But the website itself encourages you to get there 45-60 minutes prior. We arrived at 7:45 and checked in and got our hand stamp. At 8:30 an employee I believe came out asking the line if we all had our hand stamps and I overheard someone ask if we'd be going in, and he said first show ran late so this show wouldn't start till around 9:30. But it wasn't an official announcement. We finally were shuttled in at 9pm. Our server who had no name badge took our drink order along with others seated nearby. We waited about 10min before she came back and asked us again for our order. Obviously we repeated it, and it took another 10ishmin or so to get our drinks! By now the show is starting. We finished our drinks during the first act. Server hadn't been back and our drinks empty. First act is horrible & political and I really could have used another drink! She also gave us and charged us for bottled water while others nearby were served tap water?!?! Now the Main act was starting and he is hilarious! However, server still nowhere to be found and it's now after 10pm! I finally flagged down another server to ask if she could ask our server to check in us. She offered to take our order asking if we wanted the same drinks, I replied yes, 10 min go by and that server kindly informed us our drinks would be on the way. 10 mins more and our server says she got our order but the bar is backed up it'll be a few more minutes. Meanwhile EVERY ONE around us with different servers have gotten multiple drinks and food orders delivered throughout this tine. Finally we get our second round of drinks about an hour after we arrived. We drink those and it would have been nice to have a 3rd round but instead all other waitresses who had been serving up food and drink non stop are now issuing tabs as the show is nearly over. So we also get our tab. I came here to enjoy my anniversary with my husband. Enjoy some drinks and laugh a lot. Sadly I my experience was ruined by an inattentive server who I I think was named Chanz based on my receipt?! Should have left no tip but we aren't that kinda folk.

We were feeling comedy and the other locations were sold out. So Ogden it was. It's located on historic 25th Street, lots of good restaurants within short walking distance. Even a country music concert at the park across the street. Lots of foot traffic along 25th Street, it was a fun atmosphere. Next time we'll go early and hit up a restaurant before the show. Even though it's located right on 25th Street you enter from the alley way on the east side. Prices were good, comics were fantastic, food was just okay, but not what we came for. Small intimate setting, maybe holding 100 to 200 people max, no bad seats in the house. Seating is first come first served. We saw Alex Velluto and he was great. Even the opening acts, JD, Spence and one other were good. Not a cuss word spoken all night and very clean shows. The worst comment was from the audience. Great, fun, happy night out with the wife.

And due to their unique business model, it is VERY AFFORDABLE. I'll be the first to admit I didn't think "family friendly" comedy would be nearly as good as "adult comedy" ... but I was promptly schooled. "Family friendly" does not mean knock-knock jokes or jokes without innuendo/subtext ... I laughed so hard I HURT. A wonderful surprise and a testament to the amazing talent on this channel. Instead of paying $15 month or $150 year like many other services, as of the date of this post they offer two very affordable tiers: a low monthly rate (under $7) OR an annual subscription which is crazy CHEAP ($40 a year!). They help to keep overhead low by allowing comedians to accept on-screen TIPS from viewers. This encourages each comedian to bring their A Game -- the harder the laughs the higher the tips :-) What a novel idea! I started with a monthly plan to see if I'd find the time to watch it, with most shows lasting about 20 minutes. I found belly-laughs a great way to start my day, so quickly upgraded to the Annual Plan. I've been enjoying these shows SO MUCH that I'm actually planning a trip to attend the live taping of a show! I highly recommend everyone check out this amazing channel. After all "laughter is the best medicine."

Being tall, I made sure to sit on the end of the row. But I will say, I thought the seating to be more comfortable than I anticipated. I didn't drink, but got a soda which was $3. I didn't think that was awful given I was in a theatre AND I was in Park City. The only downside was the pre-show which began with them asking for money. I assume this is because most folks are locals and they are a non-profit. All wonderful things, but it felt super salesly and honestly, I didn't come for a sales pitch I just wanted to hear some great live music, which fortunately I did.

We saw Dracula vs. the Hunchback and it was fantastic! It was funny and interactive; they had great parodies for well-known songs and the actors were super entertaining. If we lived in town, we would be frequent patrons. When we return for graduation, we will be sure to come by if there is a show playing. What a completely unexpected and delightful night we were able to enjoy! I would strongly recommend it and am very grateful we had the opportunity to see the show in the rather comfortable fold up chairs. Next time we will buy tickets earlier and sit in the super comfy seats!

The snacks were inexpensive and typical movie theater fare. Think popcorn, candy and sodas. They were quick to get your snacks and were on time with the performance. Afterwards the cast will meet guests outside the theater which is a very nice addition. The ticket pricing was similar to seeing a movie. So, for something different and cost effective a great family night out!

If improv ain't your thing, then it's probably best to stay away or come during the early evening for a straight up show. But Quick Wits has been at it for a while and depending on who's there it can be pretty entertaining. If you'll reach back to the recesses of your mind, you'll recall that this location used to be the Comedy Circuit. It's set up just like you'd expect a comedy club turned theater would be. And sure, it's had shinier days, but they do continue to light the marquee out front and since becoming Midvale Main Street Theater a few years back it's in good repair. Parking is on the street (perhaps in back? Don't quote me on that one) and I'm a fan of old Midvale Main. It's not the hip hop happenin' place it could be, but it's a unique place to grab some laughs.
