Please read this before contacting this vendor. The last contact that I had with Steven his, new and very young, assistant dropped a thousand dollar SONOS soundbar on a cement patio and, also, plugged an optical cable backwards, into a six thousand dollar outdoor TV, damaging both. After I texted Steven about it he texted me that we should just part ways. That, unfortunately, is just the tip of the iceberg. Over the last year, and after Steven had started a Thirty Thousand Dollar AV basement project for me, he consistently missed scheduled appointments, showed up late or showed up after getting in bar fights (Steven told me that). His senior tech Chris, who would often show up to work at my house very frustrated and without Steven would tell me he couldn't get in contact with Steven. Also, that he (Chris) didn't know what to do that day and was upset because Steven had a lot of frustrated customers. As you might guess, that basement project, which was supposed to be done by December 2019, is still incomplete and nothing works as promised. You may be asking yourself, "Why did he keep using Steven?". Well, that is exactly why I am writing this review. Although my wife often suggested that we bring in another company to finish the project it is very difficult and expensive to transfer the knowledge about your home AV/automation system to a new company. I wish I had listened to my wife, because the writing was on the wall the entire time and I only delayed the inevitable by continuing to use him. Ultimately, it cost me substantially more. In my opinion, there are much more trustworthy, competent and professional home automation/AV companies to let into your home and to, ultimately, enter into this type of ongoing relationship. Please choose better than I did. First, I want to tell you about a win-win vendor: ALTITUDE AUDIO VIDEO. This story may appear too long, but it's well worth read because most reviews are short and sweet and it's hard to make a vendor choice without more knowledge of how the potential vendor operates. Ya know, I'm kind of dubious when I hire a vendor sight unseen. But I trust YELP to help me. I presented potential vendors with my installation scenario: A transition from a 10 year old, wall-mounted Sharp Aquos 45" to a new Samsung 78" curved screen TV (we had coveted this particular TV for about a year) on a 3 axis articulating wall-mount and hooking up my Blu-Ray and a Pyle audio box; I had a tight deadline for this must do surprise birthday installation; and I was having a heck of a time with Amazon and the delivery timing of the wall-mount I ordered. All the other vendors responded with emailed responses all of which were all over my budget. However, the only vendor to take the time to call and ask me what I needed was STEVEN RACZ from ALTITUDE AUDIO VIDEO while he was on vacation. He asked questions (I had given the above in the RFQ) about my budget and I told him how many bucks I had allocated. He very quickly gave me his price (which was doable). On a whim, I told STEVEN I was having problems with Amazon to which he responded by offering his wall mount which was less than Amazon. I said what was the new price. Shazam! His price was spot on. I asked if ALTITUDE AUDIO VIDEO had a VETERANS DISCOUNT. Steven immediately said yes and gave me a new discounted price and thanked me for my service. I said yes, but it had to be done by the following Saturday. They had a scheduling snafu and did it on Wednesday beginning at 1830. The ALTITUDE AUDIO VIDEO install went unbelievably well. Steven and Chris brought in about 3 big cases of tools, hardware, and their Milwaukee tools. Earlier in the week we had taken the TV and set it up on a table just underneath the area we wanted the TV mounted. The dynamic duo, STEVEN and CHRIS set up the wall mount and began to affix it to the wall. The wall itself was over an old window and had no studs to mount to. They ingeniously found a way to screw it to the wall. Once done, they put the TV onto the wall mount. STEVEN and CHRIS using the 3 axis mount STEVEN properly aligned it for optimum viewing as we sat on our couch. ALTITUDE AUDIO VIDEO's charges, courtesy, professionalism, knowledge of equipment, providing the wall mount, ingeniously affixing the mount without studs, fully guaranteeing their work should something go wrong with the install, the VETERAN'S DISCOUNT, friendliness, and promising to be available anytime. After they left, I had a problem with the sound box and the blu-ray DVD the nest day and I called ALTITUDE AUDIO AND STORAGE. CHRIS came over that night and worked for 2 hours and found I had the wrong type of sound box as its input connections disallowed a necessary HDMI connection. So CHRIS and I looked on the Vizio web site and settled on the right sound bar system and he has committed to helping me hook it up. My Dad took apart his entertainment center to have new floors installed and couldn't put it back together. I took to Yelp to get quotes, expecting my Dad to have a breakdown as he rocked back and forth, clutching his beloved universal remote. I requested quotes from 5 businesses. Steven responded to my quote request right away, was reasonably priced and offered to come the same day. He gave me an estimated time, then called me about 45 minutes beforehand to give me his ETA. Steven is a true professional. He arrived, introduced himself, then got right to work. He was efficient and patient as my Dad stood over him and asked questions while he worked his wiring wizardry. He removed wires and cables that weren't necessary and left it better than it was before. He even checked the other TVs and remotes in the house to make sure they were all working and programmed properly. He did all of this in under an hour. He knows his way around electronics, and to top it off, he's a really nice guy. Best of all, my Dad is really happy. You're in good hands,here. He'll take good care of you at a fair price. Five Stars ! Would give more