If I could give this place 10/5 stars I would. Anytime I had a computer issue, I would take it to a store in Long Beach, they weren't always nice and charged more than they should. Thank goodness they were closed (even though all of the signs on their door and google indicated they should have been open). I found Quick Fix. Fable was so patient while listening to all of my concerns for my wife's laptop. I mentioned that there were some files she needed that day for a graduate class project. Fabel was able to unlock the hard drive and put the files we needed onto a usb drive, which he let me borrow to get the files home. When I asked how much it would cost to fix the laptop, I was quoted a price WAY LOWER than the computer store I had frequently gone to. The computer was fixed two days before the estimated date. I messaged this shop telling them issue that I had with my MacBook redirecting my browser to bing/search marquis. They told me it was a virus and that they could fix it for $75. I said awesome! Drove over and explain to them the issue. Their solution was to wipe my entire computer out for $75 and pick it up in 4 days. If I wanted to actually try to save my data on the computer I had to pay $125 and If I wanted it done faster I would have to pay another $25. Me not knowing about computers and also barely making it by due to covid I agreed to the $75 bc it's what I could afford and was like "ok, but you seriously have to wipe my entire computer out?" I had done research before on how to fix it and it seemed easy enough, but I wasn't really trying to risk me doing more damage. Finally I said "well ok, if this is what we have to do. Then let's do it." The only thing I asked was to save some info from my google sheets. So they put that on an SD card. After I left I called 3 other shops explaining my situation and they told me wiping my computer out was not necessary and they would it done with in an hour. Another shop told me, "if we have to wipe it out, then we can just back up your info in an external hard drive and load back on. You'll just have to pay for an external Hd which is $60." I thought, uhhh why can't this shop back my computer up and do the same as these other shops? So I went back, ask for my computer back, took it to another shop 15 mins down the road and guess what? My computer is fixed, nothing had to be wiped out, and it was done in less than 35 mins for $80! Totally worth the $5 more. Not to mention they also installed a virus protection that I had asked this shop if they could install and they said no, but could show me companies to look into myself. If I would have went with this shop I would have been out of work for 4 days, technically longer bc I dropped it off on a Saturday and they said it would be ready by Thursday and I would have lost out on a lot of money bc I work from home on my computer. Not to mention I would have paid $5 less just to have my entire Mack book wiped out and loose all of my Microsoft business, apps, and music. The only reason why I'm giving this shop 2 stars is bc Josh, the guy I dealt with was incredibly nice. But at the end of the day still offered no reasonable solution until I dug deeper about other options. Wiping someone's computer out should be the last option. Not the first. Do yourself a favor and please check around before you decided to take your machine here. After making the original review of this business, the manager of this establishment has continued to harass me to remove my review and to change my review. I have told him repeatedly that I am not going to change my review bc that would be lying to the consumers who use this as a reliable resource. Take this into consideration when deciding to use this business for your computer needs. My laptop had been warning me that my battery was dead for months, but I ignored it until one day when it literally would not turn on anymore. I called Quick Fix and they gave me a quote over the phone and said I could bring it any time. I took my laptop to them the next day. Alan said they'd replace the battery and dust out the inside while they were there and it would take a couple days at most, depending on when the battery was delivered. They called just a few hours later because they had a battery in stock and I had my laptop back that same night! Really appreciated the communication, the fast turnaround, and the clear pricing (which was basically the same as what Dell quoted me, except Quick Fix had it done way faster). 3.5 stars Came in for liquid damage to my Macbook Air. It costs like $39 or something to have them check it out if you have water damage. I had them replace my keyboard because the keys were sticky after beer spillage ($199). Happy with my new keyboard! However, I had to wait everytime I came in. Also, after I picked up my new laptop, I found trackpad problems (the trackpad was loose and making noise), so I had to bring it in and wait to seen and wait for them to fix it. This is the second time I've been here. My laptop is practically brand new, hardly use it but now I need to start using it for work and personal use. Since the last "tune up" it wouldn't connect to the internet and it wasn't a big deal since I hardly used my laptop but now I need to start using it so I needed to get it fixed. First time going to Quick Fix for my 2017 Mac Book Pro, and I'm very pleased. Alan responded immediately through Yelp the night before and I dropped off the following morning choosing their 1 day diagnostic option. Happy to say I picked up my Mac Book by 5pm that same day with a brand new Hard drive installed after the assessment. Prior to this I had been dealing with Apple Support for two months over the phone and a visit to the Cerritos location and all were unable to accurately diagnose the issue. But, they were more than ready to walk me into a new Laptop and to tell me mine would be obsolete to service in about a year. Went in and got a replacement screw from Josh who was truly BAFFLED when I brought my rig in with the PSU in pieces after I went looking for that errant screw. My laptop stopped working after running a Windows update. Took it in to have these people to check it out. Had some crucial files on there that I could not afford to lose. Winter is the person who took my equipment. Didn't really want to listen to any of the details of what transpired. Had the attitude of we'll get into your files. Definitely confident , but my problem is winter and everybody else I talked to there kept telling me how the hard drive was trashed and needed to be replaced AND said that computer companies put old hard drives into new products. Yes they said that. If computer companies did that, they would be out of business. The next day I got a call and was told that surprise, indeed my hard drive was trashed and would need replacing and it would cost me upwards of $300 to clone my hard drive to a new hard drive. Fortunate for me, a friend who does IT asked to see it and within 24 hours had all my files back on the so-called "trashed hard drive". Disreputable and dishonest and disinterested are some of the words that I would use to describe this store. read more

After my laptop charging port finally gave out I came to these guys. They meet did the job quickly (no rush services requested). When turning the laptop on at the shop, I noticed it took longer than usually to boot up. It had been quite a while since I have seen it boot up so I figured it wasn't much of anything, but unfortunately that was the beginning of my troubles. My battery was already on its way out, and it only managed to charge once before it became drained forever. That is fine since I already expected to use the machine as a desktop, but then laptop would only stay powered for 10~ or so minutes on the AC adapter before instantly shutting down. After running my own tests I was convinced something probably went wrong with the reassembly (power port was all fine, never lost any power from the adapter). I called and shop to explain my issue, and Fabel (wonderful guy by the way) asked me to drop it back off only this time it would be covered under their warranty. He attempted to run embed viewer when he received the laptop yet not only was the same problem experienced, it took a while to load anything on the machine so nothing was reasonably able to be done on the software side. Fabel hinted the hard drive was probably bad. Since I was running late for work, I left the laptop with him so he would work on it. A few days later I received a call from Fabel informing me he wanted to run embed view and needed my password to login. He seemed to have an idea of what the issue was, but he wanted to confirm it for sure. An hour later he calls back convinced the issue did indeed involve the hard drive and there was a corruption with the operating system. Fabel showed me what I needed to do to open up the laptop, and recommended me a replacement hard drive and a tool to help me retrieve my data from my dying hard drive. A week and a half later, I am here typing this review on the very laptop they worked on and have not experienced any further issues since. Overall, I enjoyed and experience and will return in the future for another fix if needed. read more

They saved my day! Had an issue with our work computer after an unexpected power surge... I called in a panic and Josh asked me a few questions to see if he could help me over the phone, when that didn't pan out he told me I could come right over. I drove to the shop and he checked it out and told me the only two issues it could be, a cord or the monitor as the computer was OK!
