

I've been to this restaurant twice in the same week. On Wednesday, I ordered the spring rolls, crab rangoon, and the Crying Tiger--everything was absolutely delicious. Because of that great experience, I returned on Saturday to order the spring rolls and crab rangoon again. Unfortunately, this visit was a complete disappointment. When I got home and bit into what I believed was a spring egg roll, it tasted awful. I opened another one under proper lighting and realized it was pork. I do not eat pork, and I immediately felt sick to my stomach. I called the restaurant to report the issue, and the employee told me they "forgot to update the menu" and that the spring rolls now have chicken. Then he claimed they've always had chicken in them, which made no sense. I know what I ate, and I know the difference between vegetables, chicken, and pork. Don't piss on me and tell me it's raining. I went back to the restaurant with the food to show them. They didn't look at anything, they refunded me for the egg rolls (which I appreciated), but there was no apology, no acknowledgment of the mistake--just a refund and silence. With all the employee eyes on me like I did something wrong. Very much a vibe of take your refund and go. The lack of accountability and basic customer care was shocking. I will not return to an establishment that refuses to take responsibility or show concern when a customer is served something they explicitly do not eat and becomes ill as a result. If you decide to order egg rolls here, I strongly suggest opening them before taking a bite. read more
