I don't know if i can quite capture my Soundings experience in a review, but here goes. It was…read morenothing short of outstanding. The net of it is that there was never any pressure to buy - i had several interactions with the Soundings team over a period of about 18 months and both times they started with conversations about what I wanted to achieve from all perspectives - equipment, usage (music, film), and aesthetics. And at the outset of both interactions, they wanted simply to visit my home so they could understand the environment in which i was working. After the first interaction, i did nothing other than completely change my plans as i was in the midst of re-modeling my basement where i was planning to put the A/V equipment - most of which i already possessed. Once i completed that, i returned to Soundings and started over with Mark, who happened to be at the store when I arrived. Again, never any pressure to buy, but simply a conversation about what i wanted to do. At that point, most of it was related to A/V furniture and installation of a TV. We decided to add a subwoofer and replace some of the builder furnished in ceiling speakers. Once it was delivered and installed, then the fun really began. The Soundings master set process is truly amazing. I refer to the Soundings team now as the Sounder Whisperers. My stereo has never sounded so good. Mark arrived with several known source materials (audio and film) and we proceeded to spend several hours listening and using an organized process, making what are seemingly infinitesimally small movements in the placement of front, center, and sub speakers. This process truly fit the equipment to the room and sounded superb. Even though I was satisfied - i could still tell a difference in my 20+ year old equipment compared to some of the equipment i had listened to in the store. Moreover, my speakers were a little large for the space. Thus, i returned to the store, was encouraged to bring some source material, and then simply spent some time in one of the rooms and listened. To make a long story short, I decided to upgrade both my speakers and A/V receiver. It was a two step process as i didn't quite believe that the electronics could make such a huge difference in sound, but it was truly amazing. After a few months to let the equipment settle in, we repeated the master set process and I now have a sound system that matches the full sound i heard at the store. Whether it's listening to audio or watching a movie - the experience is wonderful. As i said, there was never any pressure to buy anything, just conversations around what i wanted to achieve. Certainly there are different price points to consider, but they have really done all of the research for you and what you'll find at Soundings is remarkable sound at each of their budget levels and a great staff that is truly interested in helping you achieve your A/V goals. All in all an outstanding experience.

I have a Pro-ject turntable that needs cartridge setup with proper alignment, VTA and azimuth. I did not buy the table from them. Yet Rod told me to bring the table in. We had good discussions about 2-channel audio. I could tell he is a true audiophile, knows his stuff but still very helpful and humble. There was bit of challenge in setting up my table (for which he had to talk to Pro-ject tech and make mod to his tool), but he spent that time and got everything adjusted. The table actually sounds a bit better now and the best part is he did not charge me anything for all the time spent. When I picked up the table, I asked him again if I owed him anything. He said no and helped me put the table in my car. Now that is service. I highly recommend anyone in the Front Range area to seek out this store. Rod will not disappoint you. HIGHLY recommended!

I requested a quote via their website and within a day, received a call (and follow-up text) to schedule my free in-home consultation. At no point during the entire process was there a "hard sell" or any other pressure to make a decision. My consultant, Suzanne, was very personable, knowledgeable and patient with me, which was a huge plus, as I had never bought window coverings and was somewhat overwhelmed by my options. I was grateful for her help! Ordering was very straightforward and there were no hidden fees or other charges that might otherwise have caught me by surprise. My shades took several weeks to come in, as they're all custom-made, but the installation took place shortly after they were received. The installer arrived at my home right on time and was incredibly friendly, had everything he needed, worked quickly, and cleaned up after himself. He also took my old blinds with him, so that I didn't need to worry about disposing of my old window coverings myself. We did come to find that one shade was several inches too short but the installer immediately contacted RMS&S and the situation was remedied very quickly. I appreciated that Suzanne contacted me once she found out about the error to assure me that the issue was being handled (which it absolutely was). I can't recommend RMS&S enough and would use them again should the need ever arise.

Rick called me immediately and told me he was driving, so if I texted him my name and address, he'd get back to me in about 40 minutes with a quote. Sounds reasonable. So I texted him. And waited. And waited some more. After more than two hours of radio silence, I sent a simple "Hello?" Suddenly, Rick called me back sounding like I'd just sent him 47 texts, hired a private investigator, and filed a missing persons report. "Umm... I got your message. I'm going to have someone call you with a quote." Great. That's literally all you had to text me two hours earlier. Eventually someone called and quoted me $259 to install a thermostat. Not exactly a Yelp special, but fine. We scheduled the appointment for 10:00 a.m., and I rearranged my schedule to make it work. A few days later, Rick left me a voicemail asking if they could move my appointment to 9:00 a.m. instead. He specifically said to call or text him back. So I texted him back. Can you guess what happened next? If you guessed "absolutely nothing," congratulations, you've worked with R&A before. I explained that I couldn't do 9:00 because I had another appointment at 9:15 and had already moved things around for the original time. No response. Not a yes. Not a no. Not a "See you at 10." Not even a thumbs-up emoji. At this point, I wasn't sure if they were coming at 9:00, 10:00, or sometime during the next presidential administration. So I canceled. The funniest part? The second I canceled and pointed out that this was now the second communication failure, Rick magically responded almost immediately: "Okay. Sorry for the poor communication on our end." Amazing. The fastest response of our entire relationship happened after they lost the job. If their electricians communicate with each other the way they communicate with customers, I hope they don't work on anything that requires wires to connect.

Not only was he extremely experienced and efficient with the installation of this particular system, he charged us approximately $350 less than it would have cost us to go through one of the retailer's contractors. We are now able to realize much more usable space than before. Next job already scheduled for the hanging of a new barn door for the walk-in closet! With a new bike on the way, I found it was going to be quite a challenge storing it in our relatively small garage. I barely had enough room to squeeze the car in with just one bike, so purchased a ceiling hanging system. After the system arrived, I hired Wade Services to do the job. Upon arrival, he suggested an alternative solution that would allow for easier access to the bike. I went with his idea and was quite pleased with the results. Where there was once clutter and barely enough room for one bike, I now am able now able to fit two bikes (old bike pictured - new one will be placed where the tires are), store my ladders and camping tables, and still effortlessly park my full-sized SUV. He also offered other improvement ideas, which I will have installed at a later date. He also suggested new layout ideas for two of our closets. We also plan to have him install those as well!
