Ok these guys really impressed me. I moved from a 27th floor apartment in downtown to a house in Kaneohe and the three guys took 3.5 hours. The trick is to pack everything really well in boxes because they hauled the boxes away in like two seconds. The guys showed up earlier than expected (a plus), were courteous and friendly, and took care of all my furniture (wrapped everything in plastic first). Nothing was damaged. Another great thing was the rate was competitive and reasonable. I got quotes from all around town and these guys were true to their quote and responsive (a few companies never returned my calls!). Moving can be very expensive and stressful and I'm glad I spent the money to have a stress-free experience. read more

Love working with Michael and the team at Quick N Quality Movers & Trucking. I had an office move that was on a tight timeline and was a bit complicated. I reached out to Michael based on recommendations from our leadership team. He was responsive and gave a great rate and was just awesome to work with. On the day of the original move, it was really bad weather and Michael immediately reached out and we made a plan to shift the move by one day. On the next day, the team arrived early and work efficiently of dismantling furniture and bringing it over to the office. Very professional and flexible as there were last minute requests made. Great guys, easy move, wonderful experience! Moving is definitely no picnic but Mike and Gordon made the whole process SO much easier for me and was totally worth every penny. I found them through Yelp, saw the great reviews and called them. By mentioning I saw their Yelp page and website they gave me a discount-- awesome! They were able to work with my schedule and budget and were right on time on moving day. Everything went off without a hinge, everything was moved in one piece, nothing was broken or damaged at all and they were done with time to spare. If I could give -5 stars I would and I am not exaggerating. First it started with the scheduled time where my move information would be taken down at a later time as I booked the move date 2 weeks in advance. I can understand that. 2. I called a couple days in advance with no call at that time to confirm. They had the move date as the had the move scheduled for the following day. I finally received a timeframe the night before 9-930a. 3. After calling multiple times 15 minutes after the scheduled time I was told there was a mix up by Chris that I was schedule 11-1p. Long story short I got a contracted moving company who was unprepared for my home move because Quick n Quality did not want to take down the information on my home addresses much less the details of the move. The contracted company JP Movers (not listed on yelp) were fantastic - great customer care and thorough. I used QnQ 4 years ago for an apartment move and they were nice, professional and competent. I would recommend unless you have a very small move and you don't mind a lack of customer service use them. They did not regard me with care as a customer and are not a capable company. Don't waste your time like I did with even contacting QnQ and learn from my mistake. read more

This is my 100th review so it's a pretty big deal. Lets get down to it. Rather than renting a Uhaul with dollys, paying for gas, bugging my friends and bribing them with beer and pizza if they helped me move out of my apartment, I yelp searched movers and Quick N Quality (QnQ) caught my eye because of the stellar reviews they have received. The process was a breeze, I gave them a call, booked a date and time, and was done within 3 minutes. Moving day. One day prior, Ryan from QnQ gives me a courtesy call to reconfirm our appointment and gives me a window of time for when they will show up...10am as I had earlier requested. As a customer, I really appreciate this service. It showed me they're responsible, and professional about what they do and take it very serious. Fast forward again to moving day, the clock shows 10am. Ring Ring...its QnQ at my building intercom letting me know they're here. Not a minute too late, not a minute too early. These guys were on their game. I meet Mike and crew and I sensed no shadiness. These guys were professional, friendly, and efficient. They knew exactly what needed to be loaded first and what should be loaded last. I could tell they've been doing this a while so I knew my stuff was in good hands. All in all, it only took a total of 2.5 hours to move my stuff from Makiki to Diamondhead which in my opinion is lightning quick because I thought I had a bunch of sh*t. heh. I read somewhere that moving is the fourth most stressful experience people go through - right after death, divorce, and illness. I used to think that was a little dramatic, but having moved 4 times in the past year, I'm obliged to agree with that statement. I hate moving. With a passion. Once I moved back to Hawaii from the Bay, I vowed never to move myself again. Not only out of laziness, but with all these new moving companies like "Hunks in Trucks" popping up, I thought it'd make sense to save myself a back ache or 2 and get some eye candy while doing so. I was not disappointed. Quick N Quality Movers are exactly that - their service is excellent and efficient, and they offer competitive, recession-friendly pricing. I have yet to find movers around the island that offer a better deal for a couple of strong men and a moving truck. For me, moving is always a personal process because movers are dealing with things that hold (usually) some type of sentimental value, so I appreciated the professionalism they provided moving all of the weird knick knacks I've collected over the years, quickly, but with care. I'm pleasantly surprised at how stress-free and easy it was to find movers who were easy to work with, flexible with timing, and reliable (as in...they don't operate on Hawaiian time). Thankfully they also have 2 things typically required in moving - strength and a truck. In my case, height is also a requirement, since my fun size stature creates limitations with my moving abilities (to my advantage). Quick N Quality Movers have easily become my moving company of choice and hands down will be recommended in the future. So, maybe moving isn't so bad...when you don't have to do it yourself. read more

