I don't think I took a photo this time of my food when I went so no Photos, but I will say that it was really clean atmosphere smaller than what I expected. I don't know why I thought it was gonna be a little bit bigger, but no worries it's still kept the amount of people that needed to be kept and it wasn't overcrowded. Just WOW. My family was craving Thai and found this location close to us. We weren't expecting much but were hopeful. Hunny when I say this place BLEW US AWAYYYYYY!!!!! WOWOWOW! The FLAVORS here are amazing. This is hands down one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to in a LONG TIME. And to top it off, EVERYONE loved their food. I am from out of state, just passing through and doordashed this place. And holy WOW I ordered the mango sticky rice, potstickers with the curry sauce and the spring rolls. Everything was delicious, the cabbage was still crunchy and refreshing. The sauces were even better . Maybe a little more rice with the sticky rice but the mango and the coconut sauce was AMAZING. I was in the area after taking my car for service and figured I'd try Red Orchid. The place was kind of dark, but nice and clean. The servers greeted me as soon as I walked in. The server at the register was sweet and answered all of my questions with it being my first time there. We ordered the Pad See U with Shrimp, Drunken Noodles with Beef, and the Thai Fried Rice with Vegetables on the lunch menu. The server gave me two sauces. One was super spicy and the other was a mixture of sour and spicy. The food was plentiful and well made. I couldn't try the rolls since I can't have gluten, but they looked good. I was very surprised to find this quaint little place while on the road. I was hungry and I wanted something light and tasty. I did a quick search on Yelp while sitting in gridlock and Red Orchid Thai Cuisine popped up first. I took a quick detour and found the corner restaurant in a small strip mall. Once inside I was able to choose my own seat. I was warmly greeted and quickly addressed by the wait staff to see what I wanted to drink. I decided to order the spring rolls for my appetizer and the pineapple fried rice with tofu. It took about five minutes for my rolls to come out. There were three golden brown piping hot rolls that arrived with a nice sauce. The rolls were crispy yet tender. There were plenty of cabbage and carrots and it was delicious. A few minutes later the pineapple fried rice arrived. I was pleasantly surprised by the complexity of flavors that this freshly cooked pineapple in this rice was not over sweet, but that it provided a punch of flavor that well complemented and balanced on the plate. I found this small restaurant very clean and tidy. I would recommend eating here. read more

I came to this restaurant with my mom after a long day of community service at school. I was super hungry and needed something to eat immediately. So we went here and ordered lots of food and I just couldn't wait to get home so I could try it. Let me tell you, when I tried it I was shocked. The food was absolutely delicious especially after running on nothing but caffeine all day. The service was quick, the cashier was very kind and respectful, and the restaurant was neat. Meeting a friend for lunch and chose this place based on reviews. Food was good, but the curry definitely needed more coconut milk or something, it was more watery than compared to most restaurants I've tried. The staff was friendly but the waitress did forget to bring out our appetizer and we had to remind her at the end of our meal (we still wanted it lol). There was a good amount of people coming and going so clearly it's a local favorite. We discovered Red Orchid via its Yelp reviews while on a road trip, searching for something healthy. We arrived around 2pm, so there were only a few customers at the time. The hostess/waitress was very pleasant, and had time to give us a little background on the shop and the owners, whose Laotian and Thai background influences the food. We liked the conversation enough to dive right into the experience, and ordered several items from the menu to try. Most menu items are very reasonably priced so this isn't a budget buster. We started off with a Thai-style papaya salad and chicken pad thai for appetizers, both of which were REALLY good. For the entrees, there were a bunch of attractive options to choose from. Because we can rarely find it, we opted for the tiger cry beef. Red Orchid makes a very good rendition of it and I would definitely order again. We also ordered the basil duck, which was excellent! The chefs did a great job adjusting the spiciness to your preferences. We ended up with plenty to take home for another fine meal. I'd absolutely return here next time we're in the area. What a great little accidental find! While traveling on Interstate-75, my husband's and my first attempt for non-fast food options was a bust, so through other YELP reviews, we found ourselves at Red Orchid Thai because it was in the vicinity and had pretty good ratings. The restaurant is located at the end of the McDonough Village South strip mall. This is a family-owned place, and though the interior is simple, the friendly service, the food, and the value for what you get earns every star on this review! I ordered a Thai Iced Tea, and--served in a large pilsner--it was the biggest one I've ever received! Refreshing and delicious, and I could taste the brewed tea, so I knew it was fresh and legit. Thankfully it wasn't overly sweet, either. We wanted to sample several items, knowing we would take some things home. Papaya Salad (prepared Thai-style, versus Laotian-style) started us off, and that was the best papaya salad I've ever had!--Perfectly seasoned and the spice level (Thai, versus Laotian) was just right. Chicken Pad Thai followed with perfectly seasoned sauce that was more savory than sweet (and it wasn't too orange in color--yay!). I ordered the Tiger Cry Beef (which, I haven't found a restaurant in/near my new hometown that offers this dish), and it tasted FABULOUS! It was a generous portion of tender meat, and the spicy dipping sauce that came with it was such a perfect compliment--I spooned some over the hot rice, and enjoyed every bite. My husband's duck looked good, as it arrived with a variety of colorful vegetables (I didn't try it, since I'm not much of a duck person, but he enjoyed it). I highly recommend this place!
