Lovely large chunks of onion for my sub. Disgusting.
    Heidi A.

Ordered a simple Italian sub that now resides in our garbage can with 2-3 bites out of it. How you can F something this simple up is beyond me. First, get a load of the onions in the pic. Who is going to chomp into a CHUNK of onion. The roll was dry and stale - where are the rolls you always use? Two tiny pieces of lettuce the size of quarters and practically no dressing. Gross.

Like most Quick Cheks, the convenience store is very clean and well-stocked. Staff is attentive and makes sure cold and hot foods are always available. The food prep is quick, despite many orders, and I've never had a problem with an incorrect order. There is plenty of parking and the gas station attendants are always very friendly.

    No kidding!

This is one of the more modernized locations that I pass by every time I go to and from work. Aside from having the usual convenience store, they also have a gas station in the front. Some parking is available on the sides and front of the store. It's located right next to the Hillsborough Promenade area. This is actually one of the biggest locations that I've ever been to. When I walked inside, I was surprised by the size of this store. It was quite big, and everything was spread out. The coffee area was on one side, and the deli was on another. The frozen food and beverage cooler areas were on other sides as well. Of course, in-between the sides were the aisles of snacks, baked goods and more. Towards the front on the right-hand side was a seating area for patrons who wanted to relax and enjoy their coffees and/or meals. Also in the front was the check-out area, with self-check-out machines. Wow, it's the first I've ever seen a self-check-out area in a convenience store. I went in here for some self-serve coffee. When I got there, I noticed that the Whoopie Pie flavor wasn't available. When I inquired about that flavor, the person behind said that it would be done in one minute. Of course after the wait, the flavor came out and it was hot and fresh. That flavor consisted of a mix of chocolate and marshmallow flavors, just like a real Whoopie Pie. The flavor was spot on. They also had the Nestle Toll House Choco-Chip Cookie Flavored creamer for mixing in with the self-serve coffee. I mixed it up, and what resulted was a unique, tasty experience. The coffee creamer area looked clean and organized too. I also came here for some Tic Tacs. Because I had a Facebook coupon for one free pack, I decided to redeem this for that. Because I wasn't sure if the self-check-out area would accept Facebook coupons, I went to a person to redeem that and pay for my coffee. The person at the register had a nice attitude. Overall this is a big and nice location. Maybe I'll come back for more coffee in the future.

Finally I tried again and this second time I was able to try some of their offerings. I came on a Saturday and they were hosting DayLite Jersey House Music event. It was LOUD and packed with people just standing around. The vibes were cool though. My friends came before me and were able to snag a table in the back room. I went up to the counter to order. Unfortunately my first choice, a matcha latte, was sold out. I asked if they had any other options because I'm not much of a coffee drinker. I was told that there were flavored lemonades, I asked the about the flavors and the person who was helping me wasn't sure so they went and asked another person who ended up coming to list the syrups and just ringing me out. I ordered a blueberry lemonade and a blueberry pop-tart to go. Everything was fine until the end of our time there. As we were getting ready to leave I grabbed what I thought was my cup and took a quick sip to finish it off so I didn't have to carry it around. Turns out I grabbed a coffee from the table instead. I thought it was my friend's so I apologized to her about drinking her drink because I didn't realize I grabbed the wrong one in the dark. She goes, "oh no it's not my drink...I have mine in my hand." I'm like whose drink and dishes are these? She said that they were there before they got there and they just pushed it to the side. Omg I almost gagged, I just took the biggest sip of some random person's drink by accident. At that point I get up to go to the bathroom to rinse out my mouth. While I'm gone by friends get their things ready and also wait outside the bathroom, which is right by our table. As soon as I get out I walk back to grab my pop-tart and it was gone, cleared away by the staff in a matter of minutes. Crazy that they left the table with dishes and cups when we got there but when we were leaving they were in a rush to clear away everything that they take my basically full pop-tart too. I was so defeated at that point I just left. To note, I did take one bite of the pop-tart and it was actually very good. My lemonade was fine, nice and tart. Overall service is kinda lacking but it was also a crazy day to visit with an event going on so I can't really comment on how they are normally. I don't think I will back because I don't know if I can recover from swigging some rando's drink.

What we ordered: - Strawberry Matcha Latte - Pandan Macaron We enjoyed both of our items. The service was interesting. I can't say that it's quite a negative or a positive. Since it was our first time there, we took some time to look at the menu and came with questions when we ordered. I saw that they have a matcha latte on the menu but nowhere did I see any specials or what syrups could be added to the matcha. Because of this, I asked the person checking us out if they had any syrups and if they could be added to the drinks. He listed off the syrups (vanilla, hazelnut, etc) and also included a "strawberry puree" in the list. So I considered that and said I would order it with the strawberry puree. The woman who was making the drinks beside him then said something along the lines of "so you're ordering a strawberry matcha latte". Like I was suppose to know that and order that way. I responded "yeah, I guess so but is that on the menu because I don't see it". Then she confirmed it's not on the menu. I didn't know if it would cost more or if it wasn't suppose to be included as a syrup or if she was training him. It was just an odd interaction rubbed me the wrong way though and left an uncomfortable feeling for me. We were going to enjoy our stuff there but after that we decided to take it to go. I'm not sure if I will return as it is not a local spot for us and we made a special visit out there to try it. My drink was good and the macaron was also yummy. I would recommend it regardless because their stuff is good and my interaction could just be a one off.
