We set an appointment for him to come over to my home to see the computers. He showed up on time and ready to work. He was very focused so not to waste time when he is on the clock. My desktop computer crashed and had not been turned on for over 6 months. We had it fixed by another company once before and it still crashed. Randy got it working perfectly again quickly. No more crashing. My laptop was running slow. Randy cleaned out the excessive and unnecessary programming and add-ons that were slowing it down. My laptop is running much faster now. Randy is a positive, gentle person who is very easy to work with. He also knows to how communicate to the non-techie people so we can understand. He is very big on making your computer secure. To fix it myself, I could have gotten replacement parts for about $25 off amazon and paid for a software program to clear the error message myself (another $15-20) but I am renovating my house with a new baby and lack the time. I called and got an estimate for $80 which I agreed to. They asked for the $80 payment upfront. I was hesitant about paying upfront, but my husband did. About a week later, they called and said it was ready but we had a balance of another $80. My husband sweetly picked it up without asking questions.. but I had questions! They said they cleaned the printer so that it worked better and the labor cost was $80 more. I would have declined if they called and asked if I wanted it done. In fact, I would have left the old printer there and bought a brand new printer for the same price I'm not sure if it works, I'm assuming it does. I received the printer back with no yellow ink when I had just put a new one in before dropping it off. I'll never go back. That was such a waste of money

Yes, this is one of my first reviews on Yelp! And I hope that just goes to show how happy I am with the service here. My mac went kaput, did not power-up at all, after having had no issues or "Alerts" If only laptops gave a "check engine light!" Wouldn't that be a saving grace? Well since that did not happen I, of course, feared an entire laptop meltdown! No bueno senores and senoras! In any event, after being on the phone endlessly with Apple, talking to over 7 people, and repeating the issue a gazillion times, I decided I should just go to a local place. Smart decision. I called these guys, and I was greeted on the phone in a polite, manner by a guy named Chris. They provide a complimentary diagnostic (who doesn't love that?!). But you know what is even better, it's not accompanied with pushy sales. Especially being a woman, I can certainly appreciate a non-condescending attitude which can be pretty rare to find in certain business fields. Kind of like when a woman goes to the mechanic. (know what i mean ladies?) Actually, these guys were quite the gentleman. They even bought me a cup of coffee at starbucks next door. After a about a 5 minute drop-off and an hour later (literally!), I received a call saying they knew what was causing the trouble and they had the part in stock, and could fix it within the next hour! Incredible! I spent more time on the phone with Apple last night along with this morning, then it took for them to diagnose and fix my issue -- no problems. I did not feel pressured, gouged, or anything. I liked the experience of being able to see the folks who were working on my computer, instead of shipping my lil baby off, hoping that it doesn't get lost in the mail, and tossed around like a hot potato. Instead, these guys were so courteous, friendly, and quick to get me out of a jam, and I am so appreciative! It was so stress-free! I've been more stressed trying to figure out what im going to have for dinner. Thanks for the Help! I don't look forward to future meltdowns, but if they happen, I don't have to stress, because Guess What? Now I can officially say "I know a couple guys!" Certainly coming back! These have been my go to guys for all my electronic repair needs. In Fall 2015, I was in a pinch when my 2012 MacPro crashed on me. As a nursing student with careplans to write, that was just about the worst things that could happen to me during school. After yelping all of my options for computer repairs in the Long Beach/ Lakewood area, I decided to go for this place for the free diagnostics, proximity to my house, and highly rated reviews. Luckily for me I wasn't let down- Esgar was really understanding and worked to get my computer repaired ASAP, and I had it to write my careplans again in a matter of days. They also have a great warranty- When I had problems with my trackpad a few months after I got my crashing problem fixed, I feel like they went above and beyond and replaced my trackpad under warranty. Since then, this has become my family's go-to electronic repair place, with my dad taking our other broken laptops to be fixed excellently by them. Now that my battery needs to be repaired in 2017, I still find they have the same great service quality. This time around Josh and Esgar helped me out and as I said earlier, these guys are always professional and always helpful. The diagnostic is always free (super great plus since not all places offer it) Overall, if you take your electronics to be repaired here you won't be disappointed! I recently had the pleasure of using the services of Long Beach Computer Repair and I must say that I am extremely satisfied with the work they did. My laptop had been having some serious issues for weeks and I was afraid that it was beyond repair, but this shop proved me wrong. The team at the shop was professional and courteous from the moment I walked in the door. They took the time to listen to my concerns and ask questions about the issues I was experiencing with my laptop. They explained their diagnostic process and what they thought might be the problem. Their expertise and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire process. They kept me updated on the progress of the repair and were very transparent about the costs involved. I appreciated that they took the time to explain everything to me in terms that I could understand. When I received my laptop back, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it was working. My hard drive crashed - a really bad crash. The drive could not be accessed at all. I tried it on a different computer and still it could not be accessed so I knew it was the drive. I had important data that I didn't want to go through the hassle of recreating and my backups were old. After doing some research and talking to different companies I realized that this is a $500+ problem not the $200 'starter problem' that many geek places might quote. I decided I would try this place. The owner was very professional, couteous, and knowledgeable. I informed the owner that I knew this wasn't going to be one of the 'first level' problems because it couldn't be fixed via software. That means going to the next level which is $500+.....But I brought in a PCB that had a component that I thought would fix the problem. The owner said he'd use it and give me a call back in a few days. I received a call back and was expecting the worst because he didn't say over the phone 'I recovered your data.' When I got to the store he did show me that my data was recovered and put on the drive I provided and also that the original drive with the now-fixed PCB was working also. That means I can image the drive so I don't have to reinstall the software programs installed over the years. I have an outstanding experience with this company. My 2011 iMac stop working and would not boot up. I thought that the computer has run its course and there was nothing I could do about it. However, I had a few important files on the hard-drive that were not backed up elsewhere. So, I took the computer in and asked them to take a look at let me know if they could repair it or recover the data stored on the hard-drive. Their intake process were very organize and professional. Plus, they take the time to clearly explain to me what I can expect. One thing that they did very well was keep me informed every time a technician touches my computer to preform inspection and repairs. So, at all times, I was knowledgeable of the status of my computer. I didn't have to followup for status report. To top it off, Chris was very efficient in the turn around time. They exceed their promises and my computer was ready before I could even make the time to go and pick it up. I will be definitely using them for future repair and services. I'm ambivalent about the store. The first time I went, I had some sticking keys on my computer. Carlos fixed them quickly and I was satisfied and charged a fair price. However I then ordered a simple case cover. I was called 3 days later that it was in and checked online for hours. I stopped by yet they were closed (during times that are posted that they are open). I called over the next 3 days and could not get anyone to speak with. The answering machine was full and one couldn't leave a message. I dropped by today (actually 3rd time) and they were not open though the sign says they open at 9 am. Around 9:30 some one waltzed in. I asked for my order, they showed me shell in the wrong color. I asked if one could be ordered.. "they were having trouble with their computer which the technician said was working slow... HELLO they are suppose to be a tech repair. I got more dazed slow info from the 1 person on duty.. under staffed.. AKA I won't be back.. Wasted 3 days of my time. read more