BACKGROUND-Moving from apt to storage so hired movers to have 1 less thing to worry about The GOOD- on time, discount if you mention yelp, 3 guys to help move with moving truck and dollys, friendly to work with and easy on the eyes :) The BAD- quoted 2-3 hours over the phone but took 5 hours to move from the apartment to storage..I was told our building elevator was slow (which is ok with me until we get to The Ugly) The UGLY- had to take 1.5 hours of my own time to rearrange the storage and then discovered some things were damaged....wish I had more time to go through it all but was leaving for Cali...and won't be back for a year. I called them up and they gave me an apology ...Just a little update....Moved back from Cali and needed to move my household goods out of storage. I used another company (please see my yelp review) and I'm glad I did...but if I ever decide to go with Quick N Quality again...I will kindly ask them to place cardboard on the cement floor to prevent my wood furniture table tops from getting scratched like they did. Moving kinda sucks. Moving kinda, really sucks. So when I found out I'd have to move this past July, I got smart and looked into hiring movers for the first time. Save myself some headache. And back ache. Michael Gomes was able to give me a quote over the phone after asking a few simple questions. No need for a visit to the house, that was convenient. Off to a good start! Set a date, and things are looking good. Due to some complications on my side of things, I had to reschedule, they were very accommodating. The day of the move, they were late and I was stressin! I only had the elevator reserved till a certain time and that time was quickly approaching. When the movers arrived I was told I would get half off the first hour for the trouble. It was an unexpected gesture, I thought it was more than fair. Once they started moving, my worries slowly disappeared. The whole team was friendly, and though they talked story with me a little while they worked, they were efficient and didn't waste any time. They were very careful and nothing was damaged or mishandled. What more could you want? When moving things into the new place Michael asked if I'd like him to remove his shoes. As with all moving companies, make sure you get pricing upfront. Having said that, I would definitely recommend Quick N Quality Movers for your next interisland move. I don't have experience with them outside the island, but definitely saved me tons of time and money moving from Waipahu to Honolulu (with a stop at a storage unit along the way). And they were super fast. Only two guys but they jammed it out. I wasn't sure what to expect, having found them on craigslist but I was pleasantly surprised. Let's face it, getting a new place is exciting, but moving SUCKS. I can't imagine ever moving without hiring movers, especially after this experience. These guys are AMAZING. Very fast, professional, and great to work with. For just 2 people, we had a TON of stuff to move - as supply reps we both have home offices and a ton of samples in addition to all the regular things you would have in a house. Our new place was just freshly painted and we were a little concerned about the walls but they moved everything in, up stairwells, in narrow openings, without breaking anything or damaging the new paint. We were extremely happy and would definitely hire them again--though hopefully we won't be moving anytime soon! read more

The boy and hired them to take our stuff from his Diamond Head. I was coming from Wahiawa so I brought some of my stuff that I had packed up earlier to Justin's house so that they could move it in for me also. These two burly guys came and moved things fast and efficiently in one load. All of the furniture was wrapped up securely and they even were able to troubleshoot getting the couch in the narrow door. They were also patient when Justin and I asked them to help us move a couple of things to different spots when we were trying to figure out the feng shui! UPDATE: So, I initially had a really grumpy review up here. Admittedly, the guys had to postpone my move by about 2 hours, and didn't call me until after an hour to let me know they were going to be late. That, in truth, is a major bummer. HOWEVER, we all make mistakes, and Ryan and his moving buddy (ack! Totally didn't ask for a name) showed up intensely apologetic, honest about what happened and as helpful as can be. They also compensated me well (as in discounted) for the mistake, which I really appreciated. They were incredibly helpful once there, and really wanted to show that being late is not how they operate. They worked fast, efficient, and made sure all my stuff was well taken care of. SO, overall.. I'd recommend these guys. If I have any feedback for them it would be that knowing they were going to be late ahead of time (like, 30 minutes before their scheduled time) would've been much better. Still, their rates are super competitive, and given all the other positive reviews, I don't think what happened today is common. They're very upfront and honest about what you're getting charged for, and they just have a good, relaxing vibe which helps a lot since moving is so stressful. let me start by saying, "I HATE MOVING." These guys were great. Got an accurate quote over the phone. Way cheaper then the larger moving company, I don't think they care us little guys since they have large contracts with the military and such. They dropped off boxes the next day so we could start packing(we were not charged for the boxes we didn't use). They were a little late, that's Hawaii, but they called to let us know before the set time and we used the time to continue packing. We asked for 4 guys and a truck for a 3 bed house and we were 90% moved after 4hrs and one truck load. They wrapped all the furniture and fragile stuff that was too big to pack. They loaded fast and efficiently so we could squeeze as much stuff as we could in to the truck They were smart about getting our larger furniture in and out of the doors. They even finished packing some boxes we hadn't gotten to. We had to do our new home walkthrough before the unload and the new landlord was late(Hawaii time again). So they went to eat lunch and didn't charge us for the time. When they got to the new home it was raining and they figured out a good system to keep our stuff dry and not to track dirt in to the house. When finished they all made an effort to say good bye to me, my wife, and child. All-in-All Everyone was friendly and professional. Quote was accurate even a little cheaper. We would use them again and again! On a side note I think I read somewhere in the other reviews that these guys are easy on the eyes and as a Father and husband I am comfortable saying I agree. read more

