Brought my son here on 12-23-2024 for possible strep throat since the Crystal River location is still closed due to flooding. The front desk and Dr/PA were very nice and professional. Very thorough testing and explanations... an overall very nice experience. Be carful reading the negative reviews (like I did) since most reviews are done by people who didn't have a good experience, not happy people. read more

if I could rate zero I would, doctors and front desk people extremely rude . Do not pay attention to detail when filling out forms, write wrong dates and names on medical forms. bathrooms dirty as well as waiting room. read more

They were rude at the front desk and insisted I pay a copay even though my insurance card states "0 copay" on my card. They were frustrated with me for pointing this out which I have every right to do. I said I would go ahead and pay after about 30 seconds of discussing this (so not long), then the doctor came into the lobby and said "we are going to speed up this process up "and took the people who came after me in and treated them while I waited another 30 more minutes. I arrived at 6:00 p.m. and someone came in around 6:10 and was told they couldn't treat them even though the hours say 7:00 p.m. it was clear they were more focused on getting out the door at 7:00 than taking care of their customers. To top it all off they said they sent my prescription to the pharmacy across the street and that pharmacy never did receive the prescription after I waited there 45 minutes. Of course the employees at the clinic were out of there as soon as 7:00 hit so I will have to wait until tomorrow to go back and have them send in the prescription. Not the kind of customer I expected at an Urgent Care place while feeling awful. If you need compassionate people when you don't feel well, avoid this place even if you have to drive farther! read more

Can not say enough good things about the staff. My son cut hand riding his dirt bike and they took amazing care of him . He has bad anxiety and they did everything they could think of to help keep him calm. Including grabbing him a fan from office cause he was hot. Absolutely horrible care! Staff is rude. Use of a tablet for all sick people to touch to fill in all demographics and insurance info. Collects co pay up front. Leaves you sitting in the waiting room for over 2 hours. No direct call is available to the office. The only number is to the corporate office. Couldn't leave a complaint because the corporate office voicemail was full. My daughter (18 years old) was sick and uncomfortable. Crying in pain. The receptionist couldn't give us even an estimated time to be seen after the already 2 hour wait. It was not crowded at all! Left and went to another location and found out she had strep and her HR was 150. They hooked her up to EKG because they were so concerned. Temp was 103. Office is disorganized, incompetent, lazy, and rude. Never again! Please save your time and health and do not go to Homosassa Quick Care. There are tons of reviews like this. I went to this clinic on a Friday afternoon, with no one else in the waiting room. I'm a former office nurse and currently working in another capacity in the medical field. I waited an hour to be seen as the staff continued to joke and cut up. When the MA finally brought me back to the exam room, she stated "Let me see if I cleaned this room yet" which was a little unnerving. With flu season in full swing, shouldn't you be sure?! I waited over an hour to be seen. So there is no quick care or sick now be seen now. The care has been good here, not great. Beware of pricing. No insurance pays$90 for sick visit and I was charged $115 with my issue. So I actually paid $25 more for having insurance!! read more

Am hoping these folks read these reviews and take the comments to improve their business. Went in the other morning at 10:30, were told to come back at 11:45 so we wouldnt have to wait. Returned promptly and were told that they would now call. Eureka, the phone rings 45 minutes later, all this time we waited in a hot car. Am taken to a room in the back and I hear the doctor speaking to someone. She disappears and for a half an hour everything is silent. I poked my head out the door three times and see no one. Finally I go to the front and I see someone and I asked "did you folks forget me?" She seemed a little upset that I would even ask. Oddly enough, the doctor knocks on the door less than a minute later. They really need to do a better job scheduling, and communicating with each other. I think I might still be there if I didnt go look for someone. read more

My family and I live in Homosassa Springs and have used Quick Care Med on six different occasions. I went there yesterday with a sore throat and flu like symtoms. as usual I received prompt, courteous, and professional care from Nurse Bambi and her staff. I was in and out in 45 Minutes. 24 hours later my sore throat is gone thanks to nurse Bambi's shot. Obviously the people that complain about wait time have never spent seven hours in the county hospital's ER. We in Homosassa are fortunate to have an urgent care with the quality of nurse Bambi and her staff. read more

We've visited this place 4 times now - all when we are visiting my folks in Florida. We live in California. I must say, their staff is courteous and caring; place is clean, and they get you right in. Dr. Bambi is always awesome, knowledgeable, and helpful. Hope I don't need to come back (on account of having sick kids every time we travel lol) but if we do, I won't mind! read more

I have been to this office twice for work related immunizations. The people are nice enough but clearly overwhelmed, and I have never waited less than an hour to be seen--and all I'm getting is a shot, I don't even need to see the doctor!! After the first time I gave them another chance, thinking I just caught them on a busy day, but waited over an hour then too. And there were only two people sitting in the waiting room, both of whom stated they had been there over an hour. They clearly need more staff, a sentiment that was expressed by two of the staff members. In the future I will go elsewhere, even if the drive is farther. read more

Went to Urgent care Homosassa, Florida today. They should be arrested! They took my medicare and also charged me another $165. out of pocket. I am supposed to only have a $50 co pay. They did nothing for me I had to go to the hospital ER for help. Never go there again. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO TO THIS DEN OF THIEVES. read more

I really want to give this place zero stars but the app won't let me. I cannot understand how this place is in business! We arrived after my son cut his foot very badly at a nearby beach. It was bleeding profusely and he was in an extreme amount of pain. The person at the front didn't seem to know what was going on and was unsure if they could do anything for him. Keep in mind that this is an urgent care facility...we needed urgent care. The nurse or pa or doctor or whatever she was came to the front to look at it. My son was very upset and crying and all the woman kept saying was "suck it up" "just calm down" and "stop acting like a baby". She said that he could use some stitches but was reluctant to do anything because he was so upset. She told us that just letting it heal on its own is probably the best option. We left without stitches because we really didn't want to continue being treated like sh$t. Poor bedside manner!!! When we went to the Walgreens nearby and told them of our experience, the woman at the counter said "ya, could have told you not to go there, they are awful!" read more

Wish I could give this place no stars. Took my 17 month old daughter in here to get taken care of. Came in there at 3:30 in the afternoon and they close at 4. The delightful individual behind the counter seemed to be busy getting her stuff together and not paying attention to customers. She told me to fill out my Information on the computer. After checking in, she said that I owed a deductible but I should have a zero dollar deductible because of my insurance plan through the military. I asked her to call my insurance company but said she was not calling them on Sunday. By then, it was 4 and she said we could bring our daughter back tomorrow so we can take care of the deductible issue. This is an Urgent Care. Feeling like this place is incompetent, I took my daughter to the ER instead. read more

Wish I could give a negative rating. Feel like these people are asking for money that isn't required... And upfront as well! I have insurance that has a deductible of $40... Went in and was told that it was going to be $115 upfront. I had been in extreme pain for about a week now and was just trying to get some urgent care. Was a little mad about the random cost that I've never had be that high before, but I just wanted to get checked out. Was told they can't do anything until I pay all the money upfront. I told them I only had $50 to my name at the time... And asked if I could pay the rest through some sort of payment plan, or when I had the rest of the money. They said they need all the money upfront, and refused to check out the problem. I was sent away while still in extreme pain, wondering what to do. So much for urgent care...