SMASH -- My iPhone 5c screen was terribly cracked when it fell on the concrete. Ack! I've only had it for less than 3 months! Everything else worked, just broken screen. So I posted on facebook to my friends, "where can I get a replacement screen?" A few friends said, "somewhere in the Lakewood mall," One said "somewhere on Los Alamitos Blvd." And one friend said "the computer repair place on 7th and Park." THAT one I knew. So I stopped in, and Chris was friendly and helpful: "Yes, we can do that! Takes about 30 minutes." And if I post on Yelp (which I'm happy to do), I can get $10 off the cost! Win-Win, I say. AND it's right next to a Starbucks, so 30 minutes, I can do. For the 15 minutes I was in the store, there were at least 5 other customers in and out. Busy, but friendly and helpful. I wanted to get a new computer but since most of the places were asking top dollars I decided to try local shops. I called Long Beach Computer Repair & the tech there, Chris, right away help me with what I was looking for. We had a few options to choose from but the best choice was the custom pc's they build here. So I decided to drive there to check it out. I was really impress, the pc's they build are top of the line. I choose the one with the black glass case. This beauty is all lit-up from the inside, including the RAM's, the fans, the cables, everything is lit-up. The price was pretty reasonable but Chris help me getting it at a lower price than what they had it for sale. Now I have the pc at my home office & it flies. The speed, the graphics, the ssd, everything is top of the line. I'm really happy & exited with my new pc. Will definitely recommend Chris to all my friends that are looking for a pc, specially now, with Xmas around the corner. read more

Brought my ipad with cracked screen in for repair, ended up with an entirely broken motherboard, irreparable. When you show up in store to talk about the problem they make everything seem like it is no problem and easy to fix, but when you don't hear back from them after a week and call they hem and haw and give excuses. When they propose a solution and day they will call you back to follow up, they never do. It is just their way of getting you off the phone. So I go in with a functional ipad (just broken screen), I end up with a broken irreparable ipad. They offer $50 for parts that Gazelle.com was willing to pay $80 for. I even heard one of the techs joking to a customer buddy about how he can charge customers $130 for ipad screen repair (implying that it really should be a lot cheaper). Meanwhile, I am standing right next to the counter. My recommendation is to shell out the bucks and just have Apple do the repairs on your fancy ipad. read more