if I could. I needed my house wired and sent out a request for quotes on yelp. I received a bunch of responses from one guy coming by three hours late and never giving me a quote, to another wanting to run wire through the heater flu, which common sense would tell you is wrong. When Steve arrived he and his helper were dressed professionally in their logo shirts. They surveyed the house took measurements, asked questions and set expectations. Miles above the competition or at least the people I interacted with. After meeting them I was impressed and told them they had the job on the spot. I asked for a quote but Steve told me he wanted to be sure it was right and would send one. That night I received the quote, again very professional with icons of the various hardware components. Very nice. This was a Thursday, I asked Steve when he could do that job, he said Monday. This Monday was Labor Day, I though maybe he made a mistake? He wouldn't work Labor Day! So on Labor Day around 10 there he was along with his helper . The guys worked hard, tested everything, cleaned up so overall the job was complete in about 6 and a half hours! Steve's service was exceptional! I wanted to organize a media enclosure that had been left very desorganized by original contractor when we purchased home. I did not have new enclosure needed and I wanted to get project done fairly quick because builder that was finishing basement was about to install dry-wall. At first, I decided to do project by myself. However, I encounter a significant obstacle right from the start. I drove around town searching for new Media Enclosure without success. And ordering it would take days which I did not have. Therefore, I turned to Yelp for help. I described my project on Yelp and got many responses. However, Steven Racz from ALTITUDE AUDIO VIDEO was one of the fastest responses. He contacted me via Yelp message, and when we connected by phone, I explained what my project was. He was very cautious not to over promise about timing and/or cost of project. But he said he could find the media enclosure I was looking for the following day, and may be work on it the day after that. When I explained my dilemma about dry-wall being done in 2 days, he asked me if I would mind if he worked in the late evening, which I had no problem with. Steve came the day after being contacted at around 6PM and worked until after 9:30PM doing amazing work. He went well above my expectations! Steve even hid a bundle of cables behind support beams. He had to drill through them and completely de-assemble wiring to run bundle of cables though new holes (extra work that original contractor never bothered to do). See before and after pictures. I Would not use anyone else! My home entertainment system had been installed in 2007. Everything had been wall fished during The initial installation. Comcast had done some work, and had run some cables up the outside of the wall Under the TV because they do not do any wall fishing. In addition to that, there were many wires that were no longer being used hanging down from behind the TV. I also wanted to install a new wall mount so that the TV would swivel. Steven and Luke were able to schedule my appointment within a few days of my call even though it is their busiest time of the year. They called twice to keep me up-to-date on their ETA. When they got here, the project was more complicated than they had initially thought. The cables ran through the attic and were intertwined with old cables that were no longer in use. They rewired things, and even mounted my Comcast receiver box to the back of the TV so it is out of sight. They made sure that everything was working perfectly before they left, and eliminated a small buzzing noise in the surroundsound system. It looks awesome, and I no longer have wires running up the wall! They worked for several hours and were here until after 7 PM! Even though The project was messy, with lots of insulation falling out of the attic onto the floor, and having to drill in the wall for new mounts, they cleaned up everything and all of their work areas were left immaculate! When they were done, even though the project took far longer than they had anticipated, the final bill was $20 less than The quote that Steven had given me over the phone! They were honest, professional, and they knew exactly what they were doing, and how to do it! I would definitely recommend Altitude Audio Video for all of your audio and video installations, upgrades, And changes! read more

Highly, highly recommend Steve and his team!!. I saw the website online, liked what I saw and decided to get a quote for installing a 65" over the fireplace in our brand new house (and awesome new tile which I will admit I was nervous someone would be drilling into) as well as a 75" in the basement on a newly laminated wall. Although they were on a job at the time, Steve took my information and called back promptly and his quote was very competitive. I liked that he asked a lot of questions, even provided suggestions on brands when I let him know we were on our way to make the T.V. purchases and he let me know he could bring all the necessary components including the wall mount and include them in his quote saving me the task of getting anything ahead of time. The day of install I received a call to let me know their ETA. I loved that upon arrival introductions were made, they removed their shoes without being asked, were extremely friendly, super knowledgeable and helpful and cleaned up along the way. I had a good feeling and felt confident I had called the right company right away. They take extreme care to make sure everything is perfectly measured, centered, leveled and aligned and looking as best as possible. I had a last minute situation where I needed them to come back and install the second T.V. even though we had planned on completing everything in one visit and they were very understanding and worked us into their schedule.
