Devon is now referring to him as someone I hired who could not do a good job and takes no responsibility for recommending equipment that failed. We worked diligently trying to get him to do the right thing and he ignored us, was rude and refused to return our money. My husband and I finally posted reviews of his theft and poor service. He responded saying I have mental and drug issues. Further, he threatened both of us...."I know where you live...karma is a bitch". We have reported him to the local police and are posting here in case he is foolish enough to bring harm to our house, Do not hire Devon unless you want to deal with a very disturbed young man who has no desire to treat his customers fairly and is merely in it for the money regardless of how he treats people.

And waited some more. After more than two hours of radio silence, I sent a simple "Hello?" Suddenly, Rick called me back sounding like I'd just sent him 47 texts, hired a private investigator, and filed a missing persons report. "Umm... I got your message. I'm going to have someone call you with a quote." Great. That's literally all you had to text me two hours earlier. Eventually someone called and quoted me $259 to install a thermostat. Not exactly a Yelp special, but fine. We scheduled the appointment for 10:00 a.m., and I rearranged my schedule to make it work. A few days later, Rick left me a voicemail asking if they could move my appointment to 9:00 a.m. instead. He specifically said to call or text him back. So I texted him back. Can you guess what happened next? If you guessed "absolutely nothing," congratulations, you've worked with R&A before. I explained that I couldn't do 9:00 because I had another appointment at 9:15 and had already moved things around for the original time. No response. Not a yes. Not a no. Not a "See you at 10." Not even a thumbs-up emoji. At this point, I wasn't sure if they were coming at 9:00, 10:00, or sometime during the next presidential administration. So I canceled. The funniest part? The second I canceled and pointed out that this was now the second communication failure, Rick magically responded almost immediately: "Okay. Sorry for the poor communication on our end." Amazing. The fastest response of our entire relationship happened after they lost the job. If their electricians communicate with each other the way they communicate with customers, I hope they don't work on anything that requires wires to connect.

We are now able to realize much more usable space than before. Next job already scheduled for the hanging of a new barn door for the walk-in closet! With a new bike on the way, I found it was going to be quite a challenge storing it in our relatively small garage. I barely had enough room to squeeze the car in with just one bike, so purchased a ceiling hanging system. After the system arrived, I hired Wade Services to do the job. Upon arrival, he suggested an alternative solution that would allow for easier access to the bike. I went with his idea and was quite pleased with the results. Where there was once clutter and barely enough room for one bike, I now am able now able to fit two bikes (old bike pictured - new one will be placed where the tires are), store my ladders and camping tables, and still effortlessly park my full-sized SUV. He also offered other improvement ideas, which I will have installed at a later date. He also suggested new layout ideas for two of our closets. We also plan to have him install those as well! The last contact that I had with Steven his, new…read moreand very young, assistant dropped a thousand dollar SONOS soundbar on a cement patio and, also, plugged an optical cable backwards, into a six thousand dollar outdoor TV, damaging both. After I texted Steven about it he texted me that we should just part ways. That, unfortunately, is just the tip of the iceberg. Over the last year, and after Steven had started a Thirty Thousand Dollar AV basement project for me, he consistently missed scheduled appointments, showed up late or showed up after getting in bar fights (Steven told me that). His senior tech Chris, who would often show up to work at my house very frustrated and without Steven would tell me he couldn't get in contact with Steven. Also, that he (Chris) didn't know what to do that day and was upset because Steven had a lot of frustrated customers. As you might guess, that basement project, which was supposed to be done by December 2019, is still incomplete and nothing works as promised. You may be asking yourself, "Why did he keep using Steven?". Well, that is exactly why I am writing this review. Although my wife often suggested that we bring in another company to finish the project it is very difficult and expensive to transfer the knowledge about your home AV/automation system to a new company. I wish I had listened to my wife, because the writing was on the wall the entire time and I only delayed the inevitable by continuing to use him. Ultimately, it cost me substantially more. In my opinion, there are much more trustworthy, competent and professional home automation/AV companies to let into your home and to, ultimately, enter into this type of ongoing relationship. Please choose better than I did. I posted a request for flatscreen tv installation service a little past midnight Friday night/Saturday morning, and expected to begin receiving replies first thing in the morning. I was surprised to receive a reply from Get Smart Home less than 5 minutes later asking qualifying questions. Five minutes after replying I received a quote and commitment to install two TVs on Saturday. Vlad and Stasia text me 35 minutes before the installation appointment to alert me they were on the way. They arrived on time and immediately impressed me with their professionalism: they were courteous, well mannered, personable, knowledgeable and fully prepared with the necessary tools, supplies, blankets to lay the TVs on, and booties to cover their shoes. They reviewed the TVs and desired mounting locations, asked questions about my preferences, made recommendations, set expectations, then went to work. They were efficient -- finishing both installations and cleaning up within an hour -- and most importantly, delivered results that again exceeded expectations. I am impressed with the quality of Vlad and Stasia's work and the excellent experience of working with them. I recommend Get Smart Home without reservation and will be relying on their expertise and services for my upcoming home automation projects.

When it was apparent the new receiver would not fit our cabinet, we asked that he just cut out the back wall to fit. (Our old console was particle board.) Well, turns out THIS cabinet was over 1" thick solid and he went out to buy a thicker saw blade! But never complained. It took 5 hours, not 2, and he came back for second visit to program the remotes. Vlad is very patient, courteous, knowledgeable, and fairly priced. He offers dealer pricing on components but even sent us a Best Buy link when the same item was cheaper. If you need anything done too your home electronics, gIve him a call.