He visited to the house the day prior to the move since he was in the area moving another, that was convenient. Sent (2) trucks and (2) crews for a one day move. Awesome Awesome Awesome and then some. I've used other Larger Companies in the past and let's just say these folks kick butt. The Crews sent were very helpful and courteous to my elderly parent's and myself as you know moving isn't easy especially large bulkily and/or fragile things. Nothing broken or damaged in this move needless to say lost like in a previous one... BTW Michael was having a baby at this time but was full aware of what was going one Great Job!!! If I could give these guys zero stars, I would. It has been over 2 months and QNQ Movers owes me $1,100.00. At first, Mike and Ryan were really apologetic about breaking my furniture and over charging me $100 on my move. Mike also promised me on two occasions that he would mail a check for $1,100.00 to me on the very same day we spoke...but I NEVER received anything. He is hard to get a hold of and his workers lie for him, saying he is off island, but when you call the direct line, they say he should be in the office at the end of the day. I'm not the only customer that this has happened to the more I read into his company. This company is shady and I do not recommend unless you have crap furniture that you don't mind losing. After looking on Craigslist and Yelp as well as asking around about movers, I kept coming back to Quick N Quality Movers. I called Mike to schedule a last minute pick-up and he was prompt and professional, explaining the rates and asking questions about the items that needed to be moved. Mike and another guy moved all my items into a storage unit within 2 hours, prepping the dollies while I talked to Public Storage and checked out the unit. Mike even gave great advice on what size storage unit to utilize because I was unsure. They were very fun to work with, and joked a little with each other but took the moving portion of the job seriously. These guys were great. Although all I needed was to move one bed, these guys seemed to handle the job with a very efficient and friendly attitude. The owner gave me a flat rate that was very reasonable for about an hour and a half. However, I did notice that the entire process took a bit longer than that, but they didn't end up charging me extra. I was shocked, but I greatly appreciated that (moving is expensive to begin with!). There were two guys who came. First, they walked into my apartment, assessed the place and what needed to be moved, then they left. They came back with what looked like Saran Wrap, but way stronger. I'm assuming it's packaging wrap for my mattress so that it wouldn't get dirty during the move. They wrapped it on both ends VERY thoroughly, and then they proceeded to move everything downstairs into the truck. These guys are very efficient, and they seem to give the best value in town (I did a LOT of research before booking with them). They were also super cool, and my boyfriend even said he had a nice time talking to them. I would give the company five stars, but I hate playing phone tag, and there was a lot of that leading up to moving day for me, which is pretty inconvenient being as I only have very few windows of free time during the day to take or make phone calls. read more