Ok. I own an iMac and I finally overworked the hard drive to death. I made an appointment at the Apple Store and had it diagnosed. They quoted me a ridiculous amount. However, they did say I needed a new drive. But, if I wanted any data recovered I'd have to buy my old one back from them in addition to the new one. I decided to look for a repair shop close and I went off of the reviews for Long Beach Computer Repair. It took about 5 days for the diagnosis, the new hard drive and the data recovery. If I could only work that fast. I can't say enough about how friendly, professional and knowledgeable these guys are. Plus they are reasonably priced. Trust me, if you have an issue of any kind, get your first diagnosis from these guys (it's free) and save yourself the trouble of shopping around. I saved about $2600 from having to buy a new system. So here I am again. Clumsy as usual. Not only did I bust my MacBook but I knocked over a display stand at Ralph's, ripped my sandal, and spilled my amazing starbucks on my new shirt. My poor MacBook was placed on the roof of my car and yes I drove away like an idiot. I took it to computer repair long beach with my broken sandal and my stained shirt thinking my MacBook was dead. I'm sure I looked crazy. However after Edgar checked it out and tested it, turns out that it was still working great only problem I had that lid on my MacBook was severely scratched. I didn't need to replace the lid but it looked so sad all beat. So I was able to take my MacBook home that day. I ordered a new lid with them. Two days later I received a call that my lid was in so I came back an had it replaced. Again I was able to take my MacBook home the same day for a super low cost and super quick. So very happy. I took my desk top here to get it to be faster! every time I ran different programs at once to do my work, it seem to slow down and I try fixing it my self but I couldn't. I need my desk top to run my business as a realtor and my computer is really an important part of my everyday life. I pass by 7st and Park and seen the store next to the food place. I talked to the Chris and he said the can have it ready the next day. I didn't believe at first but I went the next day to pick it up and he had ready, my tower was ready to go! I ask what he do to it and he said I had a 4gb ram and if I wanted to wanted to run my software the way I do, I need it a 8gb ram and he was right. My computer running well and everything looks good, he even though a virus removal software for free. He said it was under new management and now they can make customers even more happy! I just recently took my PC in to Long Beach Computer repair to get it fixed after it started giving me a bit of grieve and started running painfully slow. They greeted me as soon as I walked through the door, and acted very professional. They fixed the issue very quickly and I walked out with my PC much quicker then I anticipated. I am very happy and pleased with the quality of work they did, the price, and the high level of profession that they practice at Long Beach Computer Repair. I also picked their brains a bit while waiting, and I can tell you that they are experienced computer techs. Normally technicians don't like to tell you more then they have to as they want you to bring it in to their shop so they can charge you, but those guys answered all my questions. I won't be bringing ANY of my devices here for repair. I have a lap top & an iPhone both with a cracked screen that I was hoping to finally have fixed. I walked in to Computer Repair Friday evening to gather information on what services they offer, price ranges, & hours of operation. The store was empty, no other customers in there but me yet the guy that "helped" me acted as if I was an annoyance & was trying lose my business rather than gain it. I asked about the store's hours. He said they close at 6. I said no I needed the hours for the whole week & then had to ask for a business card to write it on which was obviously too much for him to do himself. I also had to endure his snide remark when I couldn't remember the brand of lap top I have (it's not a common one). Since they don't seem to like customers nor gaining the business of walk-ins...I'll do them the favor of never returning. read more

I've been having my screen cracked for over a month now but with pretty limited time to get it repair, I was having a hard time finding a good reliable place to get it repair! I was visiting some relatives in Belmont Shore this weekend & my nephew recommended me this place, he had taken his laptop for repair & saw the tech repairing iphones as well, so we decided to give it a try! We call & didn't had to make an appointment, so we just stop by to get it repair. There was only one tech guy fixing iphones & there was a customer ahead of us so we had to wait, once he was done with the customer the tech guy got our phone right away to get it repair. He got it repair in 15-20 minutes & it gave me a screen protector for my new screen, which I really appreciated. Now my phone looks & feels like new, finally I was able to get the screen replaced. have a 2011 15" MacBook pro that wasn't turning on or charging that had water spilled on it. Had a quote for repair from macmall in torrance and they quoted $1700. I found computer repair long beach on an yelp listing and drove down to see what they could do. Where i met edger he said he would see what he could do. diagnostic was free so I left it with edger and had a call later the same day saying it was all set and come back tomorrow to pick it up. edger works miracles! He replaced the keyboard, installed a working battery and fixed the logic board and the charging issue all for $450! He saved me a bunch of money and did an excellent job fixing my laptop! I tried to clean it up, but I guess I didn't do a great job, because after that, things slowly started going downhill. The screen would randomly go black, it lagged like crazy, and some of my games just wouldn't run right. After dealing with that for almost a year, I finally decided to have it looked at. I had taken it to another shop once before for a different issue, but they kept my PC for over a week and honestly, I don't think they diagnosed it properly--because the hot chocolate mess was never addressed, and the problems continued. This time, I found Fix My PC, and I'm so glad I did. The gentleman there was super kind and clearly knew what he was doing. The shop is small, but don't let that fool you--he's sharp. After a proper diagnosis, he found the issue: the video card had been damaged from the spill. He cleaned it out thoroughly and replaced the card--and had it all done in just 3 days! I couldn't believe it. Fast, accurate, and no upselling or runaround.
