I have been using R&N Technical for over a decade, and I cannot recommend Ray highly enough. Over…read morethe years, he has completed three major projects for me, and every single one has been flawless. Project 1 (2013): Ray installed in-wall surround sound speakers, converted my old phone jacks into Ethernet jacks, and set up my home LAN. Everything worked absolutely perfectly for the entire 12 years I lived in that home. Project 2: He did a complete overhaul of my living room surround sound setup. Ray recommended the perfect on-wall speakers for the space, installed them flawlessly, and calibrated the system to perfection. Project 3: Most recently, he installed 6 in-wall Dolby Atmos speakers in my dedicated theater room. The audio environment he created is incredible. Every single installation has been incredibly clean, professional, and well-communicated. Ray is super friendly, highly knowledgeable, courteous, and a true master of his craft. His work is worth every single penny. If you want the job done right the first time by someone you can trust, look no further than R&N Technical!

Ray is the man! We just moved to the area and needed help with our AV setup. To find someone, I did…read moreAI deep research and then requested quotes from the top-rated AV companies in the area. Ray was by far the most responsive and easily won on price and value. We set up an appointment, and he arrived promptly, was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. He got everything working perfectly, including mounting the TV, setting up the soundbar, speakers and surround sound, and hiding the cables. He even did precision centering and leveling so everything was perfectly straight, which, if you are like my wife, is important because anything even slightly off center or tilted is distracting. He also went above and beyond to help with another issue totally unrelated to the AV setup. It's hard to find good, competent people you can trust, but for home electronic needs moving forward, Ray is our guy.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TYLER NEYLAND OR VIDEOTECHNICA!…read more The positive reviews you see here are all from a suspiciously narrow band of time around when this company was established, and smell of Tyler gaming this and other review systems. Although I'm finally in a pretty good place with our home theater, it has been a saga to get here. I'm not trying to smear anyone, but rather I'm hoping to help others avoid my experience. Back in May, I got clearance from the Domestic Finance Department to go from a decent consumer grade system in our living room to building my first dedicated home theater space (a lifelong dream of mine). I started researching speakers and components, and was polling two home theater groups on Facebook for advice and perspectives. Tyler Neyland reached out and offered to build out our entire setup for us. He came across as super knowledgeable and impressive... at first. Turns out he trolls these groups looking for suckers like me (the fact that he uses the fake profile name "Duke Rizzle" should have been a big red flag). He reeled me in, and got me super excited. Tyler then used time pressure to get a large up front deposit from me (which thankfully I paid on a credit card). Once he had my money he got increasingly flakey. He made one site visit, showed up a day late (and even then five hours after he was supposed to have been at my door), and then lied to me telling me his assistant had broken his toe and had had to go to the ER (the guy then proceeded to walk around my house without a limp for two hours). He took a few pictures and measurements and then left. For this he later billed me $2,300. Subsequently every time we talked the projected cost of my setup went up. There were endless delays, and I ended up having to chase down orders supposedly placed on my behalf at vendors like EpixSky and Stewart Filmscreens (both now have VideoTechnica on their watchlists). I finally got him to agree to submit two best offer proposals within strictly defined budgetary boundaries, and if neither was acceptable we could part ways (and I'd get my credit balance back). Needless to say, after telling me he'd have these to me by the end of the week, he took a lot longer to turn these around and they came back MASSIVELY over budget (literally 2X the number we initially agreed on back in May). I then pulled the ripcord and told Tyler I wanted out, and he balked at refunding our credit balance. We are now in the midst of a credit card dispute over $41K of our money he is trying to keep (this does not include the cost of the site visit, nor of the screen and projector he actually purchased on our behalf - we are willing to pay for these). While this is likely to drag on for another month or so, I'm cautiously optimistic that I'll get the funds back as he cannot show he did anything to justify keeping our credit balance. STAY AWAY FROM TYLER - dealing with him has been a nightmare.

Some are people who simply set up an…read moreoff-the-shelf speaker and amplifier package, some will build something aesthetically pleasing but have little understanding of of acoustics. But Videotechnica takes the design and implementation of a home theater to the next level. Tyler is one of those rarified individuals who is an architect, carpenter, accoustic engineer, technical wizard, and artist--while simultaneously being an all-around sincere guy. Tyler is thorough and patient and detail-oriented. He will meticulously design and build a system that is totally unique, with an eye to detail and an understanding of audio and video that cannot be surpassed. Audiotechnica is one of a kind and Tyler is as talented as they come. Highly recommended.