Hiring Quick N Quality Movers made our move a lot easier! They were super professional. Considering that we lived in a one bedroom apartment, we had more stuff than I thought. Mike came over a week and half earlier to size it up and bring us boxes to pack in. The whole move from start to finish took 4.5 hours and I can't image in being any faster. The three guys who were one the job never stopped moving and were so efficient. They also wrapped all of our large or fragile furniture before they moved it out of our apartment into their truck. My husband and I briefly considered moving ourselves with the help of friends but after seeing how fast the three professionals worked, I can't imagine doing it any other way. Pros: -Reasonable price -Completely out and in within 4 hours -Incredibly friendly and personable -Professional and knowledgeable So, honestly there would be no cons but they did accidentally break a really expensive mirror. Outstanding! Not having a truck, being on a time crunch and last minute move, we opt'd for having someone else move us. We called 7 different companies to try and find a decent price, with a good reputation that would still be available. Several of the companies we came across were cheaper, but after speaking with them and reading through their contract, we became uncomfortable. It seems the vast majority were dickering around with small add on fees and preparing to not be surprised if it took twice as long to complete, had I moved by myself. Dishonest, shady characters. Q&Q was one of those 7 companies that we called. The quickly called back and arranged to knock out or move. There was no dickering, no positioning themselves for surprise add-on costs and they were giving me time estimates far less than i thought possible. They had a decent rating so we went with the slightly more expensive company. come moving day, they arrived early and ready to knock everything out. I was concerned the truck thry brought was too small. I'd asked if they could bring a small one due to the clearance limits of the loading zones, but this seemed much too small. But, to my surprise they not only packed everything up securely they had space to spare and tarped everything down, in case it rained. We were so impressed with how organized, professional and polite these guys were, taking great care of our stuff even when we told them it wasn't necessary. After all was said and done, they finished the job in less than two hours.. and this included a second trip to Best Buy to pick up a large TV and deliver it to the new place. Made an appointment and right off felt comfortable with Mike Gomes who listened to our needs, budget and timetable. He suggested ways to cut our cost and gave us a pretty accurate estimate on the move. Let me tell you, the move was painless and the crew were incredibly polite and accommodating. They take a lot of pride in caring for your property, making sure everything is put where you want it dropped in your residence. I recently had to move within Oahu and I was grateful that these guys could come through in the clutch but with that now said, lets get to the points. Good: - Able to schedule us on such short notice - The movers were professional and friendly Not so Good: - Whomever works the desk cancelled my appointment (without us actually cancelling anything) and I was almost left with no movers - What was thought to be a 2-3 hour job turned into a "5" hour job Bad: - The move seemed so pricey - Was not given any compensation for their mess up on the cancellation In the end, I was glad that they routed some people to move us a few hours later than scheduled but felt that there was no compensation for their mess up. Wow. I've never used a moving service before so I didn't know to schedule weeks in advance. Guess how totally stoked I was when Mike Gomes told me they had a slot a couple days away from the end of the month?! (Not that they weren't all booked up for the next 1.5 weeks.) Day comes to move and I get a call in the morning saying they would be leaving and be at my place within 10 minutes (a little early). It's starting out well. Zack and Gordon come a bit ahead of schedule, they look at the situation (and mess) and calmly start their business with moving my boxes and eventually, helping me pack too! It seems they're always equipped with moving material in their truck. I hadn't expected having them pack too so we exceeded my expectations of a two hour move (minimum for this company) to 3.25. It was worth it. So much head ache and stress gone. They took all my heavy, bulky stuff and treated everything with care -- even wrapped my dresser with a blanket and plastic. Not only were they strong, efficient, friendly and courteous but they were great with my 5 year old underfoot too! Thank you guys so much for your patience and good nature! They got everything to my new place safe and sound in a timely manner. No shady business or even any hints of any. Absolutely no complaints from me. I moved from the mainland to Oahu and out of all of the places that I called, they were 1 of 2 companies that I contacted that were interested in helping with my move. They took the extra step of scheduling a trucking company to pickup our container of household goods from Matson, had it delivered to our house, and then unloaded everything for us. The guys worked quickly and nothing was damaged in the process. However from the other reviews I've read, I'll agree that they are hard to get a hold of. I had to call them back numerous times in order to speak to somebody but when finally reaching someone they were helpful. read more

Summary: Very happy with the move, I got the fastest estimate from all companies I asked and the final invoice was lower than estimated (great price). Very nice people, reliable (came on time and called 30 minutes before to give a heads up), careful, fast. We only had 3 weeks to plan a 3BR move to happen on a Saturday morning. We called 4 moving companies (3 major ones and Quick N Quality Movers because of the good reviews in Yelp). Two of the major companies scheduled somebody to come and took a look and sent an estimate a day later (3d to get an estimate), the third company was booked on the Saturday and the fourth (Quick N Quality Movers) gave us an estimate within 5 minutes on the phone, he even guessed right how many boxed we needed. I was very impressed with the professionalism over the phone and in person, the politeness to work around my "last minute move notice" (not my fault), and the ease at making arrangements. If I were to move again, and lets hope I won't have to, I'd call QnQ. I called a few days before I was going to move and they scheduled me right away. Michael Gomes has the best team working for him. His worker even took off his shoes when he came in. That's great service. The price was great, the service was great and they even came early. This rating is due to the below par service received to address damage made to our master bedroom frame. Though, they attempted to repair the damage it did not last and we no longer have a frame for our bed. I made several attempts to contact them and after 6 months they stated that we would receive a reimbursement in the mail. Yep, the "check is in the mail" response. Over two months we waited for a check but since we're a military family we no longer live on the island. Look, the movers were super cool and did their best to finish on time but in the process unrepairable damage was made. I gave them several opportunities to remedy the situation and they dropped the ball. If you work hard and value your goods and eventually have to move look elsewhere for a moving company unless you want damaged furniture and to hear "the check is in the mail". read more
