Wow! What a great experience. Shelly at Quick Plates was awesome! She was extremely nice and patiently explained every step of the process. I purchased a vehicle from a dealer in Las Vegas. The dealer contracted with Quick Plates to help me register the car in California. It took the dealer more than 2 weeks to send all the necessary documentation to Quick Plates. Needless to say I was worried I wouldn't be able to register the car before the DMV imposed late fees. But once all the documentation arrived, it took less than 20 minutes for me to meet with Shelly, get my car registered, and walk out with brand new CA plates and stickers! Thank god for quick plates! I spent 5 hours at the dmv trying to get my license and registration switched to California from NY. I got some of the paperwork completed but still need a vehicle verification and smog check to complete. Instead of having to go back and deal with hours of nonsense I found quick plates who easily did the verification after I got my smog, I left with my plates and registration completed in about 30 min. I don't know why more people don't use them honestly but I'll be returning for all my registration needs! Thank you thank you thank you!! read more

This is my fourth vehicle I've registered with Quick-Plates. I have twins that are 8 months and a 2 year old so the DMV is totally out of the question! I go into quick-plates and there's never been a wait. They help me quickly to ensure my paperwork is accurate and I have everything I need to get going. Shelly Miranda is my go to. She's done all my vehicle registrations and I can't say enough good things. Unlike most places that are use to their industry and use their own lingo and make you feel dumb for not knowing what's going on when you walk in; Shelly explains in detail what you'll need without belittling you. She understands that the average person doesn't go into the DMV knowing every little detail or piece of paper work you need (because all vehicles need different paperwork depending on the year) so she helps you get exactly what you need to make it a smooth process. I've registered 4 vehicles from here including a restored 1986 Bronco and Shelly knew exactly what paperwork I needed for my old cars as well as my newer vehicles. I really wouldn't recommend going anywhere else because this saves tons of time and as we all know time is money! Such an awesome place. The ladies are so nice, it's like visiting your aunts during the Holidays. They charge you a very reasonable price to handle all things dealing with vehicle transfers, registration and plates. They issue tags and if needed license plates on the spot. Just like the DMV; you show up with your paperwork, but unlike the DMV they process your stuff with a pleasant demeanor, know what they are doing and you're in and out of there in less time then it takes at the DMV to wait in that first line where they give you a number to tell you what line to wait in for the rest of the day. It's worth every cent they charge. In the very short time it takes to transact something at Quick Plates your mind keeps repeating over and over, "this is a million times better than the DMV, I love it here". Love this place. It's owned by a veteran spouse and seems to employee military spouses mostly. Super friendly and they want to help. Had to get an out of state transfer done and they knew exactly what to do. The service cost me about $65 bucks including a VIN verification and with a military discount. Getting the same thing done at the Costa Mesa DMV would have taken about 4 hours or more. Sooooooooo worth the money!! I was in and out in just about 30 minutes. read more

We had just purchased a 1971 VW Bus that wasn't running. It hadn't been registered in forever and had been purged from DMV's system. We made an appt. with DMV which took 3 weeks, took the paper work in, waited some more and were told the vehicle would have to be "verified". That was a problem because it didn't run and I had no way of getting it to them to get "verified" unless we rented a trailer or had it towed. NOT! After dinner out one night we saw a sign on the window that said "Mobile VIN Verifier". Went in and inquired about having the bus verified. It would be no problem and very $ reasonable. My son also needed to get some info regarding a boat he had purchased off of Craigslist and they were able to look up the info for him. That was great because we initially had asked AAA which I pay HUGE membership fee's to yearly and all they could tell us was that they couldn't give us that information. Quick Plates is clean and appears to be well organized. Laurian is who helped us initially and Rochelle is the vehicle verifier. She came out to the house and to our surprise, she too owns a VW Bus and was able to give us lots of ideas and tips for our restoration project. Premium service at a premium price. Unfortunately not how it went. 10 day wait, no registration yet. They came back with problems with the title. I corrected the problems and then 6 days later still no registration. Now a request for something that doesn't exist. Then I ended up going to the DMV myself and getting registered. When I went back in to Quick Plates to get a refund, I was refunded the DMV fees but not their $80 service fee for all their wonderful work. I don't like paying a premium for a service I didn't get. read more
